This was a lovely look at Sítio and Nazaré. I consider watching the winter sunset, over the powerful giant waves, from the cliffs at the lighthouse… one of the (many) highlights from my 3 months on the Silver Coast. It is definitely magical!
Goosebumps and endearment tears... wonderful video. You should do a video on the nearby town of Alcobaça. The local monastery is 800 years old and it is one of the most remarkable middle ages building in Europe. Don't be fooled by the façade. It was built in the 1700s. The interior of the church is still the original. The kitchen is unforgettable. And there is the story of king Pedro I and his lover made queen after death, Inês de Castro, to be told.
Thank you so much! Oh, that’s a great idea! We will definitely go visit Alcobaça and hopefully do a video there. Thank you for the suggestion! And thank you for watching! :)
Beautiful video. The drying of fish on the nets is unique to Nazaré. I haven’t seen this method anywhere else. I especially loved Kyle’s message to Mandy at the end. Keep making memories in Portugal. 😊
Agora sim, vocês surpreenderam-me com a Dona (Senhora) Rosa, que linda empatia e carinho, muito bem, parece-me que ainda continuam humanos, isso é muito bom!❤
This was insane to watch. The music and everything, I personally enjoyed how you really expressed the ups and downs of Nazere. It really felt like you are really there in the moment. Keep going, I can't wait for the next episode!
I remember seeing you both on the marginal riding your skateboard. I think you’re the only person I’ve ever seen riding a skateboard so it sticks out in my memory.
Very touching video. I'm familiar both with Nazaré and Sítio but you made it even more special with the human bonds you've highlighted. I've done the same close by in Lourinhã. The human element and friendships will make your adaptation a success. 🔑👍
Thank you so much! Yes, the communities here are so lovely. We haven’t been to Lourinhã yet, but it is on our list to visit. It sounds wonderful. Thank, again!
Loved this! Came across your channel as I may be moving to Nazare for the winter months and was wondering how do you travel with your girls? Do you homeschool them?
The goverment is buying local houses and resell them short after? And I respect all imigrants that move here to work and help their families. They suffer with house crisis as much as portuguese.
Beautiful love letter to Nazare. Can't wait to see through your eyes, the wonders of this small piece of land by the sea.
Welcome home!
Thank you so much! That’s very kind of you. Thank you for watching! :)
@@mandyandkyle If you're ever close to Guimaraes or Braga, I can give you some pointers ;)

The bread is called bolo do caco and is from Porto Santo/Madeira Island, now you can find almost every Portugal like the pastéis de nata
That’s great to know! Thank you!

U are such a lovely couple
Thank you. We think so too. 😂
What is the school situation for your children? Are they fluent in portuguese yet?
Real estate speculation by foreigners is making impossible for locals to buy or rent a house
Blame the government, not the foreigners.

Portugal doesnt have tapas (that's spanish),.we have PETISCOS and they are better.
