I liked the parent scenes an dialog. I know some ppl said it was "boring" but i enjoyed those themes and character development an the black fatherhood and son dynamic an black men communication, and the Latina culture from the moms side. It all helps to flesh out who miles is.
I saw it in IMAX and there were sections where the sound was terrible. Characters sounded muffled under the music, a section where you couldn't make out what Miles was saying, and I needed subtitles for Hobie.
Glad it wasn't just my theatre. I wonder if this was an issue for a lot of people? I could barely hear what the characters were saying during fight scenes.

Still my favorite character even tho I couldn’t hear most of his lines, his demeanor, his style everything about him was cool.

This movie was absolutely amazing. I'm glad I didn't watch any trailers or watch any content on this movie. It was so much more enjoyable not knowing any advanced info. I was pissed at the cliff hanger ending but so glad I'm going to get another movie

Ramped up everything that was possible !) Impact/Impression 7 (I was totally flashed when outside cinema, no doubt, but I was really questioning why the spot got so less light and got op so fast plus Miles getting away so easy followed by hundreds of Spiders 😂) = 24/30 Truly a wonderful piece of art, for me right on the step with the first one, even in its own realm 🥳 I’m thinking there are things, but overall I’m just hyped for part 3 next year, so total recommended !

Welcome back Break Room!! I missed you guys so much. I thought it was just my theater where people were shocked that this is a two-part story. I saw this movie in IMAX and the animation just popped. It was amazing.
I give it a 5 on acting, 4.5 on story (only because they could have cut a bit out of some parts to fix the pacing in the middle), 5 on animation, and 4 on score/music (I loved the music in the theater, but couldn't even remember any of it the next day; compared to "Into" where everything from the soundtrack to the musical motif cues are still burned into my brain 5 years later).
I know as fans we do all this reaching but I feel like there’s more to Jessica Drew, she mentions her husband when she first meets Gwen, then she talks to her about getting over something when she says she can never see Mike’s again. Who is the hubby!?
Gwen was crashing in Hobies dimension because at that point in the story she was literally homeless. Hobie opened his home to a kid on the street, as a good punk would do.
Yeah, I understand Miles' insecurity, but people are making too big a deal of this. When she came to Nueva York, she had nothing but her costume and a pair of combat ballet slippers. All her clothes are borrowed and she bounces from place to place. Plus there was no romantic vibe between Hobie and her. Hobie was acting like a big brother who couldn't help but embarrass his little sister in front of the boy she liked. He calls her "Gwendy" and Miles "Peter Pan." Dude knows they're a couple who just haven't admitted yet.
I was looking into the eyes of a loved one when the light hit them and their brown became golden and that happens with miles and his mom later in the wrong universe His mom's eyes are green and thats when I knew it was wrong.
I will preface by saying that I think the actors did a fantastic job in this movie. That said, screen actors, in general, need to stick to the fucking screen. I understand that big names are going to put people in the seats but it leads to subpar acting and denies voice actors their well deserved chance to get big roles and get paid the silver screen bucks. Perfect example is by watching What If. I love Sebastian Stan but his voice acting as Bucky in those episodes is horrendous. The person best suited for the job needs to get the role, and the people best suited for voice acting roles, surprise surprise, ARE VOICE ACTORS!!! There are most certainly exceptions to that rule and I think that the actors in this movie show that it is possible for a screen actor to be proficient at both jobs. But these extremely talented voice actors deserve their moments to shine much more than some of the big names who have no clue how to perform in a booth.

This movie was very poetic in the writing the way it sets up the ending at the beginning . The simple exposition of complex concepts . Etc etc
