    Envy tour is a very good ball

      It’s the piece I needed but just haven’t had the greatest patterns to allow me to use it yet to full potential.

    The Envy Tour is definitely a benchmark piece. It has been out for nearly 2 years, and sees no chance of being discontinued as it has become a staple in the bag. You might find the Hazmat Solid to be slightly stronger and pick up sooner than the Envy Tour because of the core and cover being stronger. The core is the same as the Ultima II that is a Japanese-only release, while the cover is the same cover as the Hammer Scandal from 7 years ago. The Envy Tour is using the same core as the Obsession Tour line, which is definitely that control piece for tournaments. You can definitely tell that the Hazmat Solid is stronger simply from the shape it has and how smooth the Envy Tour is.
    I've had the Envy Tour since release date last year; however, seeing these two, I would prefer the Envy Tour over the Hazmat Solid as the first ball out of the bag to see what the lanes are going to do, then ball up/ball down, or surface adjustments from that.

      More I play with it. I agree I be good control piece like my 2.0 was. Be better for earlier. Hazmat is a weird as I feel it a benchmark because I can play from anywhere. But use my DarkWeb for straighter and Hazmat to get it around corner.
      I had a friend with an obsession ball and loved the look just never bought it back then.

      The cover of the envy tour is stronger than the hazmat solid. Hazmat has the stronger core.

      @@roybringus31 I did notice that with vid I made showing capabilities of ball. (Releasing this weekend) When I tried throwing around 5 on house it was too strong. Moved to ten board and it worked good for straighter shots. It needs the oil. Didn’t like it at 500. On heavier oil may go down but 1000 seems to be the play. Excited to keep unlocking its potential.

    I got a Hazmat solid myself this last week. I found that out of the box, it was very over-under. But, after 7 or 8 games, it became a very controllable piece on some moderate transition. I think it works best when you're getting a little deep, and keeping your speed down. Probably lets you get a little deeper earlier than your Dark Web would let you.
    I haven't thrown the Envy Tour, but after watching quite a bit of it, it's kind of a similar story. Very strong out of the box, and need some time to settle down. Envy Tour I think you could have one very dull, and one very shiny, and be able to combat a lot of conditions. I don't think either surface on the Envy could out-perform the Hazmat on medium/long conditions though, because the friction response doesn't seem to be fast enough.

      I have about 10 games each ball now and played with surfaces. Might be using lower surface on the Hazmat just to give a bit more control. Envy seemed to not like the extra surface. But it’s only been on house and one sport so I still have a lot to look forward too.
      Hazmat does seem like it is going to be the deeper shot ball. Could be the ball that gets down lane but it’s really strong off back as long I control the speed.

      I play on wood. So, my Hazmat is fairly smooth on the backends, at least when I can find oil. My experience throwing it on synthetics for brief period felt like it had very high friction response if it caught oil, making it very angular.
      Only time I have tried surface on the Hazmat was once to make it wiggle less through some carry-down. But, found that it lost that back-end hook potential.
      This all makes me feel like the Hazmat Solid is a heavy-oil variant of the original Hazmat. Which has the same coverstock minus the HK22 additive that makes it more clean.
      I plan to use surface on mine for long patterns. But, I'm going to keep it fairly shiny and control my speed for medium-long patterns with it. I can't see myself ever using this thing on anything less than 40ft of oil though.
      Just some food for thought as you keep using it.

      @@MilkJugg24 ya more a long pattern benchmark ball. Will find out… going to be a good ball all around, once I tame it a bit and get the better feel.

      I feel it was a good replacement for my Black Widow 2.0. Seems similar where it’s smooth and got balance a worn down lane and not over react on fresh.

    I was thinking the left lane was over hooking then causing you to under hook on the right but you figured it out.
    They not have air conditioning in that place?

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  11 дней назад +1

      They do have ac, it was just a blind team and wasn’t able to hang out by fans as long. Left lane was giving that read but I’m learning from notes is left lane usually about 1-2 boards more hook. And pattern did give some weird leaves where usually on tougher conditions, shots that are in go through face. When I was way in yes but when I missed 1 board in and it slid on through. Either I didn’t break it down very well and also didn’t have much else help with other people playing similar lines to me.

    Yo Tilly! Been watching for a couple weeks and just realized I wasn't subscribed. Few questions for you though, what do you currently average and how many 300 games do you have? Also how long have you been bowling? Keep up the good work buddy!

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  11 дней назад +1

      Thanks for the subscribe. I have bowled off and on for a while and did do some bowling as kid. But didn’t get serious until about 3 years ago.
      Currently in usbc house through 12 games, 208 avg(goal is 220) in sport league my avg is 194 through 10 weeks. Just trying to get the 200 avg and really hurt my stats with play couple weeks ago.
      No traditional 300 yet. A lot of 299 games 🥲. Only 300 games in 9 pin no tap but I want the real thing.
      Thanks again.

    What did you do to your hand?
    Hope it gets better.

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  11 дней назад

      My right hand index finger was just not liking any pressure on the ball. It would take me almost two games to get loose. Not really sure but when trying to stretch hand index finger had little movement and a lot of pain and didn’t like having pressure on the knuckle. Just weird and annoying. Some nights it was worse and it actually started to affect game.

    imo, you should not be breaking so far out, cuz the ball stays too long on the dry making it very inconsistent. Instead, make the ball tip and break just on the dry (looks like around 8) part so u can miss a bit inside and it can still hold. A good example of that would be your shot on 8:06

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  8 дней назад +1

      I did get lucky a couple those outside shots. This pattern was a bit weird to me and reminded me a bit of house where u need to find that balance of dry. Either it eats all the power of the ball or it is just jumps off. I did notice with this ball I need to be eyes in a bit more due to ball gets further down lane before it hooks. Getting more familiar with it now.
