Tony Bennett was born on August 3, 1926, in Astoria, Queens, New York, (USA). He is a well-known singer. Son of shopkeeper John Benedetto and seamstress Anna Suraci. His father was born in Podàrgoni, Calabria, Italy and his mother in the United States. After his parents also emigrated from Calabria. He grew up with an older sister, and an older brother.
