    I strongly agree with this review overall. It's definitely a clear definition of a "7/10" game, in that there's a lot of little things that hold it back a bit, but it's still an enjoyable game overall, and I'm glad I played it. My thing is, though, the game was largely made by one guy, and now he says he has a full team to help him with his next game, so I think that has potential to be something special, if he can learn from some of his mistakes here and build on his strengths.

      Thank you so much for your input on the game, I have just got started reading reviews and this does look like a great game to play, Regardless of people out there that have negative responses, which I am very interested in reading. But in any case, I always seem to go my own way even if there are negative reviews if I feel that a game is out there that I’m gonna enjoy so thank you for your input, it’s very much appreciated!

    I have more or less the exact same thoughts as you about Eternights. Overall, I loved it, and really want a sequel!
    My playthrough on the PS5 was entirely bug-free aside from just one particular moment. I was at the end of the hospital dungeon and saw some debris that didn’t quite all fit together. I thought to myself that this would probably drop me through the geometry if I ran into it, but I tried it anyway just out of curiosity, and that’s exactly what happened lol. I ended up having to reset and redo a good portion of the previous section again, but that was totally on me, I knew exactly what I was doing lol

    I'm not sure if you considered the bike chasing sequence an awful design choice, but I need to bring it up. If you make any minor mistake and crash the bike even once the game makes you start all over again, forcing you to do a perfect run. I think I had to redo it 20 times until I was able to clear it. It was a fcking pain in the ass. That and that mob fight under the Umbra Tree really lessened my enjoyment of the game and left I bitter taste in my mouth. No matter if I dodged one enemy, there were so many mobs spawned that another one would hit me as soon as I dodged. It was exhausting and really hard, I almost rage quit.

    In fact that it was developed by a single person and not a team like Atlus. I'm impressed.
    He has now received seed funding of $7 million to hire more staff to build a team for second project. With that being said, seed funding doesn’t cover everything. His studio can still work with a publisher to get more funding in exchange for a exclusive title similar to Stellar Blade.
    The art style is not manga like Japanese artists draw. This is manwha which is the Korean art style of manga like manhua is the Chinese style of manga. Manwha can differ from style to style. If you look at Stellar Blade or Nikke it's manwha from Hyungtae Kim.
    Korean developers either use manwha or Asian for realistic style. Stellar Blade is more stylized than realistic. Some hybrid of manwha and realism.
    I forgot the name of the creator but he calls this game a romance based RPG and the art style is manwha so technically it is Korean RPG (KRPG) than JRPG, right? (;
    My first impression when I saw this from State of Play last year was only positive. I'm a sucker for manwha and has been into it for the past 5 years now and I can only recommend it in addition to manga to try something new. Players will get more educated about Korean popular culture beyond music the more games that come out from South Korea.
    The guy who founded StudioSai had left Riot Games to fulfill his dream to start his own studio to make the games he always wanted to make. There are probably more developers like him who left bigger companies to start their own. PlayStation had a develop event in S.Korea in late March this year and 200 companies (developers and publishers) attended. This is the largest develop event for PlayStation since Japan in 1993 when 250 companies attended and when Japan had that many companies in the console market. So from there I think there are many new independent studios in S.Korea to hit that number in quantity for companies if you can count the bigger companies with your fingers.
    NCSoft, Pearl Abyss, NPixel, Neowiz Games, Krafton, Com2uS, Nexon and soon Shift Up who wants to go public.
    Consider 200 companies at PlayStation's develop event that is a lot of small companies in S.Korea. I personally think Korea is on the rise. The future looks more exciting than the limited Japanese market.

    I just beat the game. I had a good time. Characters are certainly the highlights, at least the companions, it was refreshing where we didn't have to be made to be sympathetic to the villains in a JRPG for a change. Just enough to get the motive and move on. Combat is certainly the weak point. No point to parry as perfect dodge slows down time. If not paying attention, enemies can swarm you, and enemies can overwhelm you where dodging is useless. Lastly, any strategy that's "I'll just die to redo this fight as my health will fully heal and I won't lose items," doesn't add a real stake to the game. So, if a sequel comes out, I do hope the combat gets a bigger focus on development. That said, if it wasn't $30 to $40 dollars on Steam, I might of felt ripped off by it, but I really did enjoy my time and will try NG+ when I have a free weekend. Hope to see more from this team.
    Sidenote: Went with Sai first time through. Min, will likely be my second playthrough.

    I feel like the dungeons was very generic, remember me sometimes like a honkai impact clone enemies and ambient. The only dungeon i think was a little beter is the last, better puzzles, enemies and environment. The combat was ok, but let me down a lot with this quick time events, dont need too much of this, even more with bad animation. The waifus and story is the focus and im glad they did so well, like the characters is generic(exepct Sia) but well crafted, u want to know more of him in the whole game. There some details like itens u cant get for the characters and others interact differently with your personality is a touch within the game that even persona doesn't have. The ending of the game was good and satisfactory, changed my mind about the score of this game to a 6,5/10 into a 7/10.
