@@ballsackwonders454 I am well aware that you can edit the midi but not every midi pianist does that and even if they do it it's usually only to correct small mistakes. You can see his hands in this video and you can see his fingers actually pressing the right notes if you watch in slow motion, at least that's what I see, feel free to correct me buy giving my a time stamp where he doesn't press the right notes (then again, that would only be minor editing). We can of course not see whether he edited the dynamics or fixed up the rhythm by shifting some notes in the midi just a tiny little bit to make it more fluent or if he changed the tempo a little (you can only tell actually barely tell something is speed up or not, people have always been accusing pianists on YT for that and have often been proven wrong) but all in all, besides hitting the right notes, this performance isn't even perfect in terms of dynamics and such. However, in general you should know that audio editing is actually the norm when it comes to processional piano recordings from professional pianists but it's also possible not only with midi but also with a simple mp3 files, it just needs different software. So what do you wanna do, accuse every pianist out there of "heavily editing" their performances if they aren't performing live? Well, I don't know what "heavily" means to you but these people aren't "faking" to be a pianist. They still have great skills and can actually play the piano so don't try to talk away and deny all the effort there went into practicing this piece and the performer's skill as a pianist just because there is the possibility of audio editing, that's not how it works man.

It could be that it sounds clearer because animenz plays on a steinway grand and i believe he plays on a digital piano
