Succulent information Care tips for succulents
1)SOIL- well draining ,porous,loose soil…non organic,a soil media that doesn’t retain moisture.
2)POT - smaller the pot better ideally 3-4 inches pot depth is good enough for a medium size succulent.
3)WATERING - only when the soil is bone dry however green coloured succulents like haworthia ,aloe mainTain slight Moisture but not soggy wet soil.
4)LIGHT - brightly coloured succulents provide direct morning sunlight for 5-6 hours post acclimation .Green coloured succulents like haworthia, strings of pearls or any string varieties indirect bright light.
5)Fertiliser - is not the top priority if you don’t use fertilisers it’s fine…but if you do go for liquid based fertiliser 1/2 the strength what’s mentioned on the bottle dilute in water ….and only feed the succulents that are in their growing period …never feed dormant succulents…never add too much fertiliser it will make the succulent weaker …during the growing period once a month or once in two month should be good ….wishing you all the luck

@LushGardner Hi i live in Kolkata and i am a beginner in gardening, the climate over here is very humid and hot, plz give me suggestions for some succulent which will survive in this type of climate. I tried to grow some succulent but almost all of it died.
yes sir Kolkata is not going to be an ideal environment for majority succulents…apart from heat the main reason is very high humidity…the only succulents that will do best in your city are Haworthia, aloes and aloewrothias..but echeveria will be very difficult to grow..even if you make the best soil as possible but the environment is major issue 😔
Hi ..beautiful succulents u have ..i have one question related to the same topic ..actually my succulents are set up in a small gallery where they get direct morning sunlight till 11am is it good ? If yes then why do they get wrinkled soon and some dry out and if i water them then they start shedding their leaves😢 ..can u share ur watering schedule ..they are in well drain soil
Try put them under slight shade for a while until they get used to direct morning sunlight.. sometime they get really used to lamp light so the temperature not the same. I guess.😅
hi.... i recently shifted to a north facing house.. n i m keeping my sacculents in east n west facing.. but they are dying .. all my sacculents were doing good, but dont knw what happen.. they are not happy in any direction... plz guide me
east facing is best ....how its been since you shifted ...there could be a possibility of shock while shifting them or they are trying to adjust in new place ...at time they dont handle change of place positively unlike other plants ..also dont keep moving them from one place to another ....did you over water them or did you add anything extra in soil like fertiliser or something ?
@@LushGardener no... No over watering , no reporting , no adding fertilizer..nothing ... Only one major change which is shifting .. n I m a bit doubt for the water.. yet I have started mineral water .. but I m very tensed by seeing them dying .. I wish I could share my before after sacculent pics...
oh ok most probably the transportation shock …I would like to see the image …share it’s in my Instagram instagram.com/_lushgardener_/
