    That stutter that occurs when you reach an incline could be software related. The system could be trying to adjust that backwards roll to match both the g-forces AND the incline movements at the same time.

      It's been address and it's a known issue now, it's cogging, DOF is testing a new Gearbox at the flightsim tradeshow this week attempting to showcase an elimination of the cogging issue.

    Good summary. Try to shift the weight a bit to the front so motors are always loaded a bit without a dead zone

      Ok. I did a little experimentation last night. Small weight increases up front really did not change anything. Just to see what would happen I hung a 10 lbs weight off the front pedal tray and that did smooth out the pitch up movement. Although, in all fairness, the slight stepping motion seemed to move to pitch down. I will keep playing with it to find that balance.

      @@ebradley82 I usually run at least three bass shakers as well (Dayton's) but they don't affect your senses like motion. The reality is that most people will be slower with motion because of the added feedback you are dealing with. It puts strains on your body and equilibrium that add another variable for your brain to process. I would compare it to using a h-pattern shifter. I am definitely faster on my sequential, but I want the added level of emersion.

    • @ebradley82

      @@Redmist370Z I can see that. I also love rowing gears if its appropriate to the car. And having fun with added immersion is the goal. A lot of 7k+ irating aliens are doing it from a desk mounted g27 in a college dorm. So my end goal isn't shaving time but having a good time.

    So let me summarize this for you as I have done the research in depth and got the info from DOF themself. The bottom line is that the p3 has a 12 % stronger engine , thats it thats all, no difference in motion & response time. I have run my H3 sins 2020, I have over 20k racing km on it and the engine didn't overheat once. I had days I had friends over and did 20 Iracing races in a roll , no issues, as long ;1. You assemble it correctly 2. you calibrate it every year 3. You turn it OFF when you not using it

    I wonder if there's a way to differentiate between H3 and P3, assuming both are with new SFU. Like motor serial#s or model#s

    • @Redmist370Z
      @Redmist370Z  Год назад +1

      The P3 definitely use different (more powerful) motors. I suspect, with 0% actual knowledge, that the H3 motors with SFU are closer to the P3 without. I can say the H3 with SFU and some secret (but easily available) demon tweaking to the software I can almost make my rig topple over if I so desired.

  • @Moore_Power

    I'm actually just now purchasing a H3, and I'm little concerned about this "delay" you're talking about. Is this something that can be adjusted via software, or is this just tolerance on the motors and cams? When racing, in general, reaction time is everything, right? When I race now, I'm dependent on the change or shift on my monitor. I was really hoping this would be worth more than just immersion...

    • @Redmist370Z
      @Redmist370Z  2 года назад

      I was not experiencing a "delay". It was more of a stutter in the motors (or gearbox) limited to the transistion onto the banking of super speedways (that is the only time I get the stutter).

    owned 3 Sim Rigs two of them 3 dof. DOF Reality is great rig for the price, any of them! This not a cheap hobby or profession. SFU gearbox a must IMO to remove gear lash. Most Sim Rigs with motion are considered carnival rides which add fun/immersion. You learn/familiarize yourself with the track just little applicable race car handling feedback to a real race car for driver
    Check SimCraft for an excellent rig but $$$, though sim rig most closly parrallels an actual RACE Car when on an iRacing track which has most accurate track & race car telemetry. Your rig is as strong as its weakest link including the driver. Spend $$ accordingly
