Following Mr. Paul Weller's art work since 2001 when I first heard "You do something to me" & back in 2005 I bought Studio 150, there the Black is the color has spread it's spectrum on epic proportions! Respect for Mr. Paul Weller 😊✅💜 Thank you for posting Creative Thinker & & I'm a new subscriber count 🎉

Actually, the song is MUCH older than her version. I do love her interpitation, but it's orgins are far older, and much deeper. Glad you enjoyed this one.
lol I like the song so much I really wish there was a vid so I decided bugger it and slapped the song with another Paul video. I did ask him recently if there was a vid or a dvd compilation with a live performance of it for us all to see.
Jeez. Paul Weller covers Hamish Imlach! Got oor Hamish daein' this on the 1966 album "XTRA". Hamish Imlach's version iz much better (thanks mainly tae his nifty guitar arrangement and better voice), but glad to hear this lovely song again.
Paul you are a Legend, I saw you in Dublin, 'You do Something too me' was class I nearly collapsed, Please check out my version sorry bout the 2nd string....Learning Country too :-)
Which do you think is the original? Even Hamlish Imlach's version - brilliant by the way, or Davy Grahame's, absolutely incredible - are not original (but at least they are Scottish like the original).

It's a Scottish song...
Fuckin awesome👍🏻
the best interpretation of this song is in fact by Nina Simone, which is unjustly not available on RUclips from what I can tell
@ryan07903 My friend black is a colour.
Christy Moore does the best version! But Weller does an ok version!
did you create this? :\
Its a Glasgow folk song. Christy Moore was on the Late late show talking about it. So elaihao sorry your wrong.
I like this version, but I doubt that it's Irish. Why would he go to the Clyde to mourn and weep if he was Irish?
It's probably Scottish in origin.
☁️☁️🌈😴
