One thing to note about her burst: Unlike most explosions that tend to throw enemies outward, Chevruse's burst will throw them inward resulting in a mild grouping effect. It's nowhere near the level of Anemo grouping, of course, but it's something.

Chev really is a great unit imo. The convinience of how her buff is activated is something i feel people really downplay, especially in multiwave scenarios where you can buff your carries with chev off field unlike vv. However ngl i like to build her full damage even if it is slightly worse in most situations, blasting things with a gun is just too fun. I really want c4 just for that lmao
@@vinhthinhnguyen1087 navia is a bit more forgiving in party creation in my opinion. Thankfully there's a lot of great options for electro/pyro characters but at least Navia's team can run an anemo like Kazuya (not that you'd even want him). Overload also is annoying for trying to just finish enemies off since they expload and if they dont die they bounce back in the air, making the anemo cc all the more wanted. she just comes across as a meh bennett substitute. The RES shred is really nice though but so is Pyronado/Fantastic Voyage
What made chevreuse great is how she effortlessly trigger those juicy buffs, whether she's on field or off field. I think shes the best low investment character. You can ever run her c0 with 1 1 1 talents and she will still be a valuable asset to your team. The only downside is her team comp restriction
Hey now, she's a great low investment character, but Sucrose is still queen of low investment, by virtue of Thrilling Tales. You don't even have to level the weapon there; you just have to refine it

You don't get the benefit of her A4 passive but it's really fun to run Sniper Overburgeon with Raiden, Nahida, Furina, and C4 EM Chevreuse. You can apply everything from a distance and then blow enemies up with Chevreuse, it's really fun on the overworld.
I like that Chevreuse gives Pyro dps a team that isn't Vape. She also enables new teams for Electro carries, from Raiden to c6 Bennett + Razor on pyro dmg.

New player here. This was the first event banner I have been able to pull on as I was told to save all my wishes for Raiden's rerun 3 weeks ago. I pulled C0 Raiden, C3 Chev, and C5 Bennet! Pretty hype as I had just entered Inazuma so I have been able to get The Catch R2 so far and get them all leveled up quite a bit except Chev as I need to go explore Fontaine. Thanks for the guide!
Something I've noticed a lot of people overlooking with Song of Days Past is that it is REALLY hard to get the full potential on when you're using basically 90% of the 'meta' approaches; anyone that uses a continuous damage Skill or Burst while off-field. That buff gets cleared out giga quick with Furina's Skill doing damage, Fischl's Skill, etc. before you can even notice it showed up. Every time I HAVE gotten it to trigger where I want it (ex. Navia's Skill) the damage was absolutely far and above than anything Clam did for me, but it's a huge if. Ultimately I settled with not nitpicking it. Great if I time it right, but if I don't I'm still getting decent damage out of it. It does make me really, really, REALLY want them to add buff (and debuff) indicators over the HP bars or somewhere on screen instead of trying to eyeball what's circling my character; especially since most are just the universal up-arrow. That would make timing it SO much more consistent.
Songs of days past is like shenhe stacks you can only trigger it with 5 attacks but only from the active party member, so if heal then 6 sec later go into your main dps and use it wisely you can maximize it’s potential without wasting it on Furina skill, Fischl skill you mentioned
@@SSJSoujiro it works just fine, he triggers overload even during his burst from what i tested as long as hes inside bennetts burst. uptime might not be as long as beidous though

I'm trying a hybrid build right now (2pc Golden Troupe, 2pc HP Set), Deathmatch (bc ist looks hella clean on her) and her Artifact Mainstats are HP%/PyroDMG/HP%. Crit is at 65/115 and 38k HP but 0 ER. I know it sounds kinda cope but I'm hitting 50k Skills and still got almost the full buff from her passive - its kinda nice
Gotta say fair credit to dehya in these teams,her offield pyro apply+her interupt res and dmg reduction are mighty useful aswell that if used with fav and tenacity she brings alot of utlity. She can bring a decent amount of dmg depending on build doh that is mostly locked behind her c1
I can't even pull one copy of her and this is the 2nd or 3rd banner I've seen her on that I tried for...I've never pulled so many 4 star weapons in a row, I'm actually going to have Kinich before I get her.
I feel like people overstate how bad overload is for grouping. The enemies it's really bad for are small enemies that probably won't take you long to kill anyways. Vs larger enemies there's a CC aspect to frequently staggering them. Limits their movement and you can herd them with good positioning. Vs. bosses and mechs it's a non issue entirely.
Oblige on its own is also an English word, though, and that's how you pronounce it. So it's not as awkward as saying ChevROOSE instead of Chevreuse. Btw that's not a rolled R. People rarely roll their R anymore in French; it's usually associated with old people and rural settings.
Chevreuse might be the best support for Pyro and Electro team and also her C6 give Pyro and Electro damage bonus i only need 1 cons to maximize her support capabilities. Thank you for making this video:)
Chev is truly a 4* that is actually viable at c0 in a long time. More viable than Deyha’a entire kit 😭. Still can’t believe how Hoyo absolutely demolished Deyha on her release.
@@theskywalker8416 meta wise? Nope. Like Hoyo fcked her kit up so bad, but if you like her, you can still build her. She’s good for characters that requires resistance to interruption, like bow characters, I guess, if you don’t have shield characters. There are some teams she can be used in, such as melt Ganyu, and with Neuvilette. But to mention again, if you have Xiangling, build her; so much better than Deyha.
@@reece5634 im currently run Noelle, Bennett (my main dps right now), Heizou and Kujou Sara for elemental reaction and exploring. Consider changing Noelle for her but feel like i may need the Geo for breaking shield.
My DPS build for Chevy is a bit different. I'm building her as an overload focused DPS with EM/CV Crimson witch 4 piece and Staff of Scarlet Sands to give her some attack for all that EM. This works best at C2 plus, but works fine at C0. You can decide between a Pyro damage cup or EM cup depending on if you want more personal damage from abilities/attacks or more overload damage. Teamed with a Full EM Kuki, C6 Bennet, and Fischl with Elegy. Plenty of healing for comfort, some really strong overloads, and really good non reaction damage. The end of the rotation has Chevy on field doing one or two N3C combos with Bennet's Pyro infusion before resetting.
Reasonable Genshin player: "Ok so she's a pretty strong support character who will work well with Electro in overlo--" Me: "F U C K I N G R I F L E L E T ' S G O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O"
For the kazuha comparison I feel like you somewhat undersold her, I tested her at c0 with the fontaine craftable against my kazuha with xiphos moonlight at 1000em and in the hyper raiden archetype comparing the initial burst hits they actually did the same (dmg within 1k of each other) which is extremely impressive imo
chev only needs a lot of hp that is easy to find rather than 1k em kazuha, and c0 already enough for her, easy to trigger those buffs than kazuha, and her skill/burst faster than kazuha 😆, my kazuha caped at 965 EM cant find flower/feather 100EM as for chev I just use my barbara arte 🤣😂

well she was kind of born on the finish line already, just like Shinobu but a little worse. Shinobu right now is a really good unit cause nice kit and a main role in dendro reaction team combs. Now Chevreuse is slightly lower, cause she is restricted with only Pyro and Elec but the buff she gives are more than enough, it even bigger when she is c6. Open some new team combs and also a chance for future Elec and Pyro char to have more playstyles and team combs are a big W for a 4*, not just like they're useless unless you have them at c6 (Mika, Faruzan, etc)
As a dirty Diluc main, I'm super excited to see how she'll fit in my usual teams. My typical daily team is Diluc/Raiden/Zhongli/Bennet and I have a feeling she's going to be a fun replacement for old Geo.

We need a 5* character with whole bunch of benefits like this but for Physical/superconduct. Happy to see character that revives a reaction and creates whole new ways to play, even if she isn't universal pickup or whatever, doesn't work everywhere, i think there is merit in making certain teams work that would of been at best a afterthought or only ever done as a experiment before.
Best artifacts in slot for benny are Oblige so.... That reduces using them together. You could put something else on Benny but for that you can also put something else on Chevreuse. I think she is in a weird spot.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand, Chevreuse isn't an overload buffer like other reaction buffers are. She is a pyro and electro DMG buffer that is fueled by the team proccing overloaded? Why not just play the same exact team, but replace Chevreuse with Kazuha on VV to get the same RES shred (that lasts 4 seconds longer through VV AND can be procced from off-field through Kazuha's burst swirling) and also Kazuha's elemental DMG bonus buffing through his passive and skill? Kazuha can also regroup the enemies that were spread by overloaded. The only difference Chevreuse brings to the table is healing.
Her passive explicitly says you HAVE to run a team with ONLY ELECTRO and PYRO to get her buffs. If you add Kazuha you won't get her first passive talent (The resistence shred one)
The fact that Chevreuse shreds both Pyro and Eelctro just through dealing overload reactions is really great. It makes overload teams simpler to use since you don't need to use an Anemo VV to swirl both elements. I just wish they increased the shred more than 40%. I mean, she's going to be a niche unit anyways, so might as well give her stronger shred than VV since overload is the only team you really want to bring her in.

4 characters full emblem- raiden,sara,xiangling,chev and most of them hit over 700% which is crazy for all to hit a lot-if they put out a char like sub dps and buff instead xiangling the team will be fire
I'm glad we've got another somewhat strong 4-star, but I wish we had a more fun/interactive way to proc her buffs. Right now, literally just keeping her in your party and using your skill is all you need.
When you use black teasel, use er sand to balance the er. When you use rightful reward, use hp sand with more er rolls. Chevruse kind of good niche support that we have been looking for. Sadly she doesn't do anything with overload dmg. Same with navia to crystallized reaction.

The Raiden banner is the first one I ever rolled on (started genshin a month or two ago) because I did a trial run of Raiden in the Freminet event, and I got c6 Chevy while trying to get Raiden. I didn't expect her to be so FUN, eeESPECIALLY when combined with Raiden. With Chevy's C4, after using her burst her skill can be used in the "hold" mode 2 times without triggering cooldown (allowing you to fire it three times), and due to Raiden's skill triggering the overload reaction, the damage is REALLY GOOD. But my favourite part is actually the knockback. Lots of people say they like it better on BIG enemies, but I like it better on the small ones. They take so much knockback from her burst that they fly into the air, and then you can fire off the three skills so fast they STAY middair and it's so freaking fun. It is crazy fun, flashy, and actually does really good damage. The other members on my team are C6 Bennet and Fischl (though this could easily be substituted for Kujou Sara). The raiden banner is literally an entire team in ONE banner, it's great.

What a cruel world.

I've been trying a Beidou Overload comp with Chevreuse, Fischl, and C6 Bennett; it's a lot of fun as long as you're not fighting small enemies.
Can you test Razor with your C6 Benny, I want to know if it's good or not but I lack a c6 benny

I'm trying a hybrid build right now (2pc Golden Troupe, 2pc HP Set), Deathmatch (bc ist looks hella clean on her) and her Artifact Mainstats are HP%/PyroDMG/HP%.
Crit is at 65/115 and 38k HP but 0 ER.
I know it sounds kinda cope but I'm hitting 50k Skills and still got almost the full buff from her passive - its kinda nice
I’ve hit death match on her too, looks much better and fit raw damage and I just about got 40,000HP. Try and get 40,000hp
Gotta say fair credit to dehya in these teams,her offield pyro apply+her interupt res and dmg reduction are mighty useful aswell that if used with fav and tenacity she brings alot of utlity.
She can bring a decent amount of dmg depending on build doh that is mostly locked behind her c1

I feel like the only Genshin player that’s never had a problem with overload, and cheveruse’s inclusion makes me soo happy to build overload teams
I feel like people overstate how bad overload is for grouping.
The enemies it's really bad for are small enemies that probably won't take you long to kill anyways.
Vs larger enemies there's a CC aspect to frequently staggering them. Limits their movement and you can herd them with good positioning.
Vs. bosses and mechs it's a non issue entirely.

Oblige on its own is also an English word, though, and that's how you pronounce it. So it's not as awkward as saying ChevROOSE instead of Chevreuse. Btw that's not a rolled R. People rarely roll their R anymore in French; it's usually associated with old people and rural settings.
Chevreuse might be the best support for Pyro and Electro team and also her C6 give Pyro and Electro damage bonus i only need 1 cons to maximize her support capabilities.

She’s good for characters that requires resistance to interruption, like bow characters, I guess, if you don’t have shield characters.
There are some teams she can be used in, such as melt Ganyu, and with Neuvilette.
But to mention again, if you have Xiangling, build her; so much better than Deyha.
@@reece5634 im currently run Noelle, Bennett (my main dps right now), Heizou and Kujou Sara for elemental reaction and exploring. Consider changing Noelle for her but feel like i may need the Geo for breaking shield.

My DPS build for Chevy is a bit different. I'm building her as an overload focused DPS with EM/CV Crimson witch 4 piece and Staff of Scarlet Sands to give her some attack for all that EM. This works best at C2 plus, but works fine at C0. You can decide between a Pyro damage cup or EM cup depending on if you want more personal damage from abilities/attacks or more overload damage. Teamed with a Full EM Kuki, C6 Bennet, and Fischl with Elegy. Plenty of healing for comfort, some really strong overloads, and really good non reaction damage. The end of the rotation has Chevy on field doing one or two N3C combos with Bennet's Pyro infusion before resetting.
Reasonable Genshin player: "Ok so she's a pretty strong support character who will work well with Electro in overlo--"

For the kazuha comparison I feel like you somewhat undersold her, I tested her at c0 with the fontaine craftable against my kazuha with xiphos moonlight at 1000em and in the hyper raiden archetype comparing the initial burst hits they actually did the same (dmg within 1k of each other) which is extremely impressive imo
chev only needs a lot of hp that is easy to find rather than 1k em kazuha, and c0 already enough for her, easy to trigger those buffs than kazuha, and her skill/burst faster than kazuha 😆, my kazuha caped at 965 EM cant find flower/feather 100EM as for chev I just use my barbara arte 🤣😂

I am not saying she is better than kazuha or as good as him generally speaking but in the teams she does work she is extremely close buffing wise, one example being hyper carry raiden
well she was kind of born on the finish line already, just like Shinobu but a little worse. Shinobu right now is a really good unit cause nice kit and a main role in dendro reaction team combs. Now Chevreuse is slightly lower, cause she is restricted with only Pyro and Elec but the buff she gives are more than enough, it even bigger when she is c6. Open some new team combs and also a chance for future Elec and Pyro char to have more playstyles and team combs are a big W for a 4*, not just like they're useless unless you have them at c6 (Mika, Faruzan, etc)
As a dirty Diluc main, I'm super excited to see how she'll fit in my usual teams.
My typical daily team is Diluc/Raiden/Zhongli/Bennet and I have a feeling she's going to be a fun replacement for old Geo.
Turns out I even have a decent 4 piece of the new set for her already too since I've been farming it for Navia

This is a great guide and all...but don't forget that Bungee Gum has the properties of both rubber and gum.
We need a 5* character with whole bunch of benefits like this but for Physical/superconduct. Happy to see character that revives a reaction and creates whole new ways to play, even if she isn't universal pickup or whatever, doesn't work everywhere, i think there is merit in making certain teams work that would of been at best a afterthought or only ever done as a experiment before.

Best artifacts in slot for benny are Oblige so.... That reduces using them together. You could put something else on Benny but for that you can also put something else on Chevreuse. I think she is in a weird spot.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand, Chevreuse isn't an overload buffer like other reaction buffers are. She is a pyro and electro DMG buffer that is fueled by the team proccing overloaded?
Why not just play the same exact team, but replace Chevreuse with Kazuha on VV to get the same RES shred (that lasts 4 seconds longer through VV AND can be procced from off-field through Kazuha's burst swirling) and also Kazuha's elemental DMG bonus buffing through his passive and skill? Kazuha can also regroup the enemies that were spread by overloaded. The only difference Chevreuse brings to the table is healing.
Her passive explicitly says you HAVE to run a team with ONLY ELECTRO and PYRO to get her buffs. If you add Kazuha you won't get her first passive talent (The resistence shred one)

The fact that Chevreuse shreds both Pyro and Eelctro just through dealing overload reactions is really great. It makes overload teams simpler to use since you don't need to use an Anemo VV to swirl both elements. I just wish they increased the shred more than 40%. I mean, she's going to be a niche unit anyways, so might as well give her stronger shred than VV since overload is the only team you really want to bring her in.

I'm glad we've got another somewhat strong 4-star, but I wish we had a more fun/interactive way to proc her buffs. Right now, literally just keeping her in your party and using your skill is all you need.

The Raiden banner is the first one I ever rolled on (started genshin a month or two ago) because I did a trial run of Raiden in the Freminet event, and I got c6 Chevy while trying to get Raiden.
I didn't expect her to be so FUN, eeESPECIALLY when combined with Raiden. With Chevy's C4, after using her burst her skill can be used in the "hold" mode 2 times without triggering cooldown (allowing you to fire it three times), and due to Raiden's skill triggering the overload reaction, the damage is REALLY GOOD. But my favourite part is actually the knockback. Lots of people say they like it better on BIG enemies, but I like it better on the small ones. They take so much knockback from her burst that they fly into the air, and then you can fire off the three skills so fast they STAY middair and it's so freaking fun. It is crazy fun, flashy, and actually does really good damage. The other members on my team are C6 Bennet and Fischl (though this could easily be substituted for Kujou Sara). The raiden banner is literally an entire team in ONE banner, it's great.

I've been enjoying playing her as a sub-dps (c5 with Homa) and filling the down time with Bennett (c6 built for damage). XL and Fischl or Yae for the last slots. She's great and a lot of fun.

She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She grabs Gouba. She says "Gouba, get them." There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but pure, no icd pyro application. What a cruel world.
