This was a wonderful testimony from a very wise and loving woman. I would like to add that the interviewer was outstanding. She showed such respect especially when Maya struggled with her memory.

“To appreciate each blade of grass.”
She was quite a woman, and the interviewer did an excellent job.

As a Croatian, it's so interesting to hear she lived in a big house with maid and a gardener and an orchard and exotic birds, and attended Montesori education. She was obviously from a very well-off family, because who lived like that in Zagreb or Yugoslavia back in the 30s? Def not Croatians.

Sounds a bit anti Semitic. Croatians should remember the crimes of the Ustashe

She was born in Croatia. That makes her a Croatian. Just like you!

So that justifies the fact that they were kicked out from their house ???? They were Croatians, shame on you.

why does she say Nazis invaded Zagreb???? Croatia were allles of Hitler. Not once does she say Ustase. This gives a very grave wrong imoressiion of what happened in Croatia.
