I have built the much smaller 1:1000 Enterprise kit - I think it's a snap model? - but a good kit. Also includes the Botany Bay - it was just reissued so should be easy to find. 👍 Still fun to do and it looks good.

I did the original AMT kit of the Enterprise recently, still need to decal it and do the final assembly of the major subassemblies. 😊

That kit is not bad - it's been updated over the decades thankfully to fix some older problems - I built many of them going all the way back to the 1970s LOL Thanks for watching the video 👍

Very nice TOS Enterprise Bruce! I am one of the 1701 club as well. My number was 843 i believe. My can is packed away at the moment. I bought into the whole deal. I got the ship, the lighting kit and the photoetch. Most expensive model i have ever bought. You have my attention with the sci-fi models!

Thanks ! I have a few Scifi kits in my stash (but most of the few kits I have are cars). The Scifi kits coming out now are more expensive so I have to pass on most of them. But I love them ! LOL

I know what you mean. Model kits in general are getting too expensive. I would love to have the new 2001 space station and I do plan to get it after the first of the year. I got into 3D printing so I could have the Sci-Fi models that I have wanted for a long time and I can have them any size that I want. I'm not locked into whatever size the model company wants to make it.
