Great to watch you work hard on theses machines I also have farmers that need it done yesterday we use same machines are for cutting peas and other veg take care Warren
I know making these videos is a pain but they are great instruction for the rest of us so thanks. Your video skills are really good. You probably could make and sell instructional videos to aftermarket companies like Jensales.
You are amazingly knowledgeable! I watch all your videos. My brother lives in Hanford, and I was just there visiting. The central valley is incredible. Thanks, Eric
New to your channel I am a journey man heavy equipment mechanic with seven years of heavy duty truck and equipment experience and seeking to become a certified diesel technician good videos keep them coming
Good ole Duke holding down the seat while you work on the 2550. Funny. Seems like it is forever between videos and i look forward to each new video. Thanks for your dedication.
Hell that's one fancy stack wagon i ran a super 1048 in my day we thought it was fancy as hell had a swamp cooler on the cab that would piss on ya going over then rough stuff. Thanks for taking me along and sharing your knowledge.
Jeff Martin I started on a 1065 , last one I ran before I started working on them was a 1085 . These guys got it easy now with the auto trans in them .
Had the same hitch problem on a 6410. It was the hitch depth sensor . I believe it comes as an assembly. Part# RE57992. I sweep tested all the potentiometers and could never find the problem until I put that assembly on it. And it fixed it! Good luck!Ps. I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work your hell of a mechanic!
Warren you ought to rig yourself a remote starter button so you can turn the engines over standing there would save a lot of climbing, keep em combing they are great vids
Got a New Holland that had pto fender switch codes (which disabled the pto)and all it turned out to be was the plugs were laying in dirt and whenever it got moisture in it it threw a code. But as you say without a code on that 6400 you'd have better luck finding a needle in a hay stack especially with all the wiring covered in shit on it. I'm sure you'll get it, keep up the good work!
Love all your videos Warren! A few years ago the Factory I work was manufacturing hay rakes for New Holland. I was in a assembly with a guy training me. Lots of hydraulic hoses to install. I asked the guy how tight to make the fittings? He said, as tight as you can possibly get them. So we built about 10 of these things and tightened the fittings with all our strength. About a year later I learned the fittings were supposed to be torqued to a specific foot pound as to not crush the O-rings. I was just doing what I was told so it wasn't my fault but I lay awake nights thinking about hundreds of hydraulic fitting leaks on New Holland hay rakes.
Need to make a bank of batterys on the truck with heavy dutie cables you hook up for jumping can also put in isolators so you can charge the bank with truck while running or unplug it to switch over to 24v
Your right about testing circuits with ohm meter. Circuits will test fine with no load on them but as soon as you start running current though things then problems will show their ugly head.
Stepper motor driver is for sure possible, maybe a bit of trouble making sure it won't be harmful to the motor? You Tube amazingly enough is a fine place to look that sort of thing up and see just what others have done too, large Arduino doings for example. For all I know there might be $20 do it yourself kit to move an Arduino robot around using stepper motors.
Hey Fred what ya doing? oh the 8400 swather won't start! is it center locked?sometimes that lock sticks. it's fred and the new head wrench Rob and he has a screwdriver in his hand,I says man you best be careful doing that that sob will take off on ya.he was also kinda of a boss also, ain't you supposed to be tying that load down and getting down the road,I turned around went back to throwing my ropes on the truck, couple minutes later I hear the 8400 fire up sounded like full throttle ass end of the swather comes flying thru the shed,I scrambled down the load run in the shed there both standing there dumb looks on there face I climb up in the cab throttle it down center lock the steering, I looked at him said ain't you got a swather to fix and shed to repair and walked out.
Question a ford mustang gt cranks over has spark getting fuel to fuel rail no start changed the box in the right side finderwell still no fuel to motor
western truck and tractor repair that makes sense.... the strawberries should've tipped me off...... New subscriber and have really enjoyed the work you do
@@westerntruckandtractorrepa1353 Drove through MacDoel last weekend on the way from Idaho to Yreka for my 60th class reunion. Used to shoot ground squirrels on the Prather Ranch when I lived in Calif. I noticed there did not seem to be any squirrel activity in the alfalfa field you were working in, must have poisoned them?
Nothing comes to mind for the 6400, don't get them here, have fun chasing harness sections, the amount of shit under there its probably somewhere between the hcu and outputs, yay for negatively switched controller outputs.....edit: just realised if a solenoid coil has shorted somehow that will also tell the hcu there is a short so pulling all the coils is a start....fingers crossed the performance monitor will tell you more and be useful on all the 00/10/20 series
I once remote started a Fiat 6 with a 3 furrow disk plow hooked up i ended up with 3 furrows for 20 feet down the middle of the work area before i could hop on n shut her off NAH to the remote start.
I have a NH 260 rake that is hydraulically driven should it have a selector for open or closed center like you showed? I run it on an open center tractor but haven't seen a selector on it.
Watchin your show makes me wish I’d have learned how to run a combine (I’m aware your workin on a swather) Learnt everything else just not that one Had thoughts of getting a service truck to do your kinda work [tractors only ] but damn it you work too damn hard ha ha ha
you know warren, you hinted you charge 100 an hour. I think these guys are getting a really good deal. In fact if you charged 150 for the care you put into your service, I could understand it. I just hate california, its laws, its politics, but you folks are real in your area. I think with your talents in another state that had better politics, you would do better than when you have a winter slowdown.
It would not take much to relocate the ignition switch for your air compressor to say inside one of the tool cabinets or even on the back of the truck so you dont have to jump up an down to turn it on and off. Of course you probably have a reason for not doing it.
For sure your right but that should already be into the control of the machine though. No difference in the switch being on the machine or anywhere else. If it is not it would not be hard to do.
There is a song titled "man of constant sorrows" but you seem to be a "man with constant problems"! I have to ask do any of the farmers in your area work on there own equipment? I mean aside from the more complicated stuff. That stack wagon as you said should have been an easy fix. Oh well it just means more money in your pocket.......
A man this tractors are full of wires hoses and connectors how do you know we’re everything goes because every tractor is different you should work in nasa

Ok Warren. Glad your back sir I'm kinda hooked on your vids. You are a fountain of wrenching knowledge my friend.

I see you are using a frame stand instead of just a bottle jack, great idea.

Looking forward to when you get the service advisory. I have a 7800 with hitch problems.

Summer and hay making great memories
Great work Warren as always 🐕🐕

D6 Vanhalen EVERY nut and bolt has a torque rating. The maintenance manuals spell out each torque rating as necessary.
No Front Anderson Socket saves open close of the bonnet .
Love your style of videos. Thanks 👍
Been waiting for your video....thanks keep up the great work.
Love your videos great job
Great to see you back Warren 👍
Nice to see ya bud ! Courios to find out what’s up with that hitch issue? Great video thanks for sharing 👍
Need to make a bank of batterys on the truck with heavy dutie cables you hook up for jumping can also put in isolators so you can charge the bank with truck while running or unplug it to switch over to 24v
It's hard to believe that 2550 came out in '95-'98.
The things look straight out of the '60s.
The technical tap tap then pull the offending part my kind of detective work
Great Video.
I love the smell of fresh cut grass also
Your right about testing circuits with ohm meter. Circuits will test fine with no load on them but as soon as you start running current though things then problems will show their ugly head.
Eddie Reichel that’s why you always check voltage drop. This is the stuff that separates the real mechanics from backyard hacks.
Awesome video, a guy can learn a lot from just watching.
I new to your channel. Awesome videos.
Ron chapek Thanks for watching .

Eric Hatchett I remember an 1112 one time that a guy did that too.
Freshcut alfa is the best smell right next to diesel
aj: in the willamette valley, in the pole bean field we had an old cat. the diesel idling smelled exactly like snickerdoodles. I always liked it.
Hoppes #9 and smokeless powder 🔫
That was like watching a horseshoer cleaning hoofs
Question a ford mustang gt cranks over has spark getting fuel to fuel rail no start changed the box in the right side finderwell still no fuel to motor
Them fuel pumps have got a manual stop lever just under the throttle lever.
How the hell did they manage to pull out all the leaves on the air vents
Coeur d alene tracter is the same here in coeur d alene idaho.
What for brand is your 3/4" impact

That performance monitor sounds interesting you think u could show that?
Tracking says next Tuesday, so probably Thursday when it shows up.
Is that a different service truck?
Why are you using the small service truck?

Another nice video buddy what's your go-to product to clean the grease off your hands
Cherry blast from Kimball Midwest
all dealers and after market parts places here always have all them little parts in stock
Not these clowns ! We love paying freight.
I bet you do,,,, even a final drive motor for any model 90% of the time its in stock..
I have a NH 260 rake that is hydraulically driven should it have a selector for open or closed center like you showed? I run it on an open center tractor but haven't seen a selector on it.
All the ones I've seen have Brett.
stepper needs pulse wave modulation
Have you had to work on those iveco motors much warren?
No , just small stuff like rail pressure sensors and some crank sensors. Seem to be pretty reliable.
Its interesting how the global economy all gets put into american machines. Keeps a guy on his toes i guess
Watchin your show makes me wish I’d have learned how to run a combine (I’m aware your workin on a swather)

Warren did you ever finish the 518 cat log skidder
Service truck could do with some air in the front tires dood
Does them bw28 have any problem with frame cracking with that milstak head?
Oh yeah , it's too much for it .
What's the truck frame with the engine and transmission in it?
Wesley Cooper its for harvest hay
Excellent
But did you tighten the air conditioner belt?
Already adjusted all the way out.
he is a real mechanic ?? does not wear gloves to keep his hands clean ??
Warren how do you charge your freon in the field ? Meaning do you use a scale or guestamate by pressures ?
I use a scale .

Need some new front tires on that JD - BAD
Bald are better for hay ground saves the crown on alfalfa also plant roots.
HI from IDAHO

Johnny Holland I'm guessing most of these are commercial farms so when they have a problem they just call the service company.
Welcome back. Lol
Thanks
