    Scam School TV seems like a great idea if you can fill 22 minutes for a long time (I know you have a huge catalog, haha). I did find it weird that you went from simple match trick to advanced lock picking straight away.

      Pacing was the hardest thing to nail down on these. We needed something with an immediate "aha" moment, and then something with a valuable sciencey "take-away." Since we only had existing stuff to work from, it does jump around a bit in tone.

    It's not just the fat content in coffee creamer that makes it combustible like that. Any material that will burn becomes a combustible dust when it's 420 microns or smaller.

    Even though the 10' o'clock 2 o'clock glass balancing segment wasn't originally asked here, it is all about the 'center of gravity' of the combined objects. If you imagine this 2-dimensionally (like a ven diagram written on paper)... as long as the center-of-gravity of the three glasses can all be contained in that center 'curved triangle' where they all intersect, they will maintain balance. But, the moment before- and after- the center of gravity is outside of that "sweet spot" in the center, they can not balance.
    This is why high-wire acrobats will also harry a long pole or staff with tm onto the wire as it i *harder* to shift the center of gravity *outside* of where the feet contact the wire/rope with their full mass projected to be a much wider area. With an efetive width of a few dozen feet wide.. the center of gravity stays centered mostly long the wire. If they want to go forward, they hold the bar ahead of themself and follow the center of gravity forward. There probably isn't any going *in reverse* (with the pole out in front) because that would upset their center of gravity causing them to fall backwards. They might briefly hop the pole so taht it is behind them.. and then turn 180 degrees (body only) before walking forward back the other way.

    Why do people have such trouble with the married person problem? It takes seconds!

    • @Massey2332
      @Massey2332 5 лет назад

      Because more people mean more illogical approaches to something you, as Brian said, can only examine 2 ways. Both of which the answer is yes.
      It's similar to if you catch someone off guard (who haven't heard this before) "If y.e.s. spells "yes," e.y.e.s. spells...." and they say e-yes instead of eyes.

    Do you really want to be responsible for the spike in crime that will follow after teaching tens of thousands of people how to pick locks in a single day?

    • @Zoltri
      @Zoltri 5 лет назад

      I mean.. unless there's a second lock picking part I missed all he really showed people was "Hey, if you have the master key you can open this uncommon style of lock." Which is kind of a known fact anyways. There's already tutorials that explain how to pick common house locks all over the internet, anyone who wants to learn how to do it can easily figure it out in 10 minutes.

    • @BryceCastillo
      @BryceCastillo 5 лет назад +1

      This information is really easily available. Someone watching that segment is more likely to go “oh, I should get a better type of lock” than say “I’m going to go grind down keys and steal from sheds.”

    • @sinofsociety
      @sinofsociety 5 лет назад

      Bryce nailed it. By making security vulnerabilities public knowledge you give the public the knowledge they need to better protect themselves.
      Even then, a criminal is more likely to just cut or break the lock off than take the time to pick it as every second counts in a break in. Lock picking is more of a skill for the lock owner as it keeps the lock intact.
