    Hi Angela, my name is Celeste and I live in Westminster Colorado and I absolutely LOVE your videos!!! I just got a brand new Baby Lock long arm sewing machine for Christmas and I love it!! I'm brand new at learning how to use the long arm but I bought your book " Meandering" and I love it!! I hope my sister and I can do a road trip this summer to visit your store! We would hit the jackpot if we get to meet you and take one of your classes!!! I've been quilting for about 25 years and love your style! I am 58 years old and work at a private school. Thank you for all your videos! Your amazing and so fun and encouraging ! Thanks again!

    Ive fallen a bit behind on the quilt a long schedule due to, you know… Life. I just re-watched this video and did a few blocks of wavy lines and serpentine lines with a wicked ass beastie boys video cranked in the background. GOOD TIMES!! I was totally impressed with how my very first attempt at serpentine lines was completely atrocious and my last block totally rocked. I feel like I must attribute my success to both you Angela Walters and the Beastie Boys 30 min music video on RUclips "Make Some Noise" which helped me drop my shoulder tension and just rock out! :D my sewing machine sure made some noise! Lol

    I am enjoying this course immensely. I am not making the quilt at the moment and telling myself it's because of the colours. Pink and white is not my style but I have plenty of other colours I could use. Most of all I am trying not to copy you too much as I am off to teach free motion quilting next week here in the UK but rest assured I am taking your books with me and will be singing the praises of your courses and challenges. Love your presentation skills and your enthusiasm and your whole quilt story.

Do you start with pulling up the bottom thread and knotting it and do the same at the end? Or do you stitch small stitches close together when you start and stop. Or is there another method? Thanks so much for all of you quilting designs!

    There is something beautiful about the serpentine line. I think it reminds me of the Lake Michigan shoreline with the effects the wind creates on the sand. And yes, sometimes I say, "I did it, wow that looks as good as Angela's". But then I loose it. Someday I will have to get the ruler. But that also involves getting the foot. Why can't money just grow on trees?

    Angela help! I'm still way back at the beginning. 😢😉. I had already purchased a couple of the FM feet for my little Singer Pro. I tried them both and my darning foot too. They worked great! I had the movement and rhythm down surprisingly good and was needing mainly to practice shapes. I was out of operation for quite a while -fibromyalgia flare up- Tried to practice this week in hopes of catching up and it was disastrous! The crazy (🙄) FM feet would not come down far enough to even skim over the top of the same sample Quilt sandwich I'd used before. The thread knotted up on top and bottom of Quilt piece. Is there any hope? I understand if this is too lengthy for you to tackle. (Don't know where else to go with specific question.) Love love your Midnight Quilting RUclips program❣️Thanks

    • @AngelaWaltersfmq

      Do that have a little dial that you can use to adjust the height of the foot? That might help them be low enough to the quilt sandwich.

    I watched the video, printed off the sheets, tried a wee practice line, then went to my square. Nearly at the bottom of the first line (pushing the block away from myself), my needle broke! That is the first time this has happened.After checking everything out yet again, I started again. A line and a half this time before the thread broke. Then another line and a half and another thread break. Quit for the day. I had only just (yesterday afternoon) done the dot to dot piece over again successfully after having trouble the first time and all the settings were the same and I kept the ruler foot on (Juki TL2010Q). Why can I not get my settings to work consistently. The only difference was that I used the ruler for the dot to dot and not for the wavy lines. Help!!!

    • @greenjeanssewing
      @greenjeanssewing 6 лет назад

      Cindy Swoveland A couple of weeks ago a similar thing happened to me. I was quilting along fine, didn’t change settings, and my thread started breaking. I tried re-threading, changing the needle, changing thread, turning the machine off and on, etc. Nothing was helping and the tension became all out of whack, too. My husband suggested unplugging the machine completely. I had my doubts because I had already tried a restart; but, I did it anyhow. Lo, and behold! It worked! No idea why unplugging the machine helped, but it did. You might give it a try. Good luck!

    • @cindyswoveland2277
      @cindyswoveland2277 6 лет назад

      Interesting. I can see this if one has a computerized machine...computers of all kinds (even my old washing machine) need to be rebooted periodically. But my Juki is not computerized. It is a mechanical machine. And I unplug and plug back in regularly anyway as I don't want to leave it plugged in lest the dog accidentally start it up!
