Gotta love those days when the wind and the seas come together to create a great sail! We had a great sail this past Saturday out on the Pacific. Wild was at 15 knots and the seas were four feet. No chop, just a gentle roll and six knots of speed.
Great videos. We have stayed on the island of Eleuthera nemorous times...right at the villa where you anchored your boat. I can't get enough of the island. The glass window bridge is something to see when the waves are crashing over it. We try and surf the kayaks on the surge...if you get it right...you can ride the wave for 150 yards plus. The waves are so big from the Atlantic side..where you were on the cliffs...you could of easily been swept into the sea from that high up. If you get a chance to snorkel in front of the bridge...calm day...you will see wreckage from the vehicles that did not make it across the bridge during the rage. The blow holes are great when the ocean is rough, just don't put your head over it..especially if you dropped something down it. You wouldn't believe how many times we watched people do this and were surprised at end result. Enjoy the people of Eleuthera...they are some of nicest people you will ever meet.
Beautiful scenery! The drone shots really showed the stark difference between the Atlantic side and the Caribbean side. The natural jacuzzi looked amazing. Sea urchins are a delicacy. You guys have a lot to be thankful for as far as that awesome lifestyle. Stay safe and thanks for sharing your travel adventures!
Please do some more sky at night time lapse video.... they are so beautiful. People who live in the city never get to see the real night sky. You guys keep up the good work!
When photographing a harbor scene in Nova Scotia on a really foggy morning, I was complaining to a fellow photographer, a stranger, about the weather. Without lifting his eye from the tripod mounted camera he said, just think of the people that never get to see it like this. I have pondered that my whole life and have rarely been disappointed . I have loved your adventures from your first video not only for the quality but for your honest enthusiasm
You two are so good at capturing beautiful sunsets and I always enjoy the high perspective map-like views from your drone. I couldn't help but notice how much more proficient and at ease sailors you are now, when compared to your first on-your-own sailing days where each decision was a stressful "oh I hope this is the right move for these conditions". What a difference a couple months experience makes! I wish I could learn as quickly as you two do.....thank you for sharing what you've learned along the way! Oh....and little Nik, the daredevil who walks the edge of high jagged cliffs that can trip or give-way.....I doubt I was the only one in dread, turning blue holding my breath.....you little turkey ;).
Maaaaaan those skies! I could never get tired of those skies at sunset! Another stunning video dudes! The contrast between a Caribbean Cove and the Ocean was amazing!
I truly envy you both! I've written here before and you've replied back. Thank you! I wish upon a star but here I sit watching dreams go by.....wishing I to could enjoy the beauty that you two get to see! Another great video ! Thank you again !
It seems like so many things in life that you really look forward to turn out to be kind of ho hum, and then something that you just stumble on to is spectacular. I think that's what makes life great. Awesome video and glad you guys are having so much fun . Waiting for the next one.
Your drone footage was great. Such strong memories. My first time to Glass Window was 1968 (give or take.). There was a walk across. Life in your own hands! AS you could see , the bridge has moved.....several time. Thank you.
It's great to see how your confidence as grown so fast . You are awesome , here you are sneaking thru narrow cuts, pulling into an anchorage almost after dark like its nothing , and sailing whenever you can. Really cool. Cheers Warren
So pretty, you two rekindled my love of boats and the ocean. Thank you so much for all the beauty and inspiration I am boat shopping in the coming months ... Stay safe and fairwinds !
you guys seem to be really thriving on that boat. I'm really happy for you both period thank you for taking the time to do these videos and share it with us. let the good times roll.
I stumbled on your channel today because of your RV videos and stayed because of your enthusiasm and general attitude towards travel and adventure. Also because when I found out you guys bought a catamaran and were new to sailing, I was shocked! I love sailing and going on road trips but I've never owned a boat or an RV so being able to watch you guys walk through stuff has been really awesome. Can't wait to see where you guys go next. Stay safe out there in the open ocean! :D
Great video, again! Love following you both and your enthusiasm and those cats..........sweet cats. Their relaxed energy is a clear reflection of contentment and peace that you both have around them. Great to watch.
I have no idea about sailing other than what I have learned from you. What I do know and see is how far you have come and how at ease you are now on sailing and just enjoying yourselves. Can't wait until the next video. Maybe I could talk you into doing more than one a week. Maybe an extra one on upkeep, chores, provisioning, etc. To me these kind of videos don't get boring. There is always something new even if it is just a new market... but it has different stuff.
Loving your videos more and more! The energy you both have and also the appearance of your cats and how they manage at sea, and as always the adventures you take me along the way are exciting!
I thought where I live in Coronado, California was way too expensive and it is, but Eleuthera and Nassau take top honors. I watched another sailing video where the couple in their 42 foot mono were sailing around the outer parts of the Bahamas and there were very few people around and all in swimming pool colored water (quite shallow however). Pretty amazing. I'd say, stick to eating on the boat, shop at Costco, catch fish (stop the boat, harness in, get proper lures and gear) and avoid ripoff stores that have any likeliness to Whole Foods.
Wonderful video- my DH (Kevin) and I are counting the days until we can start exploring like you two. The only problem we have with your Videos is we wish they were longer..... Fair winds!
Just beautiful. Lovely footage and sunset. I so enjoy your adventures and commentary. I've been watching from Arizona for about a year. I get to travel all over with you, thank you for sharing a part of your life with us..
Gone with the Wynns the thing I love best about YOUR videos is they are clean...as a christian it's important for me ...I really love what you two do! Thanks for keeping it clean :)
All of your videos are wonderful, but this is an island i have always wanted to see. It's a great thing you are doing, not only for yourselves but to share it is an incredible gift
Hey Beanieweenie, I have a recommendation for ya, a book called Compassing Mars. Its not what ya think, it has many biblical references, a friend of mine wrote it, I would send it to ya...but please check it out.
I have never sailed and have never spent any time on the ocean other than a couple short cruises, which really doesn't count. You two are definitely making me wish I had taken the opportunities to try it years ago... You are making me just a slight bit jealous of your awesome adventures... As always, great job on the videos, I look forward to them!
Thanks guys....if you go way back in our archives you'll see we've been learning how to make videos for years, we can still get better and that's what keeps us pushing our limits.
I have been binge watching you sailing videos and have caught up I would have to say you and s/v Delos are the best and for different reasons keep the videos coming--- really like the cats
During the years that I did a lot of scuba diving, one of my favorite things to do in late afternoon was to explore shoreline tide pools. It was as fun as drift diving the reef. There was something new under each rock in the pool. Some pools were like their own reef with coral, tube worms, flaming clams, starfish, gobies, blennys, etc. It's a great place for non-divers (and divers) to explore.
You two need to write a cook book ! All the food you make always looks amazing. I would love to be able to buy a collection of your recipes....HINT HINT!! :)
we could drone on about it..love it, you two are witty and have a great sense of humor,. love your videos. wish I had the nerve to do what you are doing--love to sail, but couldn't do this.
You guys make great videos! I love how you take us with you on these island adventures. Thanks for doing it and I appreciate all the hard work goes into it! Really guys you're doing a GREAT job!! Much love
How amazingly beautiful! But you both were making me so nervous... Reminds me of my daughter and son-in-Law live periscoping from the edge of the Grand Canyon... I kept frantically typing "Back up! Back up!" LOL (It's Mama Instinct!) Thanks again, for sharing!
Great video, good mix of commentary and action. I don't know if its the nurse in me or the old fart dad in me....but I have to say "be careful." You are helping "keep the dream alive" for many a "wanna be" full time cruiser. Thanks.
Awww... you guys have gotten experienced (somewhat at least) before our eyes. I was just thinking about how cute it was when you used to call motor sailing "motor boating" Hahahaha So cute!
That is very exciting! You guys crack me up. ... so beautiful wow. Nikki... if that was you on the edge of the cliff you scared the crap out of me.. I held my breath. Lol. No not another one... my nerves. Stunning (baths)
Great video. I really enjoy following your adventure. I also really liked the drone shots. Maybe a short video on what you have and the pluses and minuses of it?
Done and done. Always check the blog if you're curious about gear, costs, the boat.... www.gonewiththewynns.com/product/dji-phantom-3-advanced-quadcopter-drone-with-1080p-hd-video-camera
9:50 Nikki, if you love huge ocean cliffs that tower above and down into the deep deep blue crashing Ocean then Australia would have you all ‘wowed’ haha. Three times the size of cliffs in your video. Check out the ‘Great Australian Bight’.... Mate haha
I can't get over the beautiful, clear Water that your in!!!

What a great point of view. Thanks for the love.
One of your best videos ever! You two make it look easy.
Thanks!
agree to that, a good video th.. but its more and more better if nikki didn't carry that bag almost all part of the vid..
You two are so good at capturing beautiful sunsets and I always enjoy the high perspective map-like views from your drone. Yup I was holding my breath and thought the show is over if something happens here. Guys be careful!
It's so clear how happy He is sailing.Wonderful.
Maaaaaan those skies! I could never get tired of those skies at sunset! Another stunning video dudes! The contrast between a Caribbean Cove and the Ocean was amazing!
Those sunsets never get old.

Our pleasure to share a little slice with you :)

Jason is right, I've been sailing for 40 years and whenever two boats are going in the same direction its a race whether you like it or not. Game on!
Your videos are magic, full of color and clarity and we feel like being there too !!! Good Job !!! Thanks.
So pretty, you two rekindled my love of boats and the ocean. Thank you so much for all the beauty and inspiration I am boat shopping in the coming months ... Stay safe and fairwinds !
Woo, good luck with the hunt!
Gotta say the drone really demo's the contrast ! Love it so don't be disappointed it's another GREAT video guys!
you guys seem to be really thriving on that boat. I'm really happy for you both period thank you for taking the time to do these videos and share it with us. let the good times roll.
It was a purrfect sailing day 14:50 and your cats look like their living the dream...
I've been flying model airplanes for years and I couldn't do it better than you guys on the drone!! Great footage.
Wow, looks like you REALLY don't want to trip and fall on those rocks. Neat view between the two types of water.
I stumbled on your channel today because of your RV videos and stayed because of your enthusiasm and general attitude towards travel and adventure. I really like having the drone back! Gives a good perspective of the area you are in at the time. As always, great quality and thanks for sharing!

Haven't watched in awhile. So great to see how far you both have evolved in your confidence on boat
Loving your videos more and more! The energy you both have and also the appearance of your cats and how they manage at sea, and as always the adventures you take me along the way are exciting!
Having morning coffee and enjoying your latest video :) awesome!
I thought where I live in Coronado, California was way too expensive and it is, but Eleuthera and Nassau take top honors. I was getting anxious watching you walk on those rocks! They looked sharp and ankle breaking.Great stuff!
The quality of the Video was really good! Content was excellent. Good job guys, JC
Wonderful video- my DH (Kevin) and I are counting the days until we can start exploring like you two. The only problem we have with your Videos is we wish they were longer..... Fair winds!

It's a labor of love, we really do enjoy sharing these experiences with anyone and everyone.
to think people waste their time watching sitcoms etc., instead of how-to-actually-//live// videos like what you've been making . . .
Gone with the Wynns the thing I love best about YOUR videos is they are clean...as a christian it's important for me ...I really love what you two do! Thanks for keeping it clean :)

How cool! Those drone shots were spectacular!

You both are so awesome. Living life
One day you'll get to New Zealand and can visit Cape Reinga. There you can see where two oceans meet. That's pretty cool.
Sound amazing! We'll get there eventually.
Can they visit New Zealand with their cats?
Gone with the Wynns New Zealand with [edit] 'your adopted (yes still find that crazy)' cat? What's your plan on that?
Nice drone and sunset footage.
Awesome videos! Love your channel!
Congrats on winning the race Jason! Next time get some video, we wanna race too!
Maybe you guys can do a video on what charts worked for you (and what did not) as well as navigation tools.
9:50 Nikki, if you love huge ocean cliffs that tower above and down into the deep deep blue crashing Ocean then Australia would have you all ‘wowed’ haha. Three times the size of cliffs in your video. Check out the ‘Great Australian Bight’.... Mate haha
