Complete Clean - McLaren 650S at Topaz Detailing London

- Ever wondered what it was like to visit a proper car wash? The McLaren 650S went into Topaz Detailing London to receive a full clean and Level 3 detail before we will apply Paint Protection Film.
Here you can see that process in detail, from the initial pre-detail preparation wash to the masking and paint correction aspect. We also compare both before, and after, so you can see for your own eyes the difference made.
In order not to waste this work on the car, PPF has also been applied and this will be separately demonstrated and explained.

Its quite amazing to see what a normal persons eyes wont see when it comes to extreme detailing. When the average person washes their car or even wax/polishes it, they/we think its amazing but when you get the experts in with their torch, my god, its like the manufacturers have done a really poor job with the paint work. Gotta respect Topaz and Tim for giving the in depth insight.

You can't really see the details on film, but I definitely noticed a difference in color once it was done. You kept saying it was more yellow etc in other videos which I could not se at all, but the finished version the entire front of the car looks much more yellow while the back still looks green. Gonna look awesome in natural sunlight this summer.
I love detailing and making the car look just spotless - But this is on a whole other level than what I can do of course! Stunning car, great colour!

Fascinating stuff I would have never of thought with the amount of money that you would pay for something like these cars the imperfections that come along with it but it is a truly remarkable process in the difference is unbelievably noticeable and I'm sure worth every penny or pence in that matter thank you Tim for the lesson truly appreciate and learned something today

One question, when you'll wash it will it get swirls?or the film helps to protect against swirls?
So I have a question about the PPF; specifically concerning Gumball. Can you put a wrap over the top of this film without damaging it or are you planning to apply just the decals and let the fabulous paint show through? Assuming of course your intentions are to take this beauty on the rally...

Hey Tim, what a difference! How will you now maintain the car? Is it just washing as normal with the film? I assume the finish is 'locked in'?
What kind of flash light is that? It looks like a JetBeam, or maybe a SureFire?

I would have broke down into tears at its presence.
Now that was a properly done detail! Very similar process to what I do to my car, but they do it much faster and with more expensive tools!

You can do all this yourself at home with a little research and a few products - find it fun todo myself :-) (the cleaning part / polish) wouldn't fancy doing the film haha!

If I get a level 5 detail bath, I'd only have to bath once a month!! Is steaming engine bay safe though? I'm interested to know the opinion of manufacturers on the detailing process though!

Maybe its just me (or probably the lighting in there) but the paint looks completely different from before and after the detail, even through the camera. Much more vibrant
getting all the imperfections out of paintwork is like fighting a battle you're never going to win. especially if the car is daily driven. i learned to love the imperfections and just live with it. but this service is incredible nonetheless.
This satisfies my cleaning ocd lol.

Shmee150 most on that show don't have the experience of driving such high powered cars so I'm sure that experience will translate into a good time.
Raymond Thomas But its usually very very famous TV stars on that show. They have yet to have a youtube famous person on as far as I know, but it would be a cool step, as a lot of the car guys that watch that show would know who Shmee is!

If you are having a film put on, why wouldn't you have a level 5 detail to get it as best as it can be?

Price you payed for the car Shmee that paintwork should be spot on really surprised with those imperfections I would make Mclarren aware of this
a lot is being said about the state of the factory finish but this isn't a brand new car. with 3000 miles already on the clock when it was first unveiled maybe the care of the previous owner caused the scratches and defects?

Suppose if you want the same reflection of the paint and want to protect it, some people would get wraps but they don't give the same reflection or perlecent.
