I think my mom got this after a fall on 9-24-2021. She has minor Dementia but really went over the edge a few days after her fall. She was in the hospital for a couple weeks and was given medication. She is now back to her normal self and is recovering in the nursing home.

This was a great interview! I am curious the progress! I know last year when my stepmom with dementia/alz went into the hospital. She was there a few days without us then we were able to see her. They had a "Virtua' sitter with her. It's so frustrating to be called a visitor when we are part of the care team. They have such limited knowledge of our loved one and a lot of assumptions get made. My stepmom had delirium there a bit. And even now has it at home on a fairly regular basis. Wish we could figure that out! I would love if there was a letter we could send to the patient advocate or someone in the hospital about just this issue. As sadly it's still ongoing at times due to the virus still being an issue at times.

My dad came back from the hospital as a result of covid 40 days later. He has been taking antipsychotics for the delirium that has helped a lot.

That is good to hear, but if you have Lewy Body Dementia, it can be deadly to give them antipsychotics

    My dad recently contacted Covid
He called me 10 times a day
Now not so much, he thinks he hast to go to a sales call and he keeps trying to get out of bed even though he can’t walks but he seems to be stuck in a couple of years ago . Does that sound familiar
So he tells me to call the police because they’re going to kill him in the care center he’s in

Ask them to use geriatric protocol. Hospitals are VERY noisy 😨 that should be addressed. Nearly impossible to sleep. Try not to be in a hospital. Stay at home as much as possible. Wear a mask in the home if you live with multiple generations. Thank you for addressing 'caregiver in the hospital.' No Benzo Class Drugs ! Stay safe all. 💕
