Depends on the necklace you choose. Go for one with small links so your hair can't get stuck in between :)
I already have :). It's titled Katniss' Braid from the Hunger Games. I did it when they only had a promo shot, so I did a French instead of a Dutch braid (oops!), but it's the same steps either way :)

I took it down after that first pass with the dutch braid (where we incorporated all the hair from the top) and used the hair from it to finish out the last two zig zags. Sorry that wasn't clear in the video, and I hope this helps :)!

i tried this for my anniversary today and it looks GREAT. i always love trying new hairstyles that i can wear with a scarf- because of my crazy-thick and long hair, i can't wear it down if i have a collared shirt or a scarf, and this is a perfect way to get my hair up and still look pretty. :) my boyfriend is still trying to figure out how i did it. ;) thanks for the great hair ideas and thorough tutorials!!!

I like how you explain that it's not going to look exactly the same because you have xyz type of hair and the person whose hairstyle you're copying has abc hair. It helps to remind us that we all have different hair types and colors and won't look the same.
for layers the best bet it to lightly dampen the top layers of hair with a spray bottle and a flex hold hair spray for fly-aways.
used this today to go watch hunger games!! sooo gorgeous...i used it without the necklaces (dont have any) and bobby pinned my grandma's goldpin....it ended up looking really cool vintage-y

If you're having trouble dutch braiding, just think of how with french braids you braid the hair over and with dutch you're braiding under. Thats how I got it :)

this is soooo pretty! great job :)
Start by applying a large dollop of Dove Style+Care Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse to damp hair and blow dry with a large round brush.
Next, take 3-inch sections of hair and spray Dove Style+Care Thermal Replenishment Spray on the hair before wrapping it around a 1-inch curling iron.
Spray Sally Hershberger Genius Spray Wax
Take two Jennifer Behr headbands and braid them into hair, an pin the braid into bun.
Finish the look by spraying Dove Style+Care Extra Hold Hairspray all over

I'd like to ask you if you could do a tutorial for very long but extremely fine hair with low density. I happen to suffer from difuse hair loss due to medical treatment and to be frank: It depresses me a lot... This is why I'm always looking for ways to at least make my remaining hair look nice, without having to damage it too much...
It'd be nice if you had an idea but I'd understand if you can't help.
