Nigeria is a 110 years old country or going back to Nok Civilization a 3,600 years old polity but we have only being independent for 63 years and our 1999 constitution makes us even younger at just 24 years. We have to remember it took the United States from independence in 1776 until 1970s to be what it is today that like 160 years while in just 63 years we are already the #1 economy and population in Africa and we are sixth in agriculture in the world and first in Africa with being a major producer of many food products. We also dominate the continent in Banking, Payment services, Fast food chains, Hotels, E-commerce, Entertainment (films and music), natural resources like oil- headquarter in whole of Africa for Shell and ExxonMobil- and building materials like cements. God bless Nigeria Proudly Nigerian
Train stations are not like airports where you go and sit. You hardly see that much space in the London underground to sit. so, it's not a big deal that you don't have seats. You must work with the schedule and get to the station at least 5min before next trip. This is so so commendable because Nigeria, especially Lagos the commercial capital is long overdue for this kind of transport system.
Wow, this is really encouraging and i want to use this medium to thank the Governor of Lagos state Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his effort to making sure trains run freely during his tenure and i pray great projects like these are completed. Improvement if security is essential. I left Nigeria in 2012 and i saw the ground being plotted and 2023 the blue lane train is now working but it will be wonderful if it can run until Badagry to make life easier for Nigerians living in those secluded areas. Also, danfo buses should be scrapped and BRT busses only run the roads to curb traffic and too much loitering. Great job LuchiVee and please keep up the great work.
Spectacularly beautiful views of Lagos to remove stress from the body of commuters and they take in the relaxing view of sea as they enjoy their train ride. For the first time in a long time I am proud of a Nigerian government and proud to be a Lagosian in the diasporas. Well done for making these video.
No Seating allowed to deter loitering, soliciting and trading on the platforms and stations. We all know how Nigerians can turn anywhere, any place into an instant market. A train station is meant for onward movement of people and services, no waiting and no delays on the part of the train operators.
Seating should be provided for pregnant women and elderly people who may want to rest just before boarding the train. Some time they may have sudden leg weakness
Oluchi, daalu rinne! I've been waiting for someone to upload their experience on the Blue Line. The service is a much needed addition to the transport infrastructure of Lagos! It will help decongest the roads. I just hope that it is maintained and improved upon. Lagos deserves such a service. I wish the announcements were in Yoruba language as well. First time seeing your face actually, and you look beautiful in your natural hair, without wig.Keep it up!!.lt's funny how people in lagos don't seems to know the train schedules,we in the diaspora probably know the timetable more than people back home.😅Marina station is actually bigger than it looks from outside.Maintenance is the problem in Nigeria,if those stations were in abroad you would have seen the cleaners, keeping the station looking new, especially at less busy hours. The goverment should please employ people to clean the stations maybe every two hours or so.That is the only way to keep it looking new and always clean.Lagos need complete overhaul, lots of trees and greenery, everywhere is looking rundown.Thank you for the ride.❤Cheers.
Would be easier if some entrepreneurial spirited Nigerians owned cleaning companies. This way the train company or relevant authority would merely contract instead of having an additional layer of complexity and bureaucracy by creating a role for cleaners in the system.
Actually Lagos government has a very good record when it comes to cleaning. Refuse trucks operate in pretty much every street in Lagos once a week. It's the people who litter senselessly that I'm worried about.
