    Location, location, location. Perfect place. I stayed here as I wanted to be within walking distance to most restaurants around icon park and in that area of I-drive.... Whilst being close to all the parks. It was perfect. Rooms feel a little dated but they were clean and it was cheap. I didn't use the hotel transport options but uber/lyft to most parks was cheap enough. Staying here for a second time later this month. Can't wait. I definitely recommend this as a good base with good value for money.

      Thanks LisebergHelix667 - absolutely agree 100%
      We walked to Icon park a lot ourselves too, we especially loved the Walgreens on the way there for drinks and snacks too.
      Hope you have a great trip later this month

    Excellent Vlog
    I stayed here when I first went to Florida way back in 1995 and it was called the Quality inn international.
    Am from Liverpool UK and been to Florida 14 times over the years.
    Stayed in this Hotel 3 times now 95, 98 and 2009.
    Did you know it was the first Hotel on international Drive back in the 70s when Disney world first opened.
    There is a Video from the Late mid 2000s that was made that highlights the history of international Drive. Dated now but worth a watch. It’s called “History of international Drive pt1 & 2 each segment is about 30mins long.
    Keep up the good work 👍👍👍

    A walk down memory lane, I stayed there for our last 6yrs on the Drive, really well placed for everything you said, our last time there was when they were upgrading the TVs to flat screens, we'd stayed various hotels, first one was Point Orlando at Quality Inn the one at Sandlake Rd was known as lowQ, you can also buy passes for the IDrive trolley and if you don't mind the time, you can use public transport to get to parks, it was only ended when I moved to Coronado Springs ( had about 6yrs there until renovations) spent the last 2yr Port Orleans would have been 3rd year there 2020, but we know that was the year the world went mad, and haven't been allowed travel to US from UK if unvaxed, hope to get back soon, really nice to see old place again, can I just point out if you walk out on the Drive and turn left you come to Dunkin'Donuts and if you turn left leaving just a bit further on your the right you find Chillies and did you mention IHOP

      @@OutAndBackTravel Thanks for your kind words. We’ve never done Disney either. But they chose Universal due to Harry Potter obsession. I will just feel better once through the airport. Since one has driving permit. But one is 14 with no ID. So hope it is all good. Thx again

    Are the transport times set the same all year round?

    • @OutAndBackTravel
      @OutAndBackTravel  Год назад +2

      The transport is operated by a third party, so subject to change at any time beyond the hotel's control. Generally they are scheduled to get there around opening and come back around closing time.
      This will be the same for any hotel in the Orlando area that offers theme park shuttles, most of the busses/taxis are operated by the Mears company.
      In the last few years the ride sharing services (Uber/Lyft) have really come into their own in Orlando, its a nice back up safety net if you miss the shuttles, or they're not getting you there early enough or coming back late enough etc.
      When we stayed at Rosen Inn International we used Lyft and the I-ride trolley, just to give us flexibility to depart whenever we were ready!
      Hope that helps

    Whats the breakfast buffet like ??

    • @OutAndBackTravel
      @OutAndBackTravel  Год назад

      I didn't use the buffet so I cannot comment
      It's worth looking on TripAdvisor and using the breakfast filter to bring up some fellow travller's thoughts, on the whole it seems to be positively received.

    we stayed in 2015 the cleaners are a menace they are out from 8am until late there is a complete Army of them and they show no mercy and some are crooked, i had a load of change that went missing front desk where not bothered, also if you wash and dry your clothes be careful because whilst we was there some guests put there washing in the dryer only for some one to put wax crayons in the dryer, apparently happened on regular basis so was this a staff member doing this, yeah its central to all parks and restaurants but just be careful may have changed but somehow i doubt it

    Were you required to pay a deposit for accidentals?

    • @OutAndBackTravel
      @OutAndBackTravel  Год назад +2

      Hello,
      Yes a refundable $50 deposit per stay is taken on check-in - I was able to pay this as a hold on my credit card
      I hope this helps :)

    Is it easy to get to the Disney parks from this hotel?

    • @OutAndBackTravel
      @OutAndBackTravel  8 дней назад +1

      Hello
      Rosen Inn international is a great central location for the other attractions (I drive, SeaWorld, Universal lots of places to eat / shop) so if you’re going just for the Disney parks it’s probably not the best location.
      The hotel offers free shuttles to universal.
      They do offer a paid Disney shuttle it’s around $18 per person (and has to be booked 24 hours in advance)
      So depending on your group size it’s probably cheaper to get an Uber/Lyft to Disney which costs around $30
      There’s a Lynx (local bus) stop just across the street from the hotel - you need to get the number 8 to SeaWorld and change onto the 350 to Disney Springs
      If you have a car and are driving the hotel has free parking.

      @OutAndBackTravel Hi, thanks for getting back to me with that info. Did a bit of research and I think I will split the hotels on my visit. Do a week at Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista for easier access to the Disney parks. Then book into Rosen Inn International Drive to cover Universal and SeaWorld easier. This should hopefully cut down on the need for Uber/Lyft as those costs can add up! I won't be renting a car as the parking costs at the parks are insane!
