    Juelz Santana was a beast back in the days. His flow was crazy!

    I'm with you. I kinda feel like some of these guys were "forced" to make catchy radio hits by the execs/labels. Jada is constantly saying how he hated a good amount of the songs (dumbed down) that he had to put out by Puff so they could dominate the air waves.

  • @brandonp1855

    Song sounds great in the car lol. One of my favorite Banks verses is from the "Victory" Remix that G-Unit did where they remixed the classic track "Victory" from Biggie/P Diddy.

    This was/is a banger.. I still have this on my playlist, played it just before i seen your post… from the comments I can only imagine that too many people got acclimated with hip hop by listening to bull shit first and have such a skewed perspective..🤷🏾‍♂️

    You hit the nail on the head with the critiques. Those are the same critiques he has gotten. Too cool for school, voice doesn't change up enough, monotone, no vulnerability. However, I'd love for you to hear his newest stuff from the newest to the stuff that has been coming out the last few years. I believe his first one crushed expectations and showcased his skill, then the next few albums suffered from the above criticisms, then by the time he started getting flack from 50 and getting on the outs with him, he had something to prove and filled those artistic gaps!

      Guru got the same critique in most regards, though he's stood up better than Lloyd Banks due to the lyrical content.

    This shit woke me up. I kinda like this one. This is something I'd dance to. It's a bouncy style of dance for songs like this.

    Lol @ "interpretive dance." In answer to your question: yes, Lloyd Banks tends to have a very low-key tone on most of his raps. Also, Juelz Santana was featured on Cam'ron's "Welcome to New York City" feat. Jay-Z. He had a minor solo career, where his biggest hit was "Oh Yes!" which samples The Carpenter's cover of "Please Mr. Postman" that's bouncy and catchy

    I never got into Banks myself but I do love Juelz and I do love the Diplomats, the crew that Juelz came up with. You should definitely listen more to "the Dipset". They have laid back and fun songs that flirt with hard core harlem gangster stuff.

      I have 2 of their songs on my list: Dipset Anthem and I Really Mean It. Thoughts?

    • @arsenaali
      @arsenaali 2 месяца назад

      @@ABoomerReacts Both of them are great dipset tracks and production is top notch from Heatmakerz and Just Blaze. You could say that "I really mean it" is actually a Cam'ron song since he's the only one on that track, but it was released on the Diplomatic Immunity album and it's definitely part of the dipset era.

    While I have you your attention since I'm the 1st comment...can you please get some Sa-Roc and/or Rapsody in your female mix? Rap just came out with another album but they both have great songs throughout their discography. Also, Yelawolf also just came out w another huge project but I'd prefer you listen to Shadows w Joshua Hedley, Johnny Cash, Trailer Park Hollywood or Daylight. Thanks. Have a great Day! 😊

      Thanks for the suggestions! The only Yelawolf song not on my list is Johnny Cash so I added it. I've done 1 Rapsody reaction (Dark Knights) but I have plenty of other suggestions; and I only have 3 Sa-Roc suggestions. Can you give me a song title for each one and I'll see if it's on my list.

  • @jaesan5872

    The production is basically mid to late 2000's Bay Area Hyphy style. So, you probably wouldn't be a fan of that style if you didn't like this. If you didn't like Banks or Juelz on this then you probably wouldn't like much of their other work because this is their style and flow. I personally like both, but I can see Banks' monotone style not being for everyone.
