Australia’s coastal region is still huge so having a megapolis like Tokyo or New York City could easily support the capacity of a large population. It differed from the other colonies because it first served as a penal colony so it didn’t experience the mass waves of migration like the USA initially did. Culturally Australia is western but it is geographically isolated from it’s western peers.
A factor often overlooked is the USA is about 200 years older than Australia in terms of getting colonised by Eourpe, and Australia is only 10 million people short compared to the USA in the same time frame.

Australia is classified as having roughly. 18% desert 70% grassland 17% woodland/ forest The USA is by comparison 45% grassland 46% woodlands/ forest And 10% desert A large amount of Australia is considered desert because of rainfall classification. However, Australia from memory has the driest woodland in the world, and some of the biggest grain production areas only receive 300 mm of rain, so it's not as cut and dry as it's put forward. Australia is also one of the world's biggest producers of food, it is estimated it can feed as of now 80 million people, most of which is exported, the USA by comparison is estimated at about 500million. Australia also has the world's biggest feral animal populations, which are in the millions, from cats and foxes to dear, camel, and water buffalo. I mean, how many nations have a feral pig population of 24 million, or over 1 million camel's.

You refer to Australia as “under-populated” but the present population of approximately 26 million is likely appropriate for a place with so much arid land. Actually, South Korea, with it’s nearly 52 million people squeezed into an area less than 1/75th the size of Australia is, if anything, over-populated (or at least at the threshold). To support their substantial (and relatively wealthy) economy, South Korea is heavily dependent upon external sources for the various natural resources consumed by their economy.
I’ve travelled extensively over my life and settled in Australia a few years ago and can honestly say with absolute certainty and confidence that it’s the best country in the world for so many reasons. Aussies also have a great laid back approach to life and got the work/life balance spot on. It’s not only beautiful aesthetically but also has a beautiful way of life. Good climate and great economy! I just love it here 💙 Aussies don’t know how good they’ve got it. The only downside is that it’s so far away from everywhere.
Australia is under populated for a couple of reasons. 1. We like it like this. 2. It’s so farken expensive to live here. 3. Anytime someone posts a video on RUclips regarding our flora and fauna, majority of the comments are “I will never visit Australia” because they are either too scared that a Bunyip will attack them or a redback spider will bite them on the arse while using the loo! 😂 True story… A bloke had his doodle bitten 3 separate times by a redback. For those who don’t know, redbacks are not to be farked with!
Bunyips are mythical, and redback spiders are a joke. If you call the hospital and say, "I've been bitten by a redback spider," you ll get the standard response. "Are you experiencing any symptoms? No? Call back IF you do." No Australian thinks redback spiders are "not to be farked with." You must be a new arrival.
You forgot about the elephant in the room. Why Australians are dying out now. Myocarditis, pericarditis and turbocancers. Just as in many other countries. It's much more dangerous than any spiders. But RUclips deletes most comments about this.
Aboriginals lived in Australia 60,000 years before Europeans arrived, yet never surpassed a few hundred thousand. The environment offers little without transplanted crops and livestock.

From geography you can almost under the national psyche of Australia. She is fairly distant from her allies somewhat isolated. The bulk of her populations are coastal with no real strategic depth into which she can retreat into. Therefore, she is vulnerable to naval powers and seaborne invasions. She would always look at non white, non anglo saxon civilizations with distrust and hostility. And her history is one that one technological dominant race completely displacing the indigenous population. She fears the same can happen.

Nah, we got a lot of livable land available
Love the editing.
RUclips promoting your vids high up in the algo so much 🙈🙈 good for u man
I’ve travelled extensively over my life and settled in Australia a few years ago and can honestly say with absolute certainty and confidence that it’s the best country in the world for so many reasons.
Ur one of my favorite RUclipsrs, so glad I’m finally early! ❤
thx so much for the support bro!!
❤😁😁
Am I the only one that sees Australia upside down United States 😂
Australia is under populated for a couple of reasons.
1. We like it like this.
2. It’s so farken expensive to live here.
3. Anytime someone posts a video on RUclips regarding our flora and fauna, majority of the comments are “I will never visit Australia” because they are either too scared that a Bunyip will attack them or a redback spider will bite them on the arse while using the loo! 😂
True story… A bloke had his doodle bitten 3 separate times by a redback. For those who don’t know, redbacks are not to be farked with!
Bunyips are mythical, and redback spiders are a joke. If you call the hospital and say, "I've been bitten by a redback spider," you ll get the standard response. "Are you experiencing any symptoms? No? Call back IF you do."
No Australian thinks redback spiders are "not to be farked with."
You must be a new arrival.
You forgot about the elephant in the room. Why Australians are dying out now. Myocarditis, pericarditis and turbocancers. Just as in many other countries. It's much more dangerous than any spiders. But RUclips deletes most comments about this.
I’ve always wanted to visit Australia! Sadly tho I’m in the USA and I’m still in school so I can’t

Aboriginals lived in Australia 60,000 years before Europeans arrived, yet never surpassed a few hundred thousand. The environment offers little without transplanted crops and livestock.
The environment offers a lot. Enough for the population and to import to other countries. Also its Aborigines not Aboriginals, or Aboriginal people
@BrownGoatEnthusiast no people don't say aborigines any more its aboriginal
Maybe you are just older but aboriginal is what's tight in school and by aboriginal
Pretty much yeah.
The area I live in isn’t coastal but it’s grasslands and temperate rainforests, with the further you go towards the city the more dense the population becomes.
I prefer to say "the more people there are". I don't think of any of us, as dense. 🤭🤭🤭
Better staying in South Africa then having spiders in my toilet
We've had inside toilets for quite some time now. We live in cities, too. We even have running water in our houses. 😮
We lost the Emu War in 1932 and had to retreat to the coast.

When I studied World History, I never heard anything specific or any contributions from Australia. This country deserves recognition.
A lot of Australians participated and died in both World Wars, in particular the invasion of Gallipoli in WW1 and African Campaign in WW2. Apart from these episodes, it has been pretty isolationist throughout its history, and for pretty good reasons of having no reason to not be isolationist.
Gold rush? European colonisation? Very multicultural? Basic Aboriginal history? Allies with Japan? At least bush rangers? Cmon surely you know Ned Kelly

"Australian Capital Territory has left the chat"
From geography you can almost under the national psyche of Australia. She is fairly distant from her allies somewhat isolated. The bulk of her populations are coastal with no real strategic depth into which she can retreat into. Therefore, she is vulnerable to naval powers and seaborne invasions. She would always look at non white, non anglo saxon civilizations with distrust and hostility. And her history is one that one technological dominant race completely displacing the indigenous population. She fears the same can happen.
Spoken like a person who has absolutely no idea what Australia is like. Smh.
Awasome making..thank you for educating

How did you do it?
You sound like top 15 chills
no the main reason is not its geography, it's because Australia was discovered lately and far away from mainland Asia, europe. USA also has desert geography in the half west but still have millions of people. The other reason is that US has more reputation so more and more people only chose US to move and live while it's harder for Australia.
But in the future, Australia will be the lead country like USA, maybe even surpass USA.
USA’s deserts have powerful rivers flowing through thanks to the rocky mountains, australia’s deserts are just barren all the way through
@Michaelzing11 Australia's driest desert gets 140mm of rain every year, and Australia has 10 different deserts, the Sahara, by comparison, gets 0 to 76mm of rain a year.
