Mmm. IMO there's a clear difference between this look and what she does in f.ex. Headbanger, but you could be right, and it's just the RUclips compression that distorts it somewhat.
Great reaction, thanks! Su-metal loves to perform this one live. She said it's one of her favorites. They use harmonizing backing tracks sometimes, not so rare. I can't hear it here but on the FLAC track I just noticed a synth playing several parts in a higher register, some following the melody, as you mentioned. There is also a scream from Momoko hidden there in full sight. 😱 I agree, this is probably the best "BxMxC" performance ever (and not because I was there in the crowd, haha...). 🤘🦊

Yeah, I'm fairly certain there's something playing along with su on this, but my headset isn't exactly hi-fi, so it's hard to pick out, and I don't think I'd have noticed it if I hadn't heard the song a million times. @@ChiliConCarnage Yeah, I was lucky enough to attend both Legend-MM shows. And it was an incredible experience. It was also my very first time in Japan. I still regret not applying for BABYMETAL Begins (PIA Arena) last year. These four shows are my top favorite right now. Also, I'm very happy to have met many fans there in person, including several YT commenters. 😊
There are so many more knowledgeable fans out there that I've been anxious about saying this til you did. But, yeah, this is the BEST version I have heard of this song. Su just added these little dollops of stank to the vocals that made all the difference in the world. And I think you nailed it. Su was just so committed to this performance. God bless her, this was epic! And kudos to Moa, Momo and the always indefatigable Kami's!
Yeah, they often seem to be using a backing track in addition to Su’s vocals for some parts in this song. No idea why they do that. Personally, I think as soon as the listener consciously notices that it‘s doubled, it would be better if there‘d only be the live vocals, even if they aren‘t perfect. Especially in this case, where the deviations are for the most part not in pitch, but in timing.
Su sounds great. I love this version, but I miss the high kick from Su . Vote for Su in the Best Female Metal Singer at Metal Awards, a bit of tactical voting starting to happen . She is leading let's keep it that way 😁❤🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
The double layer on Su’s voice must be added in post, since I didn’t notice it during the show. And the crowd was insanely loud at those two shows and it was nuts ❤ And yes Su’s performance wasn’t perfect but incredible good. 🤘🦊🔥
I hope you had a great time at the show. I wish I could have been there. It's the imperfections that makes me think this might be their best show ever. Not only do they elevate the rest of the performance, but they also mean that Su is stretching beyond her comfort zone, as shown in the BMC performance, and it really, really makes it something special and memorable. 🤘🦊🤘
@@ChiliConCarnage I had the best time of my life tbh. Never been to Japan before, went there for just 4 days to see the Legend MM shows and it was totally worth it. Whilst I like Babymetal shows at smaller venues for the sheer amount of interactions one can have with Moa and Momo (Su doesn’t interact directly with one that often, sadly), those bis shows in Japan are just something else.

Yeah, it's a little distracting, and it's not as if Su needs it. At the early shows where they played bmc they didn't do it as far as I can tell.
