Commenting on this old video in case years later someone is looking for tips. I just did this on myself but I do have a mounted mirror that helps me see the back. It looks good and feels secure though I used only a few pins at the end rather than pinning as I went along as she does in the video. I've tried doing variations of this before unsuccessfully and what really made the difference was the topsy tail tool. I have very long hair and without the tool I just couldn't seem to keep it from tangling and going the wrong way and such. I got one of these for like $4 on Amazon and it made a huge difference. Doubt it's the one she links though I didn't look but I bet any of these type of tools would really help on these types of styles. Thanks everydayhairinspiration for this cool and helpful video. :)

You can do it on yourself, but it would be a lot easier with help from someone else :D
