So if the health bar is green the means it’s lower level, if it’s yellow it’s about the same level, if it’s orange their 1 level above you, if it’s purple their 2 levels above, and if it’s red they are 3 or more levels above you. Cory if you see this, definitely go for Lundas armor, it inflicts poison in melee attacks and if you get the whole set, it also does 40% extra damage. I’ve been using it and it melts the bosses hp so fast.
It is beautiful how Odin is manipulating Atreus if you watch the different characters react to him, dwarf: fear, his people: robotic, and even Thor looks annoyed and kind of trapped. Odin is giving Atreus the 'freedom' his father didn't give him, it is a way of making him fall for the image that Odin is creating. Classic.

That Atreus combat along with the addition of Freya as a follower as well as other followers like Brok and Sindri who don't follow completely, but do a few missions with you and actually participate in combat make this game such a beautiful sequel. Brok and Sindri are suprsingly effective in combat even though I did half expect them both to act like Donald from Kingdom Hearts and not do much lol then the Freya addition was the chef's kiss for sure🤌🏾 her Vanir/Valkyrie powers with her bow make up for where Atreus doesn't show up in gameplay. It's definitely game of the year status and a good matchup against Elden Ring for the title

I seriously love how this game incorporates the stories and myths from actual Norse Mythology like with Atreus becoming more like Loki. Such as him and Thor doing a mission together is pretty much the same from Norse myth of both Loki and Thor sometimes traveling together and doing crazy shit together, also Loki and Odin becoming blood brothers in Norse Myth.

Atreus has a personality that most people in this game don't have and it's the ability to see through anything with a positive outlook and a very determined mindset. It's a double edged sword that he is able to be so open-minded and curious, but also so determined and naïve. He's a good kid and was raised just right. It's sad but it's a good thing he grew up with a destiny like this. He learns the hard way each time, it's a rough thing for a kid to handle. Grew up very differently than Kratos, and I think it was better that way.
That's called being naïve and immature due to lack of life experience. And what do you know, Atreus is a child....who is naïve and immature. Heimdall literally explained his full personality because he can read his thoughts and emotions to 100% accuracy. There is zero, zero, zero excuse for his behavior. Atreus is literally behaving like a rebellious teen that has never been punished properly with love. How strong Kratos is he does not really discipline Atreus at all besides brooding and being like "I'm angry dad, go to ya room BOY". Kratos parents how the average fail parent does which makes sense because the game is being made by people with certain mindsets in modern day behind parenting. And Atreus does all that "Yes sir" which is a high show of respect for Kratos and then 5 mins later he's running off whining and being disrespectful. Those 2 things don't go together. I've never in real life seen a kid that is highly respectful to the point of yes sir yes ma'am but then act like Atreus. The kid is either a brat, average kid or highly respectful in all aspects. It's not a "double edged sword" it's foolish immaturity. Atreus's attitude is not even an option in good parents households. If a kid is upset or want to speak their piece, they can do so but acting like THIS get's you the belt or a slap, it's a no no. People only find a problem with that in modern day due to propaganda behind parenting to insist kids have more autonomy growing up so that the State can make more decisions for the child and you have no say so as the parent. NOPE, a Kratos Backhand and a hug would have solved all this.

Odin seeks to decipher the green rift for "truth", which I believe he's being deceitful and just wants power, and Loki seeks it for truth. The writers incredibly show us a dynamic between two individuals driven by truth: One with a chaotic view of the world, someone with weak morals (Odin), and someone with an optimistic view of the world, a kind spirit with good morals (Loki). Both seek truth but we see this quest for knowledge from two sides of the moral spectrum. Props to writers for this subtle yet in-your-face juxtaposition.

Heimdall did not describe his personality with "100%" accuracy. Almost everyone in the game has said Atreus has either a Good Heart, Sees the best in people or at least tries to, and has good intentions. All of your complaints are literally explained and resolved later in the game. I gave you a list of "excuses" on his behavior, why should he be punished when he was the one that was driven away? You ignore all the times when Atreus respected and even admired Kratos throughout the game but when Kratos disrespected him by assuming he went to Asgard, nothing is said about that? The moment he was feeling disrespected that's when he returned the same energy.

Atreus has a personality that most people in this game don't have and it's the ability to see through anything with a positive outlook and a very determined mindset. It's a double edged sword that he is able to be so open-minded and curious, but also so determined and naïve. He's a good kid and was raised just right. It's sad but it's a good thing he grew up with a destiny like this. He learns the hard way each time, it's a rough thing for a kid to handle. Grew up very differently than Kratos, and I think it was better that way.
That's called being naïve and immature due to lack of life experience. And what do you know, Atreus is a child....who is naïve and immature. Heimdall literally explained his full personality because he can read his thoughts and emotions to 100% accuracy.
There is zero, zero, zero excuse for his behavior. Atreus is literally behaving like a rebellious teen that has never been punished properly with love. How strong Kratos is he does not really discipline Atreus at all besides brooding and being like "I'm angry dad, go to ya room BOY". Kratos parents how the average fail parent does which makes sense because the game is being made by people with certain mindsets in modern day behind parenting. And Atreus does all that "Yes sir" which is a high show of respect for Kratos and then 5 mins later he's running off whining and being disrespectful. Those 2 things don't go together. I've never in real life seen a kid that is highly respectful to the point of yes sir yes ma'am but then act like Atreus. The kid is either a brat, average kid or highly respectful in all aspects.
It's not a "double edged sword" it's foolish immaturity. Atreus's attitude is not even an option in good parents households. If a kid is upset or want to speak their piece, they can do so but acting like THIS get's you the belt or a slap, it's a no no. People only find a problem with that in modern day due to propaganda behind parenting to insist kids have more autonomy growing up so that the State can make more decisions for the child and you have no say so as the parent. NOPE, a Kratos Backhand and a hug would have solved all this.

Dr Jonesey is right. He is a stupid kid. However, the op makes a good point. The thing is though, you should also think about the fact that Odin and Loki are akin in their quest for knowledge. Odin seeks to decipher the green rift for "truth", which I believe he's being deceitful and just wants power, and Loki seeks it for truth. The writers incredibly show us a dynamic between two individuals driven by truth: One with a chaotic view of the world, someone with weak morals (Odin), and someone with an optimistic view of the world, a kind spirit with good morals (Loki). Both seek truth but we see this quest for knowledge from two sides of the moral spectrum. Props to writers for this subtle yet in-your-face juxtaposition.

He literally saw that his dad was going to die of course he's gonna try to find out every way on how to stop it because he loves his dad. Kratos would never lay a hand on Atreus at any given point, Niave? Sure. Immature? No. He's had good intentions like stopping Ragnarok and stopping his dad from dying, he's respected Kratos the entire time until Kratos assumed he went to asgard and saw Odin driving him away when everyone was against him. Atreus, knowing he can't tell anyone about Ironwood has to take that from everyone. Kratos' assumptions are essentially what made Atreus start being disrespectful towards him in the first place. He's assumed that Atreus wants Tyr to cause a war, he assumed Atreus went to Asgard and saw Odin. I don't know if you played the entire game but you would definitely know what would happen if Atreus did listen to Kratos and did nothing. Heimdall did not describe his personality with "100%" accuracy. Almost everyone in the game has said Atreus has either a Good Heart, Sees the best in people or at least tries to, and has good intentions. All of your complaints are literally explained and resolved later in the game. I gave you a list of "excuses" on his behavior, why should he be punished when he was the one that was driven away? You ignore all the times when Atreus respected and even admired Kratos throughout the game but when Kratos disrespected him by assuming he went to Asgard, nothing is said about that? The moment he was feeling disrespected that's when he returned the same energy.
