I understand this type of devotion. Im a Dead head and my tape collection was huge. Had four cassette decks in college in the late 80's and moved to DAT players and cassettes as the digital advancement in the 90's to the files in shn to FLAC. I have expanded my collection in all these formats. Must have it all!!
There was a Black American woman here in the Philly Area that ran a VCR non stop for like 10 years from the 70s till the mid 80s she had an apartment filled with tapes and most of her collection is in the national archive because most of those shows we're not recorded
@jovanss2361 Her son said she started off recording her favorite shows and the 11 o'clock news because she worked 2 jobs but then she kept going and going.
New release in the 80s were like close to 100 dollars for new release. But there was old movies priced to sell. Like Frankenstein VHS in the early 80s for like $20.
ps: I found this out when I was like 10-11 years old after I asked the owners of my local video store St B Video why they didn't have the WRESTLEMANIA IV tape. they said it was too expensive to buy since the return on it wouldn't be worth it. I was stunned until I realized that most people weren't rabid die hard wrestling fan
I have a bunch of reels of my nana from the 50s & 60s that i still need to transfer to digital. They were sliced and converted to VHS sometime in the 80s but i don’t think it covered all of the reels, luckily i have what i believe to be all of the large 8mm and super 8mm reels in my possession. When my dad started recording our home movies in the mid-late 90s, he’d make sure to always say the date as a way to actively archive the occasion
CRAZY EDDIE!!! WHERE THE PRICES ARE...... INSANNNNNEEEE!!! I grew up in NYC & he was a crook who stole all his stuff but the deals were good/insane! Look up his commercials. They are amazing nostalgia
I recorded EVERY RAW/SMACKDOWN/HEAT/VELOCITY for about 3-4 years during 02-06. I lost all the tapes when I was robbed years ago. Along with my old NES SNES , Magic Card collection etc. You get the idea. Enough to buy me a home today. Maybe 2. Boxes of Nintendo cereal blah blah blah. I'm homeless today & its frustrating knowing you saved your whole life for nothing. People look at you like you know dont shiet. Never knew shiet, but I was saving things way before it was cool. Never opening ANYTHING.
My ex wife told me she and her older sister would get their dad to record the second half of The Streets Of San Francisco on audio cassette because they had to go bed and couldn’t watch the whole episode. Then they would listen to it the next morning while they ate breakfast.
It is crazy if you think about it, my family actually rented a VCR to record Wrestlemania 2!!! But by Mania 3 we bought one for like 4 or 500 bucks lol! Now people just throw them away.
For me Stereo Town or World Radio were the places to go. The stuff at Radio Shack was ok quality but was over priced. Only people's parents bought the Optimus systems at Radio Shack.
Lol Jim I'm begging you to learn modern electronics and stores. They still have those rooms and salespeople. If you want a quality sound system it's 2k minimum and if you put together a Home Theatre System it's 8k-10k worth of a lot of pieces
Wow history I hope the tape work corney wrestling streaming history buy up all old smokey mountain, wcw go back to the nwa days. Asks wwe what there doing with the old school wcw archive. So much old school wrestling the aew wrestlers should watch. I love the wwe vault on RUclips.
At my school we scanned a bunch of negatives for famous photographer Vivian Maier and they came out great I go to college of dupage in Glenn ellyn il I can ask my teachers if they want to do it
Jim should play a satirical version of himself in a story mission on GTA 6 and should do a fake comical podcast for the in-game satellite radio.
That would be amazing
oh man that would be awesome! even better then Andy Dick's work
Hogan actually told Rockstar in 2014 "you gotta do the next one in South Florida brothers. That's the Hulkster's territory. Like Vice City, but new."
@@PHILD0lol bold of you to believe anything Hogan says 😂
"Photos by Jim Cornette" the book coming soon? As an amateur photographer I would dig that. Not enough wrestling photography books.
my dyslexia won and i thought this said “photos of jim cornette” at first 😂
@@hgriff14 those are for the yearly calendar haha
I would buy that so damn fast lol. Always wanted Howard Baum to get off his ass and release one, but a Corny photo book would be phenomenal

A studio should do a reboot of Midnight Run called Midnight Express, with Corny as a lawman who has to protect a criminal played by Orange Cassidy.
That wouldn't work!! The movie.would be over in 10 minutes after Corny unalives OC
@@bootneyfarnsworth2844 Unless they also cast Rhea Ripley as an FBI agent who needs Pockets alive to stand trial.
Or just remake Midnight Express, and put Orange Cassidy in a Turkish prison.
@@JagerLange Okay that would probably work better.
As long as Try To Believe by Oingo Boingo stays the movie soundtrack, I support this idea.
6:48 Paul Bearer takes over Jim's soul.

That's pretty awesome, did she do it out of crazy habit or did she think she'd make a ton of money on it in the future?
@jovanss2361 Her son said she started off recording her favorite shows and the 11 o'clock news because she worked 2 jobs but then she kept going and going.
She was the original RUclips
I remember getting 10 packs of VHS tapes at Walmart in 1999-2004 for $2.99
I was born in 1980 & yet I still know a lot of these brands Corny is talking about
Soon we'll hear Moxley slurred Jim's lines from Queen of the Ring in his next promo
The first VHS tapes of Hollywood movies cost thousands of dollars. Which is why the only people that bought them were rental stores.
With the porn they made money hand over fist
New release in the 80s were like close to 100 dollars for new release. But there was old movies priced to sell. Like Frankenstein VHS in the early 80s for like $20.
$75-$100 per cassette in Canada late 80's early 90's

Jim, people are now buying those high end receivers and turntables from the 70's again. The used market has blown up in the last few years.
My Grand parents had 8mm home movies they recorded with a Kodak handheld (no audio). It was really neat to watch my dad when he was a teenager.
I made audio recordings of Mid-South in 1984 specifically for Jim’s promos. This excites me to no end.
Jim's imitation of Nick Gulas is priceless. If Iclose my eyes I can picture Nick in front of the camera

Im surprised wwe lost treasures have not done a show at the castle. Corny has so much history in that house
This
Maybe they have this idea, but Jim say no when WWE pitches to purchase the "lost treasure"
Would LOVE to see the Mid-South shows from 1979-1981.
I remember trying to tape top 40 pop chart songs n a tape recorder ruined by the DJ
This guy knows.
When I was a kid I had audio recorded the original airing of the Star Wars radio drama.
I remember when you could hook it vcr to the cable box to the TV and record television.
I have a 4 thousand dollar Technics turntable and it looks and sounds amazing.
Jim still using Plasma as the example of a top tier TV XD
Before that Jim was probably using his Mom's old 27" RCA ChromaColor console.
Anyone else suddenly break out into Beck? "I got two turntables and a microphone!"
Where it’s at…
I remember the Realistik brand.
Magnavox... Smart.... Very Smart... Remember the TVs? Picture in Picture? No one wanted 2 watch 2 things at watch. We just changed the channel

DYN-O-MITE! -- Jimmie "J.J." Walker being the pitchman for the Panasonic Take-N-Tape and Dynamite 8 track player.
I wonder if Jim has any projects with bananas coming up.
Can’t wait to see Corny in Queen of the ring!
I'm from/live in Arkansas, I think he's talking about my aunt lol. I'll have to ask her.

Or Sable? 😂😉
😄
That's funny
Imagine Jim in pulp fiction 😂
I’m hoping some of Jim’s vhs/Beta collection sees the light of day. I would love to see some of the stuff that isn’t readily available
Lol the random weather talk in this video made me laugh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Only worthless pieces of shit spam stupid shitty emojis.
My friend's dad has a burn scar from the lights on an old camera
FINALLY HE CAN TALK ABOUT QUEEN OF THE RING.
If Saturday Night Main event can make a comeback. Jim & WWE should bring back The State of Wrestling.

I taped some old shows for some reason in the late 70s and early 80s from WWF and Superstars of Wrestling. I have no idea what happened to them.
If you find them you can get a converter cable to hook a vcr to a computer and make them digital the watch them on your big tv
Did Brian use ICOPRO for those ear muscles?
IcoPro is the exclusive supplier for muscular ears worldwide.
Do anybody remember Circuit City?
