I've done storyboarding myself a few times with grease pencil, but never thought about utilizing the timeline to show off timing. It's actually very effective.

Wow, this is awesome. Thank you so much for not just explaining the technical intricacies, but also giving general advice concerning many aspects of storytelling and how to approach a short film and a story board in general. Also, the pace of the video is very good skipping the rather annoying parts of the drawing to have more time for the "bigger picture". And the method shown here is really quick compared to other tutorials I've seen concerning grease pencil and story board.

This is SOOOOOOO helpful. I've been looking for a way to storyboard easily without having to use storyboard pro; photoshop and clip studio have been more trouble than they're worth. I actually just learned how to use blender to understand grease pencil specifically to watch this video, and now I think I understand it!
I actually have homework for a storyboarding class I need to do today, so I'm going to use this method to try it out, thanks so much for making it so clear, and also keeping the important storytelling aspects in the lesson too, rather than it simply being a technical tutorial!
