- This is just a relaxing cruise around the neighborhood with the OX-7. The OX-35 is still down for repairs. I replaced the FC and ESC and motors. I went with the 2205 2300KV like I originally intended. I also used a full size F405 V4 with 60-amp ESCs this time around. Still have a couple strange problems though. The footage from the 03 Air Unit is not as stable as before, and Gyro Flow makes it even worse! Also, I am getting low RC link warnings in the form of RSSI errors... not sure what is going on. The OX-35 seems a bit cursed. I'm glad the OX-7 performs so well. I can still have fun flying while I exorcise the demons from the OX-35. I plan to install a new receiver, but still need to figure out the video stabilization issue. Please enjoy David Gilmour performing "In Any Tongue". HAPPY FLYING AMIGOS! CHEERS - Sonic Ox.
This is one of your best so far ! Love those shallow dives and that trench run was great ! Happy Flying amigo !
Thanks for watching, TS. I appreciate the kind words. The OX-7 is a joy to fly. The AOS 7" frame is very solid and stable. It really feels "locked in." I'm about at my wits' end with the OX-35 re-build. Every time I solve one issue, another arises. It's frustrating enough that I've been looking at 3.5" frames from AOS and trying to create a smaller version of OX-7. Have a great weekend, amigo. 🤠👍
The dive at 3:25 vas sick 👊😎and the fence run 👌 fantastic video my friend 🫶 music is spot on 😊 have a great week my friend
@@MoonRabbitFPV Thanks for watching and commenting, 🌙 🐇 . I really appreciate your kind words. I hope you have a great week!
Its good to see how far you've come amigo. I wish the UK idiots and Government had not killed my fun with the hobby. Unfortunately it only takes a few to do stupid things with drones and we here are all made to suffer.
I love the expanse of land you have as your neighborhood and how flat it is. Have you tried any radio listening there? Today I sat at the top of the hill near my house with the UBC125 and listened to A chap in Toronto Canada talking with another fella in the Dominican Republic 29.600 MHz. I am looking into getting the first in three of the HAM licenses so I can talk not just listen.
Anyways happy flying and have a great weekend.
Thanks for watching and commenting, Elecifun. It's great to hear from old friends. Yes, the government here is trying to beat the joy out of flying, too. I comply grudgingly, but it's increasingly difficult to enjoy the hobby. Yes, I do a little bit of HAM radio stuff. I teach firearms proficiency to a neighborhood preparedness group of which I'm a member. We use handheld radios for communication. I don't have a HAM operator license yet, so I only transmit on frequencies that I'm allowed. I don't have that great of range yet because I haven't invested in a base station/antenna. I'm sure it's a part of the electronics hobby that I'll eventually pursue, but it's not a passion yet. It's great to hear from you, amigo. Have a fun weekend. 🫡 🍻
@@Sonic_Ox For me I guess the hobby is always evolving and dependent on what I can do at the time. Measuring the pre amps / amps is on the back burner as I need better equipment, my results are getting in places predictable and I think it is because of equipment restraints.
The neighborhood preparedness group sounds interesting, what's that about, what are you being prepared for?
I hear ya. I cycle through my hobbies. I intensely focus on one while never abandoning the others. The focus can last for days or years, 😆. The preparedness group is fun and interesting. Our members are retired law enforcement, firefighters, medical personnel, electrical/energy professionals, mechanics, communications, food storage etc etc etc. We teach each other our particular skill sets and organize to respond to emergencies. Our goal is preparedness to survive natural and man made disasters where the grid goes down or government services like police, fire, medical, utility, etc, are unavailable. It's sort of a supercharged neighborhood watch, 😆. We look after each other. It's good to know your neighbors and make friends you can depend on. We could use a man like you. Please give me a ring when you move into the area 😉.
@@Sonic_Ox I guess you have radio operators in the preparedness group.. If the power goes out or internet phone networks are down then the radio HAMs come into play relaying messages to emergency controllers etc. Listening is fun I got this UBC125 scanner and now I am building antennas so I can hear more. Your lucky, earned your house and antennas are cheap and easy to build. The antenna is the key for RX TX.
Cheers you make me feel useful, lol. Unfortunately I am stuck here for now.
Yes, we do have experienced HAM operators in the group. But we could certainly use another teammate with your skill set. Plus, I just think you'd be a great friend to have in the neighborhood. We share many similar interests. Happy HAMming, amigo. 🫡 🍻
