I accidently set up a vendor for payment from a credit card and now we are getting whacked with a 2.9% fee...ouch!. I can't figure out how to change future payments to this particular vendor from a credit card to paper check. Are you able to guide me through how to change future payments to this particular vendor?

You can change the default payment method for the bank account in QBO. In QBO click plus then click bills. Go into turn on the Online payment mode and from there in the upper right corner you can click settings. You can add the bank account method and make that the default or disable the credit card method all together.

i played with. seems like you can't set up vendor payment bank info until you pay them for the first time, right? no way to set up ach info from vendor record, or inside the online payment part of qb? I converted to qb online from desktop and want to set all my ach vendor payment info up, and can't figure out how.

You can log into Melio payments account and enter the vendor payment details or you can also send out an email to the vendor for them to enter their payment information.

Within QBO when scheduling the vendor payment, it ask for options which are ask the vendor, mailed check or ACH. I notice that if I pick ACH it allows me to input the details, directly into QBO (which technically it is the portal into Mellio).

@@cronuszenyt4432 just learning this recently as someone sent me a check. Here is what I did. I like everyone else has more than one email address. My king drawn out process was cut to a few sentences when I learned this.. Test the process. Send yourself a check for one dollar to your other account. Yes pick vendor gets check. Then you'll see the following.
Vendor has the option to update and correct the address, track the payment OR pick ACH - which is in green.
I do not even ask what they want. I send a check.. I sent a notification that is an email template saying hey money's on the way. Email sent by this company check spam is you dying see it. Pick ACH if you want 3 days not 7-10..
I took screenshots... It had literally calmed down my vendors, who are various people who do one off transactions for sub work in other states.
So test it with yourself real quick. Don't actually put in your ach... Just test to get the email and check it out - pun intended

@@brucehoward3233 Thank you I appreciate it but I have another question..
Is QuickBooks money real money ? Like can I use that money to send out a check or pay a bill with quickbooks
