8:14 More effective to do throughout the day rather than the more in one go
thank you Will, love your channel! I am constantly sharing your channel with everyone I know. Your presentation is clear and so very helpful.
Thank you so much for sharing my work, it's great to hear you've found it valuable! All the best :)
Me too, keep telling everyone!
It’s amazing how something so simple can be so effective. And, how comes GPS don’t know more about such things instead of writing a prescription. Thank you for your posts 👍
Really?… That is your experience in UK?
I only thought that happened in the US 🙆🏻♀️
Because GPs are doctors, not physios. There's only so much that can be fitted into their training.
They may know but wont tell, want u to going bk to them!! I know of a doc who recommended knee replacemet surgery but physio cured me.
GPS don’t seem to understand the workings of muscles
@@AlphaGeekgirl Sadly, doctors in the UK are much more likely to prescribe drugs to treat the symptoms, than take the time - which they really don't have - to work out what is causing the problem and suggesting physical, preventive exercises.
I also agree that GPs don't get sufficient training, but they are getting better in my experience. I haven't had the response to "my knee hurts when I run" with "well, stop running!" for many years.
Having pain in my right hip and leg when I first wake up in the morning. Very clear instructions and presented well and I will give these exercises a go. Many thanks.
Super! Thanks. I love the simplicity. Effective and simple.
I want to thank you, you are really helping me to understand what has happened to my body, why and how I can help myself regain my mobility. I like how you explain everything in great detail so I know I'm getting it right. I had turned to RUclips 6 months ago after having knee surgery and ankle surgery just 3 months apart. I knew I had to work extra hard if I wanted to regain my independence. I'm so grateful I found you when I did. You're making a real difference in my life. Great job! Thank you Will
It is great to have someone explain why you do these stretches and that it 11:35 is about consistency and not length of time.
Thank you for your comment, I'm so glad my approach works for you
Jean from Zambia. I am 82 I have been following you, Will, for 6 months and find your explanations are brilliant
Thank you
I found that more sessions are not more tedious. I get the feeling that it prevents stiffening at an early stage and is to some degree refreshing.
I started with some of your excercises and I can feel an improvement. It comes slowly but I guess that´s normal.
WILL! You Rock!!! Thank you for all of these videos!
Thank you so much for your kind comment!
I did the reverse lung. It felt good. I took it to 70 reps and felt a snap below my hip.
It is slightly tender but can not run.
These reverse lunges have certainly eased the pain on my back.
Thank you for the hip exercises, which will be added to the collection.
This is exactly what I need, thank you very much.
Can you address groin issues, and pelvic floor issues, especially for women?
OMG. I really need these. Didn't realize how locked up I have become. Thanks, Will!
I hope the stretches prove beneficial for you!
Wonderful 🎉thank you so much for guiding our stretches, feels great to stretch out and yet I so often forget!
Thanks, I like the stretch movements it's very soothing
I have hip pain so these are helpful. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Very, very helpful - thank you 🙏

I hope they prove beneficial for you!

You're welcome
👍👍Another great exercise for hip pain! Thanks.
Thanks for your suggestions and explanations which are very clear.😊
Thank you for your comment, have a great day
thank you
FIrst of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH. Your various videos are absolutely amazing and very helpful. I do have a question, as I recently have had a hip replacement. I know that there are SOME movements one has to be careful with, and I was wondering if you at some point could address stuff to DO and NOT to do, with a new hip. Thank you again!! Best, Soren.
Thank you so much as always
You are so welcome!
Great exercises, thank you!
You're welcome
Thanks Will....just what I need. A great range of exercises, particularly that last one which I'm sure will assist my country walks and clambering over stiles. The success of your channel is well deserved as you address each subject with great and unmatched clarity and explain things to watch out for safety wise.
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback it is really appreciated - have the best day!
Follow your videos and acquired the book! Great content. Makes a big difference at 83 years old!
Thank you for purchasing my book, I'm so pleased to hear you've found it useful!
Excellent! 👍👍
Thank you!
I have oa in my right hip. Before lockdown, I would go to the gym and work through all the exercises I had been given and it would take about 90 minutes. Very often, the next day I had difficulty walking. During lockdown, I planned exercises I could do at home, but did them little and often throughout the day. It was a much better routine for my hip, than doing it all in one go. I still do this method every day and it’s keeping me mobile whilst waiting for a new hip.
That's great to hear you've found a structure that works for you - keep up the great work!
I have multiple sclerosis which affects my right side but am able to adapt these physio exercises to suit. Thank you.
Excellent video. It's very useful for a 65 year old like myself who's always had tight hips. I subscribed to this channel a few days ago after I watched a video. You are a good teacher...:)
Thank you so much for your kind comment - have the best day
Thank You!
You're welcome!
Managed to complete all hip exercises without pain. Do get a bit of stiffness on outer thigh muscles first thing in the morning, mostly on the side I sleep. I'll try to alternate the sides in future and have a good stretch out before I get up. Your lessons are very helpful.
😊Will, you are a genius. My hips are very stiff in a couple of positions and I definitely have trouble bringing my legs up to put on my shoes. However, I can do so leaning over. I am so happy to know these evercises to loossen up my nhip muscles. All the best to you. N
Thank you so Much for what you teach!… I so appreciate the help….
I’m only 52 so far and am fairly active, working outdoors, clearing brush…
But, I have a question… lately it feels like my left hip is kind of “stuck “, not working as well as my right hip… just recently started feeling that slight stuck kind of pain…
Could it be possible, I may have pulled something, or should I try different stretches until it gets better?… Have an Excellent Day!…
Thank you, Sandra😊
Hi Sandra, I would strongly recommend being seen in person by a medical professional for an accurate assessment - have a great day!
Love this channel, your advice has already helped me #kneepain
I'm so glad - have a great day
Can you do these laying down
4:33
I'm going to try the "butterfly" again...
Thank you, Will for these stretches. My problem seems to be nerve pain from my left hip down the front and sides of my left leg and also down the front of my right leg. It’s quite painful and I deal with this daily. I have mild MS, which could possibly be part of this. Do you think these stretches could cause more problems with nerve pain?
Hi Will. I just found your channel. I’m in the U.S., 76 and need to strengthen my legs. I do walk, but as you mentioned, it’s not enough. The other video I started with, you were in a dress shirt and pants……I thought we were going to a business meeting…….lol. Thanks for your great videos.
I try to dress as professionally as possible for the audience! And I'm glad you enjoy the videos - have a great day
This collecting of exercises is exactly what I need - got a lot of pain radiating from my glute around the top of the leg and down the front. The 1st exercise is almost impossible for me - is there something else to do the same thing?
I have the same problem also, I would love to know what else would help?
I searched in vain to see if you had a video on exercises for hip pain a couple of weeks ago. Delighted to discover you read minds as well!
Always trying to broaden my skills!
Dear Will I was doing the stretch legs move in the bed as soon waking up ❤ doing the rest during the day ❤ but today I work up my left foot cuff was painful and stiff so I gave some massage got better but still aches. Can you please tell me if its a problem or I made wrong moves? THANKS A MILLION FOR YOUR HELP AND TEACHING ❤❤❤❤❤
Can I do these stretches if I have sciatica pain ? Some said the last exercise could irritate the sciatica nerves, is that true ?
Are you give consultation online ?
All very well but getting opposite ankle to knee is a real problem
💖🙏❤️
My right and left hip are not the same. I had a stroke on the right side. It hurts on the right side and I can barely lift the ankle to the knee.Any suggestions?
I have a question. I’ve been watching your video on the five exercises to do for hip or situs. In that video you also stated not to stretch your Gluth. However, this video states for hip pain to stretch the glue. I’m just a little confused I need clarification. Thank you so much!
I apologize but my edit button is not working hip bursitis* glutes
Great stretches, although as someone in the 50+ category with knee issues, that second one would be a hard NO for me.
Would kneeling on a small pillow or folded blanket make that stretch possible for you?
@@hollywebster6844 Great idea! I do have a pair of knee pads from my old job as a plumber I could use.
Thanks.
I just fractured my Patella and need commutated surgery. Problem I have found is that Orthopedist are not clear types of surgery perform. For example they say knee, but really mean replacement and not fracture. They then refer you to another Orthopedist who does that surgery thereby wasting your time. Any suggestions?.
Some of these exercises can’t be done after a total knee replacement.
