Thank you so much! You did a great job explaining how to do this, so we were able to cut a tile successfully, first time!

how do i remove smoke detectors and sprinkler head parts without issue if i am going to use the tiles in the ceiling as a template to trace the new cuts on a replacement when the ones in the ceiling that have sprinkler heads in them are damaged tiles? thx

This tool is Garbage for the job it was used for in this video. The only reason your tegular cuts followed along the edge of the mold correctly in the video with no gaps is because your wall molding was not attached correctly flush against the sheetrock .That tool is terrible for for cutting in any type of tegular tile were wall mold is fasten correctly tight against the sheetrock because walls are never straight and the mold will bend and bow slightly
to follow along the crooked walls which you are aware of hinse the large gap behind your mold in your video. Which cant be left like untouched which I assume it will be getting caulked . Btw you might need some Black Caulk to fill up that big gap lol . That tool sucks for this situation but could possibly be used as a last resort to cut field cuts likes liner lights, diffusers, Axiom . Proper wall mold installation doesn't allow the use of this tool for cutting walls without poor quality so dont use it guys unless you want to revisit everything you touch . Just take the time needed to learn to scribe and cut in tile correctly and give the tool some one you really dont like at your work . lol
