I’ve had pain in my groin and upper thigh for almost five years. After scans and MRI can’t find the problem. I do believe that you just solved my problem. I will add these exercises to my morning routine. Thanks Will!
I particularly appreciate this video as it deals directly with my particular issues with the OA in my left hip and degraded mobility there. While I am very athletically-minded, I am also almost 70 years old, and I lost a lot of mobility in my less-active covid years. I am now getting it back to some degree with work, and your videos are helping. This one in particular seems written for me. Thank-you.
Hi Will, I’m from Singapore. I am delighted to find exercise on adductor using pillow at home without the need of going to gym to use the machine. Thanks so much for saving my time and hassle to go to gym
What valuable information, as I'm scheduled for steroid injections, Monday, in psoas tendon. I had right hip replacement 4 years ago and was told it would take care of groin pain. It did not. Started with injections soon after, which helped for a while, but grew weary of a 3 hour drive each way, so stopped after a few months. Now left tendon is giving more pain than right. I have gained weight since having meningitis and becoming more inactive. I was told that if injections don't help and pain persists, the only thing to do was clip the tendon. All that to say I will have injections on Monday, then try your exercises! I do NOT want another hip replacement! Not a fun thing! So here goes with your, always, helpful information! 🤞🤞🤞🤞 Thank you, Will. (BTW, I'll be 80 in a couple months and I need to be gardening! 😊)
Hi there - I'm sorry to hear about what you're experiencing and that your hip replacement did not relieve the pain you were dealing with - I hope my video is able to help in conjunction with your visit on Monday to help alleviate your pain - wishing you all the best :)
@DIANEPARKS975 Docs treat to remove symptoms Will treats to resolve and heal the cause. Will is wonderful. I too am 80 in July 2024. HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY TO YOU from me. I just mowed my lawn.
This is perfect for me. Over the last year I have been trying to change how I walk so the arthritis in my hip caused by laterally tilted pelvis is not made worse. Recently concentrated on moving hips as per recent video and swinging left leg and using foot properly. This has led to painful left groin and outer thigh muscles so strength needed I think. I do wish I lived near Harlow. But the weather here in Andalucia is somewhat better. 😂
Great information and clearly presented on STOP Stretching Your Groin! I enjoyed watching this educational and very helpful video! Many thanks for sharing it with us, Will! Truly appreciated it! Keep up the good work! 🙌❤👍
Thank you so much for all your exercises and help Will. What I love is not just all the valuable information and exercises but how you explain everything step by step so that I can easily understand them and why and what they are actually doing. Thank you for the Friday emails too, they are fabulous ! … thank you from the heart … ❤️
Wow! Will, thank you so much for your videos and advice! I took your advice and was able to achieve "immediate", tangible improvement in my groin pain and lack of flexibility. I am 68 years old and have definately noticed the decline in my overall flexibility, balance, strength etc. I have implemented most of your very sound advice and have had very positive results. You have helped me enormously. Although I am from the UK, I have lived in Canada for the last 14 years. I am familiar with Farnham and remember visiting The Castle pub in the mid 70s when they had certain "exotic" types of fish in the fish tank. These memories of Farnham makes watching your videos even more enjoyable. Thanks again, have a wonderful day.
Well put-together video. First time I’ve ever pulled a groin and I’m 64. Just joined a co-Ed softball team after not playing for 25 years. Things dont move like they used to 🫤 I will try these strengthening exercises this evening. Thank you for posting!!
I’m glad I found your channel just when I needed some good tips on how to fix my joints issues and just about anything in my body. Just subscribed so I can follow through your healing advices and work on it that best suit my needs. Thank you for sharing. Watching here in Jacksonville Florida USA 🇵🇭🇺🇸
Thank you so much! I am not a PT but a somatic educator and yoga teacher. I often have a hard time telling if someone is weak or tight. Often I go by life style. If you sit allot possible weak , any tips on that? Also I can not wait to share this weak groin movement with a client who complains of tight groins. I teach her pandiculation not stretching. It helps allot. but always returns. This person sits allot and has a high stress job, am thinking she may be sitting in the back of sit bones all day. Thx again love your channel!
Thankyou Will, I only found you recently, and your advice is appreciated. I have hip, groin and IT band knee pain mainly at night, so will try this. Which other videos would you recommend specifically for IT band releif?
Thanks Will great advice I will definitely try this also pass it on , I’m 77 and had goon pain for some time also have R/A which could be the problem 🤔🥴👍
These are great exercises. I just finished with a physio therapist so I am on my own now. I have had two hip replacements each hip. They were done the posterior way. Before the surgery I had a lot of groin pain. My left hip was done 2018 and after all this time I still have groin pain so this is what the physio was all about. would that last one be ok to do. I know there were some things I am not supposed to ever. I look forward to more. I am really determined to loosen up the stiffness so I can get a walking program going. I'm 74, female.
Very timely for me. I have had severe groin pain after water aerobic classes that has a movement of us leaping sideways while pulling water with our arms towards us. I have had difficulty switching to the other direction. The next day one side hurt a lot for several days. I finally put two and two together to realize that this movement causes the pain. So much for the belief that water aerobics is gentle on the joints! I’ll be skipping that exercise from now on
Pleased my video came at the right time - I'm pleased you were able to identify which movement it was that was causing you problems and to remove it from your routine :)
(Larry San Diego) Thanks for your recommended exercises to ease my groin pain. Would you recommend using an abductor and inner abductor at the gym as well? Thanks
I had a hip replacement & I am having pain in my groin, outer thigh muscle & knee. Will these exercises with the pillow work for me? It’s been over a year. Thanks Will.
Hi Will, I have unilateral groin pain due to hip arthritis, and so have started doing the band distraction exercises. Question: Would the pillow squeeze exercise you showed in this video also be helpful for someone with hip arthritis? It wasn't clear to me. Thanks.
Hola amigo Buenas tardes. Te sigo, pero se puede colocar Subtitulado en Español. Realizo los ejercicios por q eres muy bueno haciendo los movimientos así te sigo también me apoyo con los Comentarios. Cgracias a todos. Gracias a ti xtu ayuda.Excelente.❤
Are there any versions of the hip flip extension the don't involve being on your knees? I have arthritis in my knees and can't kneel like that. How can I get the same benefit without kneeling? And thanks for this video. I'm having so much hip pain on one side. Arthritis is confirmed by Dr.

Me too, ever since I had my hip replaced.

Brilliant advice. Thank you.
As a massage therapist I find adductors are tight because of pinched nerve in lower back and buttock and releasing those helps reverses the problem.
This is great, thank you.
Happy to help :)
Thank you, Will.
My pleasure!
Very helpful - thank you
You're very welcome!
Thank you.

(Larry San Diego) Thanks for your recommended exercises to ease my groin pain. Would you recommend using an abductor and inner abductor at the gym as well? Thanks

@JuliePope-nz5pe I just do the laying on the back, knees-up-with-pillow exercises. I too cannot kneel. My knees click too much.
Will Harlow talking about groins -- I'm breathless, it's almost overwhelming, isn't it?!?
Yes it is!!
Steady the buffs!🤣
😁 that made me LOL!
😂
Pls make a video on patellar tracking n meniscal tear I have bowed legs due to it really need more info
Can I do the second activity in a standing lunge rather than kneeling? Kneeling is difficult.
Also it doesn’t apply to people with knee pain
Hi you mentioned about receiving a Friday email but I can't find how to sign up for this. Please advise.
