This was a wonderful testimony from a very wise and loving woman. I would like to add that the interviewer was outstanding. She showed such respect especially when Maya struggled with her memory.
As a Croatian, it's so interesting to hear she lived in a big house with maid and a gardener and an orchard and exotic birds, and attended Montesori education. She was obviously from a very well-off family, because who lived like that in Zagreb or Yugoslavia back in the 30s? Def not Croatians.
why does she say Nazis invaded Zagreb???? Croatia were allles of Hitler. Not once does she say Ustase. This gives a very grave wrong imoressiion of what happened in Croatia.

Thank you Maya for sharing your heroic life story.
❤❤ Maya thank you so much for sharing your story. The recollection of the birds and the Nazis banging on the door- so scary.
Lovely courageous lady
This is such a fantastic lady. She lived through hell and yet, she brings joy to the viewer. Great interview.

Jevreji su vrlo vrijedni, obrazovani i njeni djedovi su bili intelektualci.Divna gospodja, priatna a sta je sve prosla..
Sounds a bit anti Semitic. Croatians should remember the crimes of the Ustashe
She was born in Croatia. That makes her a Croatian. Just like you!
So that justifies the fact that they were kicked out from their house ???? They were Croatians, shame on you.
Her mother was a doctor, how did you expect them to live. You study hard, you reep the rewards.
Such a sweet lady. How cruel to kill the birds, so unnecessary.
We have the same birthday....aug 25th....Happt Birthday.
