I’m telling you, that little French Africa summit coming up in Kenya needs to be boycotted.. all African and Caribbean countries needs to act together in solidarity over this one and put to shame any African or Caribbean leaders who don’t follow suit, like western puppet leader like Ruto and many others to shame.
Don’t allow them to normalize this behavior of working with imperial powers like France.

Bjorn you have to understand that Martinique and Guadeloupe are not independent nations, secondly these islands are French speaking. These islanders for a long time enjoyed their ties 7:13 to France and did not seek their independence like their English speaking Caribbean neighbors. So hence they cannot join the Caricom community or even have observer status .Caricom then cannot be involved with these two countries because they are still territories of France and in conclusion cannot make decisions for themselves and Caricom cannot involve themselves in the politics of these two countries. So until they seek their independence then they can be free to join their English speaking Caribbean counterparts and are able to seek their own self determination.

Thank you so much for your video and your support. As a Martinican living in Martinique, I would like to add a few things. Chlordecone was also used in some countries in Africa such as in Cameroon. Because of this poison, our rivers and beaches are also contaminated. Wicked is a too kind word. They are criminals. They got away with murder...as always! In the national police, the majority is Martinican. The "gendarmes" are white only. Very segregated system! As for the recent events, well ongoing events I should say, we were asking for cheaper prices, in return, the French state sent their special force/unit called CRS 8 known for being racists and extremely violent. Everything escalated only when they arrived in Martinique and attacked us, men like women and even the elderly. There is a curfew in Martinique at the moment from 9 PM to 5 AM. The French state is far from being a democracy! We want justice and freedom. We have to break the colonial chains at last. I will definitely share your video. Thank you again.

Differences in language do not constitute a true barrier between groups of people who are supposed to care about one another. CARICOM should put forward stories and statements about any issues affecting the Caribbean islands, regardless of the languages spoken on said islands.

The thing is, unfortunately many things, histories, cultural identities , and even news gets swept under the rug due to language. You never noticed there are no Spanish Caribbean countries like Honduras in CARICOM?

It's sad too. At one point in time, French creole was the dominant language in the West Indies. You could go from Haiti to Grenada to Venezuela speaking nothing but French creole.

What Martinique must understand is that France is now been push out of Africa where they once have access to African resources now they need to recover those financial shortfall which is where Martinique now become the country for deeper exploitation, this will not be limited to Martinique alone, as Africa and eastern Europe move away from western hegemony most Caribbean countries that continue to allow countries like USA, France, England to dictate how they operate will in the near future will suffer a hike in cost of living, the problem is we no longer have decent respectable Leaders in the Caribbean most of them bowing to foreigners.

Oh please caricom cannot help martinique guadeloupe. It is to late for these folks. France is to embedded in their way of life. These folk's see themselves as French not black people or Caribbean people. Independence and self sufficiency never crossed these folks minds. There's no independent commission or drive in these two states.

France, over the years have deeply brainwashed them with colonial education and material and infrastructural development, so they think they are French, and as a result many don't want independence to determine their own destiny. They see independent islands in the Caribbean as poor and underdeveloped and think they are better off as dependents, without realising that They're still being exploited and oppressed. White French, like leeches, are there in their thousands, living their best lives.
