Some English covers have to put a lot of effort into making lyrics that follow the same message and point the Japanese version had, that can be really hard because Japanese has various ways of conveying complex topics and things in short ways that would take English a lot longer to convey. There's a sort of art to the crafting of translations for lyrics and when Leeandlie comes up with her own they can be pretty good.

My biggest issue with "English versions" of Japanese songs is that the lyrics they write are usually off. I apologize in advance for this dissertation but I really felt I needed to let people know that this was far more than just an amazing piece of work and to express my gratitude to those involved. Due to the amazing job done here, it would be extremely easy to say that this an amazing piece art just from the delivery and emotional power of the vocals. I feel however that I need to bring up a couple of things that even many musicians may miss and take for granted so that the efforts of those involved are acknowledged. First off, as any anime fan who watches both subbed and dubbed versions can attest, there can be vast differences between the words displayed in the subbed versions as opposed to what's spoken in the same episodes dubbed version. These differences can largely attributed to what is commonly known as "lost in translation" (yes, just like in the movie). One example of this would be when my grandfather purchased a piece of furniture and one of the directions was "Chang the punch in the head". This was literally the instruction for this step. Obviously, this action was not the action that what was shown in the picture. I point this out because even though this is not an action being translated but a sound, a considerable amount of work must go into not only the translation of the words themselves, but also translation of intent (i.e. the chang the punch in the head reference). This is not even taking into account the synchronization of lyrics to the music, which alone is staggering in and of itself. That it can be done not only at all, but so smoothly as well astounds me. Thank you so much for all of the hard work by everyone involved (even the frustrated people who just want to spend time with friends who are either too busy to do so or are the ones waiting to finish to spend the time with their friends) to create this amazing piece of art. Bringing these amazing songs to me in this way really helps me connect more with not only the music, but the anime as well. Again, thank you all so very much! P.S. Additionally I want to express my appreciation for the amazingly incredible video that was included as you went so far above and beyond what I would ever dreamed for with not only the captioning bot montage as well. I apologize in advance for this dissertation but I really felt I needed to let people know that this was far more than just an amazing piece of work and to express my gratitude to those involved. Due to the amazing job done here, it would be extremely easy to say that this an amazing piece art just from the delivery and emotional power of the vocals. I feel however that I need to bring up a couple of things that even many musicians may miss and take for granted so that the efforts of those involved are acknowledged.
First off, as any anime fan who watches both subbed and dubbed versions can attest, there can be vast differences between the words displayed in the subbed versions as opposed to what's spoken in the same episodes dubbed version.
These differences can largely attributed to what is commonly known as "lost in translation" (yes, just like in the movie). One example of this would be when my grandfather purchased a piece of furniture and one of the directions was "Chang the punch in the head". This was literally the instruction for this step. Obviously, this action was not the action that what was shown in the picture.
I point this out because even though this is not an action being translated but a sound, a considerable amount of work must go into not only the translation of the words themselves, but also translation of intent (i.e. the chang the punch in the head reference). This is not even taking into account the synchronization of lyrics to the music, which alone is staggering in and of itself. That it can be done not only at all, but so smoothly as well astounds me.
Thank you so much for all of the hard work by everyone involved (even the frustrated people who just want to spend time with friends who are either too busy to do so or are the ones waiting to finish to spend the time with their friends) to create this amazing piece of art. Bringing these amazing songs to me in this way really helps me connect more with not only the music, but the anime as well. Again, thank you all so very much!
P.S. Additionally I want to express my appreciation for the amazingly incredible video that was included as you went so far above and beyond what I would ever dreamed for with not only the captioning bot montage as well. My mind has been utterly blown with this production.
