My companion and I stop walking, hold hands, and embrace each other as we relish the temporary solace of our solitude in a seemingly endless expanse of rolling fields and meadows that go on for miles. We lay out our bedrolls in order to take a nap as the gentle, cools breezes that rustle the grass and leaves lulls us to sleep like babies. At dusk, we imbibe night vision and endurance potions and apply oils to our weapons by the light of spiritual manifestation in our palms.
