I use the same styling mousse, but I use a leave in conditioner first then a light layer of oil while I’m in the shower before I use the mousse. And then when I take my hair down I make sure to have a little oil in my hand. Great results every time. It looks like I used a curling iron.
I know exactly what you're saying when you feel cool parts in your hair. I did nothing but roller sets when I had relaxed hair and I swear that would be the worst feeling in the world! But I will definitely try Velcro rollers! My hair is super curly and springy and I would have waves and dents in my curls after roller sets. Thanks!
I am about to try this!!!!! I’m excited . Getting up NOW running to hair store lbvs. I need my hair done and shops cost too much! Ima just try it out on my own . I can do this! 👍🏽 thanks
Lmao giiiirl the first few times i tried a couple years ago was a hot frizzy mess and i never tried again. But then I tried the velcro rollers instead of the magnetic ones and now I'm hooked! I've been wanting to try the hourglass/tension rollers because I heard those were even better. But yea, definitely give it another go!
I am about to try the Shea Moisture Hibiscus Mousse for my roller set. I am mad that I have been pressing and curling all these years and never thought to roller set to stretch my curls (like what was I thinking? No imagination...) I got it now. Y'all tutorials were great. But, the only thing I would do differently is I would use the larger rollers on top because that is the longest.
Omg thank you for this video! I would not have thought I could use the velcro type over my curls. Yess! now I don't have to worry about blow drying first.
I just happened to find your video ad I'm currently trying my first roller set. If it falls I'm going to flat iron or braid it up. Yours came out lovely. I've been meaning to buy Velcro rollers as I saw this is what they do before flat ironing.
Great job! I will try this. I’ll stay under the dryer until completely dried and not cool to touch. Hoping for a little less frizz. I have Velcro rollers that I’ve not used.
Yeah it’s definitely the Aphogee my hair hates that product but anyways your hair came out nice I can’t do that but after watching this i will try one more time
Hey girl I just commented on ur other video about the fail....you apply pins just like this...but use black bob pins bc those pins will fit in between the grooves of the hour glass rollers
I’m conflicted.. I think it’s easier to do use these rollers but the curls I think are freeze free with the other type. Idk maybe I have to try it myself.
I use that Aphogee Gloss Therapy Polisher on my hair while it's wet to combat the church of the mousse....hope that helps...love the look I do the same process
Thank you for this video, because I have been wondering whether the regular sized bonnet would fit all my rollers, since they seem to not be selling the jumbo bonnet anymore. Thank you!!!
You should try the lotta body or silk elements mousse with this style! They'll moisturize your hair and the silk elements really protects again humidity. Great style, TFS 😊 #newsubbie
Omg thank you for this! I definitely plan to do more product reviews with roller sets in the future and was going to try lotta body next. I might just have to do silk elements first now though because Chicago summers ain't no joke!
This is was perfect, wonder how often for this, Im guessing maybe once a week would be good, So, if I put on a heavier moisturizer,, I will weigh my curls down
Hi. I love this roller set. What do you do for nightly maintenance? Do you exercise regularly and if so, how do you maintain the curls with sweating? Thank you.
Maggie Green hey chica, I am not a youtuber but I have mid back length helllllaaaaa thick 3c/4a hair. My main style is a rollerset and I am also a yoga teacher so I sweat many times a week. At night (and sometimes when working out if I have time) I put my hair in 3-5 loose flat twists. Then I tie my hair up. I do the same thing at night. Sometimes I comb my hair sometimes I don't. I always mist with a light oil. Every....3-5 days I'll have a night with large flexirods. I can make my hair last 10-14 days using this method. Hope it helps!
Beautiful roller set. Wonderful volume. You look great. Have you done the roller set without using heat, actually? I wanted to try no heat at all. My hair is natural and i put heart in it maybe 2 to 3 times a year and wondered if it would turn out voluptuous and straightened like yours without heat Also, can this be done without mouse and only my leave-in to avoid the crunch? Thanks so much for the tutorial.
question, did the wrap mousse dry your hair out afterwards? I feel it did to mine. I also used a new shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner so Ill try it again to see what was the problem.
Miss Black America New York I have the same issue...I apply jojoba or grape seed oil to my wet hair before adding any product...Ana that first night when I pin curl or put on large flexirods i add even more oil...that works for me! Setting lotion def makes my hair crispy lol. Oh I also apply a leave in...it takes my hair longer to dry but it's worth it!
I'm not exactly sure. I've been doing this every other week for about a month and a half. I switch between a wash and go one week and then a roller set the next just so my hair gets a break. I haven't noticed any damage that way! As far as every week, I haven't tried that yet so idk!
loveee ur hair colours.. i am a colour mad chick.. pls tell me what the firy pinky colours are.. mine is presently blonde natural but use chalk to do colours on top of the blonde.. we have same hair type too.. gorgeous girly!!!
Arrorah85 they're called Velcro rollers. I've had them for years I even made a yt video about them back in like 2009. Lol they're amazing. They stick to the hair automatically... You really don't have to use the clips.
+KINKS AND PERSONALITY woooow and here I am breaking off the Velcro part and leaving it bare cause I thought the Velcro will frizz up the hair once you take them off..
What is your sun sign? You keep looking at yourself in the camera instead of at us! lol I keep thinking like what is this girl's zodiac sign . . . ! But I do like the fluffiness of your set. The coloring is cool too.
I love this tutorial. I was looking for a velcro tutorial with natural hair. Your video popped. I have a question tough . When you removed the rollers does it snag your hair ?
Cute! How long did it take to do? I was thinking of using those velcro rollers too for a roller set bc I ain't gotz the time to be spending 5 years under a dryer with magnetic rollers 💀 lol. My only concern is that it'll snag my hair those.
***siiiigggghhhh*** my hair is so dang long I'll be under the dryer all.dang.day. But I'm trying to save that $60, I hate the blow-dry out. It be looking good tho!!! 💣(Whips hair back and forth)
Girl I just struggled through my roller set. I’m actually sitting under my dryer watching your video. I learned, thank you! I did roll some of my hair wrong. But the pins don’t always keep the roller tight to my scalp 😫 idk why! - oh and I totally know what you are talking about. When I lived in NY & would go to the Dominicans 😍🥰 they would say the hair is still,”wet.” I guess that just means that the hair isn’t throughly dry. Cuz I would be tryna get up from under the dryer saying my hair was dry because it wouldn’t be wet but yet it was cool. It does make a difference tho! Anywho now that I finished rambling lol thanks for the lesson girlie 🤗
Im so proud of you that I want to have a conversation with you. Email me. As soon as you ready. Blessings are about to rain in your favor. Love Meriel.
if you have naturally afro-textured hair, that’s the amount of frizz you’ll realistically get if you don’t flat iron it, it’s just the nature of the hair type.
ok I see you Keyshia Cole
YES! She favors her!😁😊
On soul she does!!
I roller set my natural hair with creme of nature style and shine foaming mousse with argan oil . I love it !
Lotta Body wrap me foaming mousse is my favorite. I also add just a dab of oil on top of that so there's no crunch.
Was about to suggest the same product and take down method.
I do this too!
I typed in roller set natural hair and look who popped up lol!!!! Love this ❤️
Ashley Smith TV lmaooo thanks girly!🤗
This is a beautiful style!! It looks even better without the bone straight look!
I use the same styling mousse, but I use a leave in conditioner first then a light layer of oil while I’m in the shower before I use the mousse. And then when I take my hair down I make sure to have a little oil in my hand. Great results every time. It looks like I used a curling iron.
That color is BANGIN'!

Beautiful! Yes, to roller sets.🙏
I LOVE your hair coloring. It definitely makes the curls pop.
Your hair color is so unique and beautiful
Ok you've successfully made me want to attempt a roller set again. Failed miserably after trying not too long ago. Thanks for this!!
Ayanna Nzinga thanks girl!! Picking some up today! Wish me luck! Lol
Ayanna Nzinga love the hour glass rollers...Velcro rollers are too many teeth for my kinky hair...my hair took over an hour to dry tho.
Results are amazing
You look so pretty! Your hair is F I R E!🤩🔥🔥🔥🔥
This came out sooo good! You are so cute btw, I’m deff trying this tonight! 💖 thanks!
I like it ♥️ I'll try this because Im so close to getting a relaxer....
i like the nairobi (however you spell it) but i think yours turned out amazing i don't mind the frizz either
Omg 😲 GREAT JOB YOU LOOK GORGEOUS!
I am about to try the Shea Moisture Hibiscus Mousse for my roller set. sorry for my bad english im french; thancks for your video! I understand better the technique To put roller now!!
Omg thank you for this video! I would not have thought I could use the velcro type over my curls. Yess! now I don't have to worry about blow drying first.

Her 3 toned hair is everything! I swear my po lil hair would break off with color no matter how much extra TLC I give my colored hair. 😥
Yeah it’s definitely the Aphogee my hair hates that product but anyways your hair came out nice I can’t do that but after watching this i will try one more time
This is like my favorite hairstyle to do
Omg I had kremps and curls too when I roll my hair. I can't seem to get them out whenever I do a roller set
I liked and subbed 💞 I learned a lot more from you than any other roller setters. Thank you your her came out perfect.
Beautiful love the color pop🥰
Hey girl I just commented on ur other video about the fail....you apply pins just like this...but use black bob pins bc those pins will fit in between the grooves of the hour glass rollers

Beautiful results.
Thank yaaa!
Love them colors😍
I’m conflicted.. I think it’s easier to do use these rollers but the curls I think are freeze free with the other type. Idk maybe I have to try it myself.
What brush are you using
I use that Aphogee Gloss Therapy Polisher on my hair while it's wet to combat the church of the mousse....hope that helps...love the look I do the same process
Thank you for this video, because I have been wondering whether the regular sized bonnet would fit all my rollers, since they seem to not be selling the jumbo bonnet anymore. Thank you!!!
how do u keep it up during the week? how long does it last? creme of nature has a good styling mousse
You should try the lotta body or silk elements mousse with this style! They'll moisturize your hair and the silk elements really protects again humidity. Great style, TFS 😊 #newsubbie

What did you to dry it?
What brand of rollers did u use?

Would someone be able to tell me where I can find Velcro rollers? All of my local beauty supply stores do not have any ☹️.
Heather McKinney try amazon !
The Goody brand is sold in Target and Walmart also.
Thank you ladies
can you do this every week? can you get heat damage from this?

Can they still be smooth if you don't have a hooded dryer, like if you sir dry?
What type of rollers are you using

Woooooow. I need to try this!
I love this tutorial. I was looking for a velcro tutorial with natural hair. Your video popped. I have a question tough . When you removed the rollers does it snag your hair ?
That is my concern about it too!! Like, does it frizz up your hair cause it act like a brush!!
do those pins hurt?
Love, love, love and your color is amazing!!!
Yaaaaas luv it!!😍😍😍
keshia h thank yaaa! I'm addicted lol

Lotta Body is my favorite
Beautiful Hair Color.🔥😍🔥😍🔥😍🔥😍🔥😍🔥😍🔥
How is it heatless and you’re using a hairdryer
Yes Rollers sets are very sexy!

did I just subscribe because we have the same name? yup! 😉
Lmao love it! Hey Ayanna giiiirl
This was not heatless.
Heatless rollers
If it’s cool it means it’s not dry lol it’s not just you
Description says "heatless" yet you used heat
I think she meant like straightening or a curling iron type of heat.
Im so proud of you that I want to have a conversation with you. Email me. As soon as you ready. Blessings are about to rain in your favor. Love Meriel.
Not a fan sorry
MT3006 cause you cant do this with your hair
@@rachelg8695 different hair texture
Oh well
No to the tacky color. No to the frizzy curls. Just....no.
