  • There are two main elements to watch out for in understanding the Bible as history. First, I read the Bible as a perfect history book with no errors in one-step planning. This view, often referred to as the epithet inspiration, is that the biblical record is complete and that all events recorded in the Bible have a perfect basis and do not tolerate any historical errors or mistakes.
Second, contrary to the first argument, the Bible is unreliable because it lacks historical objectivity. The authors of the Bible claim that they were religiously biased and subjectively distorted objective events by applying overly friendly views only on their own people and God.
Let's look at these two perspectives and talk about a balanced perspective at the end.
