For those wondering why she roller set and then flatironed, its to keep the moisture in your hair versus drying it out using a blow dryer. Its less direct heat on the hair and the style lasts much longer. Also when you blow dry since your drying out your hair you get much more breakage and split ends then roller setting. Your hair also looks and feels healther with this method.
Yep, I was wondering
Makes perfect sense
Thank you! I was wondering
thanks for explaining cuz I was like WTH.....
Flat irons are very damaging too, but if you have the time for the roller set it's somewhat better
Was I the only one upset about them beautiful curls being straightened out
NO. These stylists don't care about nice roller set styles like soft curls, nice blowout with bumped ends, beach wave styles ..etc. They have a "Straight Hair" mentality and have to use that Flat Iron and even talk clients into straightening their hair. ONLY natural hair Salons that actually Do Natural Hair and care for natural hair will do a Rollerset as what it actually is---A HAIR STYLE.
I was upset too....
I was disappointed because I thought the style was the roller set. On the bright side I've learned an alternative to blow drying whenever I flat iron. Both the roller set and flat iron styles looked nice and silky.
No...
It looked good with the curls
N o girl. I was like "what was the point of the rollers if you're still going to flat iron?" Someone please educate me
Straight is cute, but the curls were amazing!! Beautiful hair!

I remember always asking my mom if I could just keep the curls from the roller set because I looked like Oprah 😭 I was like 7/8 years old lmao
😂😂😂
LOLLLLLL
Hey, oprah has nice hair!
I agree with you! I like the curls from the roller set better.
I love that look too
A roller set prior to flat ironing is alot healthier chioice than the blow dryer. The blow dryer is more of direct heat on the hair where as a hooded dryer is not so much direct. The roller set is to stretch the hair. This method delivers less heat damage and more body and shine. But it most certainly will cost more.
I pay less to sit under the dryer.
Tiana Muex I'm glad you explained that. I was wondering what was the purpose of both☺
Tiana Muex thanks for the explanation
Just wow!
Tiana Muex okay I get it thanks✋🏾
I used to get the roller set then they would wrap it after. You talking about "body" for days....
Omg, thank you, why after the heat from the drier, you have to apply more heat with that flat iron, you women dont know after all that heat, by the time you get older your hair is so thin and weak, Just do the roller set and wrap it or leave it at that, some of these beauticians, just go over board, women please don't forget the older you get, the older your hair gets and it changes as well, just trying to help out, take care of your mane,
What hair products do you recommend for wrapping
After your roller set, you can apply very little Chi hair serum, Carols Daughter creamy hair butter, or a little Moroccan hair lotion, then wrap it, pin it, scarf it, and it stays protected and healthy 😊
Yeah we called it a roller wrap. I swore by them
@@hopefuls3976 But won’t it revert the hair back?
Back when I still got relaxers this was my go to style. My stylist called it the doobie wrap. She'd put my hair in all these big rollers and put me under the dryer. After I was completely dry then she'd take me out, take out the rollers and wrap my hair around with saran wrap. A lil more dryer time then my wrap would be done and so bouncy. I loved it but now I love my natural more.
Chile the good days! These new stylist are so lazy and want to skip roller sets. Ugh!
Also you must be from up north, the doobie wrap is a staple!
I bet it was long too.
No I'm from Texas and the process was very long. I hate sitting under the dryer for any reason. Don't miss it.
Literally screamed watching her flat iron those beautiful bouncy curls 😳😬
3xctfcfghwmdysyidyxfozrysbsgdndvsgdkh
Same! But i think this method causes less damage then the blowout then straighten or multiple passes with the iron methods. Less heat exposure and damage.
And all of that HEAT was NOT needed; ruining her #HairHealth!
Not screaming, it was beautiful b4 the extra heat was applied but it would turn nappy b4 she hit the door and she got what she asked for and it will last longer this way.
I know😌what's the use of the roller set??
Why do people still question the roller set step. It reduces the amount of heat being used dang! Y'all talking about it unnecessary thats why y'all got heat damage and claim black hair dont grow
Amoni Paul exactly! They're acting dense, like thousands of people havent explained this 😂 I'm glad some people have sense.
Preach
😂😂😂 roller set is the original to make the hair bouncy!!!
Easy girl. I was asking the question too because it seems unnecessary because her client goes under the dryer with these roller set. I wanted to know the difference. She could have blow dried the hair too on a low heat stand.
Exactly. Why is it so hard to understand that step
People talking about her pressing out the curls, but this is the most gentle way of getting your hair straightened. The body the shine😍
In case y'all didn't know...class was in session. This was a whole lesson for me 📓✏
Her technique while completing the roller wrap was so awesome only those who can appreciate a stylist that uses what she's learned to ensure the hair is taken care of properly would understand. Not many professional stylists have the basics down like that. Hats off to you, sis. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
ههههههههه حرام كل شي مافهمت تروح هيللله
This was the method I used in beauty school when doing this type of hair. I loved doing roller sets! So much better on the hair verses blow drying.
This method is way healthier. Over time the blowout method Will!!!! Damage your hair. I do this at home I’m 53 years old with a gorgeous head full of all my own hair.
You go Girl! Love seeing my sista's growing and wearing their own hair! I'm 65 love my natural!😉😉😉
Goals😘
I thought the purpose of rollersetting was to avoid blowdrying and flat ironing...I would rather dry wrap it afterwards and sit under cool air for a few mins.
Nothing Wrong With Women Wanting To Wear Weave , Boe .
I blowout my once a month
Black hair is so versatile. I love it. I wouldn't have it any other way.
You and me both! I'm rocking wet-n-curly this week. Next week who knows. 😁
All hair is versatile...it is being willing to manipulate and use the correct instruments to create the art. Hair is a fiber and has nothing to do with color.
@Maya I know darlin, I am a hairdresser.
DittoMike1 “ALl hAiR iZ VeRsA- Bitch! Stfu and accept that thick curly black hair is the way to go. Don’t nobody got time for an Einstein ass explanation!
DittoMike1 I’m also a hair stylist and I can vouch you have no idea what you’re talking about.
Almost cried when I saw her whip out the flat iron.
Heat Heat Heat Heat Heat
Wasted time . Fucking up hair . FLAT IRON WORST THAN A RELAXER . YOU JUST STRAITEN HER HAIR . WHY NOT JUST RELAX IT
@@karenpugh8506 you sound dumb
@@karenpugh8506 Relaxing your hair is far more damaging than just straightening with a flat iron. And also relaxing your hair does not make you wake up with wash-and-go hair either. You probably will have to heat style as well which is just double the damage.
@@karenpugh8506 Heat damage can be transitioned out/curl up easily but relaxed people have to use specific products , protien treatments and cut a good majority off (unless Japanese straightening) in order to maintain "healthy" hair . What are you on about ?
I’m currently under the dryer rn lol. I’m so grateful for my mom, she’s in her 50’s and she’s Dominican and has been doing my rollers since a kid 🥺🙏🏾♥️ty Mami for evrythjng u do, thank u God for her and evrythjng 🥺🙏🏾♥️💯
Ain't no way ima sit under a dryer for an hour and a half to get my curls combed out, only to recurl it with a hot iron.
Ima pray for patience one day. Whew!
LMAOAOAOAO
My hair could be better but I'm. It taking my weekend or an evening to sit in a salon for 3 - 4 hrs...my hair could be 🔥🔥🔥 if I did...but I do it at home..
It frizzes up this way… that’s why she straightens it. Longevity
Lmaooo nah I thought I was the only one I'm sitting here hot
Yeah I’m so confused right now
Awe, no one seems to just want the roller set look 😞Anyhow, I like how shiny her hair is. Her hair looks so healthy after the finished results.
@Jazzerlat45 I know I love the curls. After a few wraps they fall just right!! I don’t like this bone straight flat hair everyone wants now.
Jazzerlat45 I love the roller set look more natural looking and simple
that will break your hair and cause thinning in black women's hair because it's too much heat
I do, that's how I love my hair!
I love using rollers and my hair is short. Plus the curls last over a week.
Her natural curls are so beautiful and that’s without any products!!! Gone head sis I see you.. #team natural
Client has a head full of beautiful hair. Love the shine of her hair finished. While everyone has their opinions on what should or shouldn’t be done after the roller set, as long as the client is happy and feeling confident then that’s what matters. Beautiful young woman!
I can't with this music. Sounds like 80s porn 😂
Miss Soto 😂😂😂I said the samething
Miss Soto lmfaooooo
😂😂😂😂
Bahaha! I was actually liking the beat until I read your comment. Then I was getting visuals. Hmmmmm..... naw! Haha. Too funny🤣
😂😂😂
She actually saved her hair all that blowdrying n yall still complain? Omg! Great job girl i want to use this technique on my hair hers is about my length!
Desireé Slayton nobody is complaining they are asking what was the point
That’s a form of complaint
OBVIOUSLY, I FELT THEY COMPLAINED! Tf?!
I was wondering also why even bother with the roller set just to straighten it out-I genuinely didn't know that it was easier on the hair. I'm newly transitioning and trying to learn ao some of it maybe people that had no clue like me. I think it looks gorgeous!
@@leahmoten3231 yeah alot of folks are complaining. Part of is they don't know how to take care of hair the healthy way
Oh I would've left the curls and been flipping my hair left to right while I talked to people the rest of the day🤷🏾♀️lol
Lol I know righttttttt 😂
Yup me too!!!
Me TOO and be done.
Exactly sis!!
I thought it was just me. It was so pretty after she took the rollers out.
😊 everything old is new again. This is just how we did our hair in the sixties. ❤
Gostei mais do cacheado, quando tira os bobis
Wow, her natural hair was absolutely beautiful. I loved all 3, natural, curls, and straight.
You can feel the difference between roller set vs blow drying and your hair stays looking great for longer after using roller set.
Carla Lee Yep. You're certainly right.
Very true
I thought it was BEAUTIFUL and bouncey after THE rollers were taken OUT. I would have been ready to leave but I guess she wanted more. Roller sets last longer.
Yup, and it won't damage your hair unlike the flat iron.
William cotera huama
She has some GOOD,HEALTHY, AND BEAUTIFUL HAIR
I love getting roller sets on my natural hair and wearing curly that way💕
I love how gentle she is with our natural hair.
I love how you say “our.” 🥰😘
I liked it waaaay better with the natural roller set. This woman has a beautiful head of hair regardless. I just got confused 🥺
Dinah Nicole she got the roller set to stretch her hair without too much direct heat. Simple. I know you guys see the comments explaining this 😂 because there are a lot of them
@@Thatonegirl989 RIGHT! They needa to just say they like the roller set hair better and stop playing dumb 😂
Her hair absolutely positively beautiful!
Y’all realize this is wtf the client asked for right 🙄
How do you know ?
@@sandrachristmas4060 Because she's in the fucking chair, a paying customer & the hairstylist didn't introduce her as anything other than a customer cause it's not a demonstration. 🤦🏻♀️
Diamond Bae being in the chair doesn’t mean anything but ok . Have a nice one
Agree completely
@@sandrachristmas4060 obviously we all know Bc y would a client come in and not have a specific hairstyle to choose from that makes no sense unless it’s someone she’s close related to.. make it make sense
Wow she ( hair stylist) is killing it. She really understands the fundamentals of working with natural hair.
I don’t understand all the complaining in the comments the client obviously wanted bone straight hair yes it looked good after the roller set but im sure that wasnt the style the client wanted, i think eden did a great job (as always)
THANK YOU like its her hair chillout dog
qweenbre1
Then the title is misleading! What about that don’t you get?
Cut the video off at roller-setting natural hair.
qweenbre1 I know right. This woman has been making videos in this format for a while and these people still active like they don't understand. Or that she should change. Like damn you're still getting what you want why are you complaining... They just have a problem with heat lol
Are you the comment police? People are entitled to give their opinion whether you agree with it or not.
Her hair look better straight, than the curls too me.
I love that detangler brush you use, it literally glides through all hair textures. Love your work every time!
Thank u ❤️
Hair styles By Eden where can this brush be purchased. Will you put brush on your website or put in profile. Pretty please!!
@@hairstylesbyeden1 Hello Eden, how are you, beautiful work, you askways do. I do rollers in my daughter's hair to avoid the heat. l live in New York and have not been able to find the pins you are using to secure the rollers. l have developed artritis in my hands and the regular clips are hard to managed. Can you please tell me the brand and where to find those. Blessings to you, S from NYC.
crave natural brush on amazon... awesome
Hola
The Roller Set Was Beautiful Alone!😊
Yes, l was traumatized when she straightened it.
The curls were pretty but she really needed that trim so I’m glad she silked it out. Next time she may wear the curls bc they’ll look even better with trimmed ends. Great job 👏🏾
Your roller sets are perfect and your flat ironing results is fantastic.
95% of the people in comments are NOT hair stylists 😂🤦🏾♀️
Lol correct
JaKayla Pritchett THANK YOU. Like they think they know how to do hair professionally.
Facts!
Do we have to be in order to give an opinion? So far, i have not read any just all the way mean and nasty comments about it, just a lot of confusion about why she went through all that just to flat iron out (and note, the iron was hot) the roller set.
But 100% of us have dealt with our own hair at some point in time. So us discussing the process for clarification shouldn't be a problem. No one seems to be bring condescending or rude.....well😒
I love the guitars. Her hair looks beautiful off the rollers. Don’t care for the bone straight look.
My cousins used to do the “doobie” first then set their hair in rollers. That hair style lasted a whole week. This was every Saturday morning routine. There were not flat irons back then so the “doobie” was the preferred choice.
Your cousins , doobie with hair dry ?
Her hair was so beautiful in its natural state, and then so beautiful after it was curled and also after it got flat ironed
I think I’m the only person here mesmerized by the actual process. I’ve never seen rollers done like that before!
No, they used to use rollers like that in the 90’s.
The music in this video is jamming. It makes watching Eden work relaxing..
Can’t ever work out how straight and neat the hair is in the rollers . Mines always a mess
What I can't understand is why even bother getting a roller set if she's going to get it flat ironed anyway? She might as well should've gotten it blow dried and flat ironed.
A roller set is a way to reduce the heat and heat damage that you would get from a blow out and then straightened
I was thinking the same thing!!
its a better way to stretch the hair befoe flat ironing it.
instead of a blow dryer
@@TalentIDTALKS why not use a heat protector spray bc isnt a roller set an extra charge lol
@@ludreamafortune5002 I mean idk about extra charge but I do know that some people's hair are sensitive to heat and heat protectors don't always work
Oh....I thought the stylist was done after taking rollers out and finger combing. I thought the style was really nice. The hair is nice flat ironed too.
Beautiful job her hair came out gorgeous! 🥰thank you for taking time to share.
That's wonderful. I love it!
This reminds me of back home Ethiopia 🇪🇹❤️ this is how we get our hairs done...and so sure the hairdresser is Ethiopian (the distinct cross amd black thread on her neck) ❤️

Liking these videos so far Madam Eden! I have natural hair that’s pretty long and love to see someone that can work it. I also love roller sets but let mines stay in! Love the soft luscious curls it brings.

@@wilsonrinco9464😅
I see everyone in the comments saying the SAME thing. A roller set was to help stretch and straighten the curly texture without direct heat from a blow dryer plus flat irons which can cause heat damage. The client also needed a TRIM you can't trim the ends after a roller set you need to straighten it to make the hair even. It is common sense and you don't need to be a stylist to know that.
Keeping the bair wet is KEY! The dried hair mimics the the hair when its wet. So when it dries, it keeps that shape .
Ficou lindo quando tirou o rolo.A chapinha deixou ele bem comum
I loved everything she did keep up the good work girl... hair looks healthy and fab!!
The roller set looked just fine!!
I love it. Very good
Her hair is so beautiful, love it!!

Yesssss sis you did that and that looks amazing omg 😍😍😍😍
LOVED the natural hair, and the roller set! Not really crazy about the press out.
I have a relaxer but I used to sit under my dryer all the time, my hair looked way healthier doing it this way
Love the roller set!!!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! GOOD JOB.
Tem mãos de fada!!!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Just stop after the roller set. Why all that heat?????
Olayinka Sangoyomi I don't understand why she did that either because when I was growing up when you roll the hair wet like that it was called a wet set and they use a rolling solution SC troop under the dryer and your hair come out so bouncy and beautiful and curls up gorgeous and it was called a wet set and back then no one had broken out hair there were use VO5 hot oil treatments Creme of Nature shampoo and conditioner it wasn't all these different colors the only color that people will wearing when I was growing up blonde hair
Bc that's what the client wanted.
& roller setting is less heat than direct blow dryer. It also helps retain moisture.
YESSSS THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING. TOO MUCH HEAT. THE HAIR WILL START THINNING.😳
The trim?
😍😍😍😍 my hair could literally never. Flat ironed or roller style.
So classic and gorgeous!
When I was younger my step mother would use those rollers down the center and straighten the remaining hair, we called it a doobie wrap. My hair had so much body
Parabéns pra essa cabelereira 👏👏...fico pensando ela no final do dia ...sem braço😄
Wow😍!!! Gorgeous and shine hair!!!
Did it just...I have to try this rock the roller set no heat.
I would've left after she took the rollers out - leaving her a big tip of course. Those curls were too beautiful to blaze away.
As always, phenomenal results! I noticed the brand of setting lotion isn't mentioned in the description box. What brand did you use? Thanks!
I love the stages that you are using , if the procedure is done by this way the hair will be always healthy
