This arrived at my door today. WOW! its looks so much better in hand then any photos or review videos, I'm blown away. It is strange, it looks so alive from a distance your brain makes you expect it to start moving any second. Absolute genius to use decals for the eyes, but here also lies the figure's only weakness - when looking straight on its face it does not look straight back at you, like for example Rebor's t-rex. It does not look corss eyed or silly, just one minor detail on an otherwise perfect figure. I honestly dont see anyone topping this t-rex unless you start go into much larger statue territory with custom paintjobs. I cant stop looking at it, the paintjob is better then on the prototype!
The nanmu O.A.F.K. Rex I just got for my b-day was ordered online but the photos were false advertisement. It doesn’t matter though it still looks really cool in my room
After Watching your videos for the Nanmu Bull Rex & the Triceratops, I finally pulled the trigger and picked up both! And damn I had underestimated both of these! They are both gorgeous, and the Bull Rex feels like it’s ripped straight out of the film, it’s just gorgeous!
All 3 of mine have been shipped. I can’t wait for them. Especially the black one because its color scheme reminds me of an old kenner lost world juvenile rex
After looking at all past & current versions, I can definitely say that the definitive Buck Rex is this version while the definitive version of Doe is the older release. Which both versions goes so well together as the perfect Nanmu TLW Rex couple.
You know, i always remember how cool male Tyrannosaurus Rex from The Lost World Jurassic Park is 😄. Thats a real male Tyrannosaurus Rex should be. Compare other company, their just reused female Tyrannosaurus Rex sculpt and repaint that model with green colour make that model look like meal Tyrannosaurus Rex, how lazy and boring 😒. But until Nanmu did it create the real male Tyrannosaurus Rex what I want 😄. Unfortunately, i not rich man, so i never get the mighty male Tyrannosaurus Rex, how sad am i 😞. Nevertheless, watch by other person is okay for me 😃. At least i still can see how mighty and beautiful Nanmu male Tyrannosaurus Rex is 😄. Wow you blew my mind when you said the obsidian T rex was like the wwd t rex, i had to look it up and your right its definitely paying homage to it i cant believe i never realized it!! I was a fan of that paint scheme but didnt get it but now knowing that i cant pass up on it
Nice to see the green one, that's the one I'm waiting on! (And with how good it looks, that wait is going to be harder!) ...Buuuut...it's a bit sad to see that the jaw appears loose, so it has trouble *staying* closed. The same thing happens with my Nanmu Giganotosaurus and I-Rex, and it is quite annoying! :(

23:10 ok, I’m officially conflicted… I’ve been really tempted to get the Nanmu Allosaurus for a while, because I’ve wanted a really good Allosaurus model in my collection for a hot minute now, but now I’ve seen this and I’m like… I don’t want to play with you anymore
This is going to be my entry to the nanmu line and I am looking forward to owning a model of my favorite jurassic park style dinosaur. Hopefully they'll release an updated version of the indominus where it is standing upright so that she is around spinosaurus or giga size
Thanks for the amazing review!! currently I have a green rex from Rebor posing against a nanmu´s spino and was considering buying this to replace the Rebor´s rex....but now I see that it´s probably too big.
Mine finally arrived. My favorite model by Nanmu by far. However I wasn't so lucky with the model I received. I got one with a MESSED UP eye on the main displaying side. Never had that with any of the other 3 Nanmu models I have. Im so so annoyed & disappointed about that! The pupil bled & looks like a blob & the white painted part of the eye bled off as well. Im so fridge unlucky seeing everyone else's with perfect lookin eyes!!!
Man Andy I also have this figure it's super cool.And I want to tell you something that Rexy is bigger than buck and I really do not know way they created Buck more giant than Rexy?
Because this buck is actually 1/28 scale. Buck is actually about 40FT. Long. But rexy in Jurassic world is 44 FT. Long. It's different scale from the alpha version.
I'm honestly mixed about this because on one hand, the sculpt, detail and paint are amazing, but the size is just what really throws me off because it's definitely not in that 1/35 scale range.
Not sure about u, but I felt the head just slightly a bit too big... coz the one in the lost world still looks evenly the same in terms of skull size just a slight bulkiness coming out of the male in comparison it to the female t rex. Everything is fantastic and yes, a bit throws me off too around the slight bigger head. Or perhaps NANMU wanted to make it a BIGGER version in comparison to the female one. Your thoughts?

Do Nanmu figures tend to warp without a base? The only nanmu figure I have purchased is the Behemoth Giganotosaurus this past summer and I have so far had no issues with it standing but my Rebor Killer Queen I got in the same month no longer stands by itself. I don't want to purchase the stand for this rex for an additional $30 but if this figure will warp over time then I see no choice.
I honestly don't see any warping happening with this rex. Sometimes, like in Rebors case, it'll stand but not well, then it warps and no longer stands. This Nanmu rex doesn't stand just "well", it stands BEAUTIFULLY! Its really stable so I don't think the base is a must have. None of my Nanmu figures have warped for me so far, but I also keep them in a nice, cool basement.

This is better in my opinion. It's a higher quality and overall more impressive model. If you're talking about the 1/20th version then they're both great, and I don't think I could choose between them, lol.

Woo Hoo! NANMU continues to be the gold standard in the dinosaur figure arena. If you can only have one T-rex figure in your entire lifetime, as someone famous once said, the "T-REX BUCK" stops here!
Also, if you dont want to purchase the base & seeing its crowched over position, I bet it looks incredible when paired with the dead Triceratops figure from NANMU.
Just received mine. Not as impressive as the female version which was a masterpiece! The sculpt is not as deep and the colours feel washed out compared to the sharpness of the female. Check out my Instagram post. Let me know if you agree.
I don't remember the buck t rex having such a pronounced nose ridges and scales on its face. I don't think its accurate. I'll wait for W dragon or something. That overly protruding nose ridge bothers me.

The obsidian skin is actually based off a skin from Jurassic World Evolution, and the other brown one is based of a T-Rex in Jurassic World alive

The Rebor version of Disneys Carnotaurus looks damn near perfect. Nice to see both companies finally hitting thier strides lol.

He always did, at least the original sculpt. Also W dragon already made two male rexes, and a huge one
