🙏🙏 Thanks Kyle for presenting the differences - my RAW 580 has been on the workbench since yesterday, a report on it will soon be available in the German Rotor Magazine 🤙🏻
I crashed with my Kraken 580 two times, and second crash was hard full throtle impact to field. Nearly all helicopter was broken in the second crash, except servos, motor, transmission, ESC and... Carbon tail boom. Tail boom survived both crash only with marks on surface. Nylon screws as protective parts are realy brilliant solution, and saved relatively expensive part during both crashes. I have older Goblin 420 sport to, and same case. Light crash during landing, tail fly out, but stayed intact. Yes, carbon tail boom is much more expensive than aluminium tube, but thanks to the clever solution and massive construction is hard to break.
Amazing heli, stil at the top of my wishlist. The kraken 580 just looks so sleek. I'll keep saving and in the mean time keep beating my 10yo trex 550 clone lol
They are both beautiful, powerful, fully aerobatic helis, depending on budget I would go with the Raw 580 for its simpler maintenance or with the Kraken 580 for its proven performance and gorgeous looks.
Nice Kyle ! Great video and description - I would love to get both of these heli’s - I do have one question.. what’s SAB typical life cycle support for their helicopters - parts wise ? I would love get the Kraken 580 first then get the Raw 580 , Thanks ! Cheers from Waterloo Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Anyone interested in building my raw 580 to the stock setup, I drive trucks for a living I don’t have time to build, in the midwest preferably in IL thanks in advance
Thanks Kyle. Which is your suggested setup for flying the Raw 580 with a 6s setup? I mean motor type and 6s capacity and discharge rate, which kind of Esc?
I have Kraken 580. I have Xnova 4025 1120kv motor, Hobbywing 120A V4 ESC and GensAce 5800mAh 6S accu. I think, it's good configuration, only I'm thinking about strongest ESC. New Hobbywing 150A.
Kyle, you're such an excellent speaker and pilot. SAB is lucky to have such a gentleman. God bless.

All depends how you crash, i had a crash and broke the tail boom without breaking the nylon bolts. Still love the 580
Absolutely love my Kracken 580! It would be great for those hot days in Australia with the open canopy!
Both look amazing.
I’m really liking the look of the raw but both look great. One day I’ll build one when my skills improve.
I ended up buying the raw 580. What an amazing quality kit
Thanks for the good information
I am working on my SAB 700 nitro

Can u convert the raw to a Kraken or vise versa?
Is it okay to use Mini servos for this? I'm not sure what the minimum torque required is for this setup
Yes
With 600mm mains are you running 105mm tails as well Kyle?
No, I am using stock tail blades.
