Replacing A Cam Cover Gasket On A FIAT Seicento Sporting
Hello guys, welcome back to Car Obsession and welcome back to 'Bella', my FIAT Seicento Sporting. In this video I'm ticking off another item on the to-do list in the way of replacing the cam cover gasket, or the rocker cover gasket as it's also referred to as.
This gasket is the highest placed gasket in the engine assembly and sits between the cylinder head and the cam cover, which is also referred to as a rocker cover, or a valve cover. It's not uncommon for these gaskets to fail over time allowing oil to leak out, which will make a mess of your engine bay and possibly your garage floor as well, depending on how bad the leak is.
Depending on the car, it can be a simple job to carry out and gaskets are normally inexpensive. For example the gasket for a FIAT Seicento Sporting cost me less than £10. The job on the 1.1 FIRE engine is also simplistic, as this video will hopefully demonstrate.
Although this isn't strictly a 'How To' guide, hopefully this video will be of use and maybe teach you something.
