Thinking about getting a 360 in 2024 to mod it do anyone know what type I should get and is it possible to mod it by watching a soldiering video I never soldier before so that’s why I’m curious
First step is to practice your soldering, don't skimp on this step or have it done by a professional. Better to take the time rather then bork a board. having some type of magnification is nice but is sometimes not needed depending on eyesight/skill. Aside from that it's mostly personal preference to what type of Xbox 360 If going with a phat console stick to Jasper based motherboards. If going with slim/e consoles anything aside from a Winchester Board is exploitable with RGH3 but some Coronas (anything aside from V1-2) require a Postfix adapter. Best of luck on the Journey!
Hey man. I've been a long time gamer. Grew up and now I'm in my 20s in Engineering school and have been really interested in making a JTAG/RGH. Any advice or good resources for research?
Would this work with the Gears of War Edition xbox Slim? Got one off eBay, and i heard they are shutting down the marketplace for the 360s this July. 😢
I have a retail jasper from october 2008 thats on blades 6717. Can i do this method along with an xecuter demon dual nand? I want to mod the blades/retail nand with jtag, but also have a stock latest dash nand. I dont want to use rgh simply because id rather jtag since i have the option
@ModzvilleUSA I think you're right. After doing a bunch of reading, dual nand is sort of useless anyways since stealth servers are a thing. Great video, I will be following along with everything you did when my xflasher comes in.
@@Josh.Davidson I know mate. As I prefer aud clamp since I always hit the jtag wires from the bottom of mobo. I just like the Boxxdr install as it looks cool. But bending & using alot of things to do the Boxxddr is aot of work. Just for the same function aud clamp will do. I guess I look at the installs differently. See where all the points are & alternative points & if I can simple it down. Without running long wires. But all in all the boxxadr is a cool looking way to do an install. It's just that you still have to run one wire under mobo. Where as you can just simple it & run everything from the bottom.
I did BOXXDR on my Halo 3 Zephyr. I did also do it on my JTAGable CPU swapped Kronos/Tonasket. I then removed it and used a TX QSB I had. On my Falcon JTAG I used the diode method and on the underside of the board too.
nice! I got 2 Jaspers last year on 6717, still have one, put it in a halo 3 shell, JTAG it and left it on 6717. ALSO, I did a different JTAG Method, I didn't use those resistors, it was really only a few spots to solder, the tutorial I followed was ruclips.net/video/TNDFLJm4PEA/видео.html
There's not much of an advantage to the old JTAG exploit aside from cool guy points. RGH doesn't have much of an advantage either, though. At the end of the day, they effectively do the same thing; allow you to boot a modified kernel.
@@jedediahreaver210 RGH 3 also doesn't require a modchip while being as fast. RGH 1.2 is also as fast as JTAG or RGH 3 and has compatability with retail dual NANDs.
Awesome, glad you’re enjoying the unit!
Josh I have a theoretical question, can you somehow spoof the cpu fuses so you could boot kernel 4532?
@@itailevinusing rgh yes you can disable the fuse check
There is a blades dash theme for Freestedash 3
It's crazy how much more complex the modding process is for these HD era consoles.
The ps3 takes like 5 minutes and a usb stick, so does the wii. Microsoft just went all the way with security for the 360

its not that hard really, not compared to the ps2
Wow a Jtagable Jasper, it's been years since I've seen one of them. great video ModzvilleUSA it brought back some fond memories.
its not an official original jtaggable blades anyone with bga skills can make a jtaggable blades with a jtaggable cpu swap
I love the Blades dash, so fast and snappy. Every revision of the 360 dash got slower and worse
haha It never ceases to amaze how often we have the same projects!
Mine ended in a Halo 3 special edition case. :)
Josh is the man! He just retrofitted my Falcon with a reliable GPU. He does excellent work.
I own three Jasper V2, one is rgh with a dual nand xcuter demon / coolrunner.
✌️ The best of the best.
I remember the first time I did the boxxdr method long ago on a zephyr. The things we did to circumvent rrod errors

My Jasper is a genuine JTAG! :)
I recently got my hands on a rgh jasper and I'm loving it rn. No issues related to hardware yet. What homebrew whould you recommend for it
Boxxdr method!....I love that method for the jasper and falcons.
perfect. so much stuff on 1TB. I use rgh3, don't have drive programmer . very like atari, zx spectrum emulators on 360.
Great video. Did you ever figure out how to shorcut to aurora? Instead of going through XeX menu
your intro video is awesome always nostalgic since I watch psvita tutorial don't remove it or change it

Is there any benefit to boxxdr over just aud clamp?
