Thanks for showing us your sanding and polishing process. I used the Polish Your Ball system, which uses a power drill, along with using the Creating The Difference sanding pads. Those pads cut a little bit deeper and give you a real 500 and 1000 finish in my opinion. I will try your method of using a lower speed and stay with a higher speed for polishing. Two things: 1.water helps when applying Power Edge Polish due to the thickness and it cleans the ball while polishing. When i used the polish without water, the towel gripped the ball too much. 2. Also, I see you used 30 seconds with the Power Edge Polish. Storm's new resurfacing guide that includes the Power Edge resurfacing information, they say to use apply the polish with high pressure for 15 seconds. Why did you use 30 seconds on high speed?
1 handed Lefty here. I hated reactagloss. I knocked the shine off my Eternity and Zen and just prefer to keep them lane shined. Power edge looks really good and im thinking of putting them on my Eternity and Zen and other pearls!
Good video. I ordered some of this polish and received it yesterday. I put it on 3 shiny balls I just used a wet 2000 pad first. They all are real shiny and have good backend. I also put it on a Mesmerize because the house I bowl in doesn’t have enough oil for me to use this ball. I haven’t got to try it yet but I will tomorrow. Hopefully it will allow the ball to push far enough down the lane for me to use. I really like the polish.
Really want to see what this will do on a weaker ball like a Hustle Wine, or Burner Pearl. Need them to turn just a little harder. Am slower speed, but rev dominant. Thank you for showing the means for applying the edge. I do have a 2-speed spinner.
I don’t really like reacta gloss. It kind of rounds out the backend when you tend to switch to pearl/polished equipment for extra length and/or angle. The new polish looks awesome!!!
I scanned a new Attention Star (on the shelf) and a new Phaze AI (also on the shelf). The Attention Star scanned at 5000 and the Phaze AI scanned at 6000. So it seems they are using the "water" application at the factory to get to the 6000 surface. From what I have seen the reacta gloss is similar to Compound and the Power Edge is a far more shinier polish material
All I can say is this. Power Edge polish is definitely an excellent polish. I got it 2 days ago and used a 1000 grit ctd pad base with the polish on top. 20 sec 4 sides. The polish is better than reacta gloss
Any advice, Chris, on how to properly resurface a ball? I know that you’ll never get the motion out of the box back but I’m trying to get it very similar especially on my Virtual every blackout?
I think you should probably make it a little smoother underneath, maybe 1000 or 1500 then apply the polish. From what I have seen, if it doesnt seem shiny enough, continuing to polish for longer will be the best bet. all of this is always trial and error, the more you do it, the more feel you will get for what works for you and your spinner
Alex Hoskins said it in his video that Reacta Gloss factory surface replication on a spinner is 500 for 30 seconds, 2000 for 15 seconds, 4000 for 15 seconds, and then Reacta Gloss on top of that. But Power Edge you don't need to go 4000 for 15 seconds and still get 5000 reading? What is Reacta Gloss surface reading? Is it also 5000?
Just curious if u applied the power edge polish to a Gem would it give u a reaction similar to exotic Gem And would love to see power edge on green idol cosmo!!❤🎉😊
I think the covers on the gem and exotic are very different, in my experience applying any sort of shine to the gem didn't really make it even close to the exotic
Reactagloss - rough edge - smooth edge - power edge ???? Storm needs to clarify where they all fit. At $44.95 a bottle the general bowling public could use a little more information. Like the video. Thanks
I use a lot less polish when I do my Balls at home, but if you only really do 2 sides then it is likely similar amount. I do 6 sides...I would say with the naked eye it looks like it is much better than Reacta Gloss, I was never a fan anyway.....
I have a few balls with over 20 games on them and have seen no need to re apply yet. But it is early days. Can be dependent on lane surface or how much oil is on the lanes also. more friction at your center, the more often you will have to re apply I would think
Welp…Storm Products Inc. finally came up with a response to Brunswick’s Crown Factory Compound. And it seems to give the ball a bit more teeth. Color me impressed. Hi, Lynda!
I'm kind of tired of so many pros becoming shills for the bowling companies. I understand they need to make a buck, but it's getting old. I'd like to hear more real unbiased reviews of products and bowling balls.
Glad you showed what surface you used this was a big help

@@CasualGamerPlays because I didn’t use any water I felt like it needed a little more time to achieve the result I was looking for
Thank you for making this video. Greatly appreciated
Thank you for the recommendation! I had my PSO use a Power Edge sample on my Zen Gold Label yesterday. Used it in game 3 of league shot a clean 233.

Nice video Chris, power edge polish definitely is better, the ball reaction was different in a good way like you said.
Great review chris. Power edge is for me. I like the reaction you got from the idol. You always do a great job

Would be nice for future comparisons if you used Specto, so we could see good comparisons of the different lines and reactions off each line.
I was wondering what the sublime focus looked with polish..looks more usable than just 1st game.
Good video Chris, new product looks interesting. I need to buy a spinner.
If doing this to the ball would it be good to suggest having the oils baked before the power edge?
For an asymmetrical pearl the Attention Star doesn’t have that hockey stick motion.
Wonder how Power Edge compares to Step 2 (which I have a bottle of still)
Can you use this method if you dont have a ball spinner and do it by hand ?
I dont think it is very realistic to be able to polish any ball without a ball spinner and get any sort of desirable result.
@@BeefandBarnzy Ok thanks for your quick response and feedback ...
I have polished bowling balls by hand. It takes a while but it’s doable
@@RB-pc7tg yehi i use to use tru cut hand polish and it takes it to 5500 but i was interested in trying this one too
Use a drill with a polishing pad?
Can you test with a durometer before and after to see if it makes a hardness measurement difference?
Dont have easy access to one, and we are done with that rabbit hole.
How long should you sand and polish if you have a 1-speed spinner?

Can you basically do this to any ball? Even solids that come out at 2000
Absolutely you can

How long will it last? Does it get thinner or go away when cleaning the ball after a few games with a ball cleaner?

So no water on the pads when sanding ?
That was a bold strategy for sure! Just adds a little bit more surface

Hi, Lynda!
Ok pro do u do this every frame
No, there is no reason to. Maybe every 30 games
The Poweredge improves my car’s fuel efficiency. 😂

If those ring tens are calling you don't answer them. LoL.

He's literally on staff with them... There's no shilling here buddy. I'd worry more about the pros shilling for online gambling
How is it shilling? He literally showed us what the polish does. Beyond that it's up to the viewer to decide if it'll fit what they are looking for.
Basically every pro is on staff with a bowling company.
