What makes this rod better than the Tidal, but not as good as the Sector??
Hi David, the short answer is componentry and construction. Every manufacturer has a mid range rod, this is where the Wave fits in.
I wonder if the thing will actually cast a fly in an inshore saltwater environment.

I use my 9’ 9 wt Tidal to throw large (XL) Poppers and streamers for Pike (it works well for this), how will the Wave do with this?
Brilliant. It's a Scott rod and will happily handle anything you care to throw. Just be sure to pick the appropriate # for the task.
