Unique Riverland Farm (and How to Make It) - Stardew Valley Farm Tour

- Hello guys,
It's been a while since my last Stardew Valley project.
This time, I decided to choose Riverland Farm type, it's not the most efficient type of farm but it is unique. I like it.
In this farm type, I did some experiments, so I wanna share it with you guys.
I'm not using any mods, only a little trick :D (PC platform - Windows OS).

How to find your save files :
1. Press Windows + R to show a 'run' dialogue box (since I'm using Windows OS, for other OS you can check the source link).
2. Paste this exact text: %appdata%\StardewValley\Saves
3. Each save has a folder like [NAME]_123456789, with two main files inside it: [NAME]_123456789 and SaveGameInfo.
4. Both files are needed to load the save.

note : Before you change your farm type or edit your save file, I suggest you to create a back up first.
You can also find how to duplicate a save from that link.
How to change your farm type :
1. Open your save file with format name [Name]_123456789, I use notepad to open it.
2. Press Ctrl + F, then type "whichFarm"
3. Then you will find this code : ＜whichFarm＞[NUMBER]＜/whichFarm＞
4. Change the [NUMBER] into whatever farm type that you like :
0 - Standard Farm
1 - Riverland Farm
2 - Forest Farm
3 - Hill-top Farm
4 - Wilderness Farm
5 - Four Corners Farm
5. Then save it and load the file from the game

The part i love the most i how you didnt use things properly like the green house and instead just made it look good and that is just so neat
This is great! I like that instead of kids you have slimes lmao. I also really liked how the farm isn't geared for pure money making since we all know that at a certain point in stardew money becomes literally so excessive there aren't enough things to even spend it on.

@@StoatmanTV I'm on year 4 in the game and I get 10 000 every day. I just fill up the greenhouse and have animals, artisan machines and fish. I could easily get more money with more machines. I have 1 million now.
@@StoatmanTV In the beginning I had to plant things all the time, do foraging, shaking bushes with berries, fishing and doing requests. Leveling up gets u more value from items too.

The fact that they have such creativity and even built a BRIDGE when the developer should’ve just added bridge like that to the game itself!! This is amazing!

Corvivid Art yep! river land has about 100 more tillable tiles, although there seems to be more forest space because you can use the grass, but not the river
I really appreciate the last couple minutes of showing how you managed all those little extras. Mainly because I wouldn't have realized that something like that was normally impossible otherwise. You really went the extra mile. I've seen just a half dozen or so thus far, which isn't many, but this one is the best. The presintation of the start, and the fact that you went astetics for things like the greenhouse and basement was above and beyond what the other layouts did, then all the trucks you used to fit things normally not possible as well. Wonderful work!

Beautiful farm! I’m really impressed with how organic it looks! Definitely the style that I’m going for! Quick question: How did you place the trees & grass on the river; and the fences on the bridge? I’m pretty sure that the bridge isn’t that wide
Edit: I thought the video only consisted of the farm tour. Just realised that there is 2 more minutes of extra content! Haha
i believe they use a save editor. check the desc.!

I love that people are willing to cover the river farm and find a way to make it work and even enjoy it. So many people seem to just avoid it entirely so there aren't as many resources online to find for it compared to the standard or woodland farm.
The auto harvester such a help. My chickens were laying their eggs against the bottom wall and the mayo machines where I couldn't see them and had to basically find them by walking until my path was blocked.

I'm actually the happiest person ever rn. I play stardew on the switch, and have been told i can edit my farm type still with the sd card!!!!!

Impressive and imaginative. I only picked up the game about a month ago and, other than fishing, have thoroughly enjoyed it (as 170+ hours can attest)! I may eventually add mods but it's unlikely I'll go to such lengths as you have to customize and beautify your farm.

Apparently you can use this glicth by editing your save on your sim card.
I read an article yesterday that said console players will be getting the 1.5 upgrade soon. The creator has given the update to Nintendo, Xbox, and Playstation for approval. So hopefully we can do all this without editing our save files. Bc i have no clue how to even do that lol

This is incredible. I play on my switch. Well, i am trying. I play Friends of Mineral Town but i never can get the hang on Stardew. And i didn't know until recently you can create all of this. Its cool!

I really liked the whole thing my only note is in the cellar I would have put more casks yes you did make it look really nice and amazing but you can only put casks in the basement so maybe replace a few things with them but besides that the farm was amazing

Damn i also put my barn and coop on the lower left side of my farm. I also plan to put a shed on the exact place like what you did on the rightmost island. Last is i also plan to put the four teleportation pillars (i forgot the name) on the island in front of greenhouse.

Might be just me but as of SV 1.5.6, this method no longer works. :(
You can still sort of do the "sides" (though they look rather strange to me), but the bridges (the wooden planks) themselves will always be on top of the paths, ruining the look entirely.

its too bad i can't try your save/loading technique (since I'm on the mobile version) I wish they would make a new update so that we can add extra land/change the bridges :'( But anyway i absolutely LOVE your riverland farm. ^^
