At high RPM cause we learnt nothing from it as I see individuals attempting to restart the civil war. I know all too well how civil war 2 will be fought and will look like. I quit carrying a gun a year or so ago cause of rage issues. I only hope that I’m never forced to pick it up again
My favorite scene from this absolutely incredible movie. Sums up perfectly what the Union was fighting for and why they were the good guys in this war. States rights, self-determination, and economic sovereignty are essential, but none of these top the importance of eliminating the evil of slavery.
God and Country are two important traditions to many men if not all! He then remembers his boyhood home, reciting the “What a piece of work is man!” speech from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, which includes the line, “[I]n action, how like an angel!” He recalls how his father replied, “Well, boy, if he’s an angel, he’s sure a murderin’ angel.” The young Chamberlain then gave a class speech entitled “Man, the Killer Angel.” Know your History! That Scene was Brilliant. And Coincidentally Thirty Year's Ago, when Buster & Chamberlain finished Speaking. I then had also wept Bucket's of Tear's, because of it's pulling at My Heart's String's then as well. Thank You for Sharing.

A very well scripted scene; although I'm sure these sentiments were proven in not so many words. The greatness of Col. Chamberlain and Sgt. Kilrain is extolled by the sword. God Bless the souls lost in these major moments in history. People these days are a bunch of narcissists that don't have a real belief in anything
Meanwhile you have Nazis gathering in the open in Florida. The right likes to whine about cancel culture yet they are banning books that teach about the Holocaust.

RIP Kevin Conway. You will be sorely missed. 😥
One of the best scenes from the movie
Robert Hazen - I think so as well.
Damn right. My favorite scene.

If Chamberlain could see the evening news today...He is not rolling over in his grave. He is spinning.

Best scene in a great movie
This fits even in 2022
And I damn all gentleman. Spoken as an Irishman who lived through Anglo Ireland.
I’ve only just seen this movie. But this is by far my favorite scene.
Sgt.Major was a wise man. He spoke the truth. The only equality is the opportunity.

Was great before the hard-coded Spanish subtitles
Where did you find a version of this with Spanish subtitles?

In that link
Well,...it takes an Irishman to say it so eloquently, so it does...
Saints and Scholars
The divine spark
Brave men
All this to say kilrain is a Hobbesian and Chamberlain is a Lockean.
That is the perfect reason now to save our country and not let it fall to the specter of Communism. I love this scene because it's timeless.
Bullshit! Communism has nothing to do with. We’re in a Reichstag Moment, you little twit. Christian Fascism is the enemy not Communism or ANTIFA.

You misspelled the word Fascism. THAT is what this country is falling toward.

The subtitles are distracting and unnecessary
