Great video and great to see RBR! Push/Pull shifters were used in WRC cars from early 00s up to 2011 when they were banned. Then they came back in 2015 and were in use up to 2021, so to the end of WRC regulations. Rally1 cars again can't use them and have stick shift.
I ha no idea they were used that far back, thank you for the info! After getting used to it, they really start to feel Natural. I prefer the stick Sequential personally but I'd love to have any rtr rally spec car right now.
Damn. I dont normally watch reviews, but for a guy with 3k subs, he's really underrated and made it really easy to watch this video. Good work dude. Thanks for helping me while keeping me entertained. lmao
@TheMtnDerr42 it's been a looooong time already, the most time I spent recovering was about a month in the past so I'm trying a longer amount of time now.
I am new to this and think this shifter is A W E S O M E ! ! ! I like the hand brake on the point of too less adjustability. Are there other hand shifters that you would recommend? How do like the Simagic sequential shifter? Thanks.
The simagic Sequential V1 and V2 feel great and I can highly recommend either one. The huesinkveld handbrakes are very popular for good reason as well. I'm still using my V1 huesinkveld handbrake with zero issues.
I had no idea this shifter existed! Just finished your video and ordered one up :) I noticed the new Hybrid cars have a large paddle on the left hand side, anyone know what that is used for? Maybe it's for the windshield wipers or possibly additional regen on the battery?
I like your voice-over more than the usual type of videos. As for the product, an unusual use for it would be in Euro/American Truck Sim, where if you had two of these paddles, the left paddle could be assigned to blinkers where as the right one would be for wipers P.S. Can I add you on Steam? I won't spam, I promise
I might do more of these voice over types, I really have been struggling to isolate my vocals in a pleasing way as of late. I have the headset mic but it sounds a bit harsh. I know how to get decent vocal recordings from recording music but I will be honest with you. I recorded about an hour of footage I couldn't use because the sound was so bad. I tried fixing it for like 4 hours so I just deleted the while project and started clean slate. The only reason I don't like doing it like this is because it comes across (imo) as less sincere. I also typically like to just say whatever I feel initially and I usually never write anything down so it stays from the heart but in the interest of time and quality this happened. I also chose to play no music in the background thinking it might be better for someone that would like to just listen to what I have to say, podcast style, and not necessarily "watch" the video. We will see, if it has good responses and the video does well, I will consider doing this more.
Nice review! ✌🏻

@TheMtnDerr42 thank you so much man! I will be returning to the scene hopefully once I'm healed up! :)
@@SleepyPantsSimRacing Hoping for a speedy recovery! 🙏

One of the few English reviews of this right now. Thank you!
You're welcome! It's a great product!!!
I like you reviews formula, what RBR stage is that? Looks very good
Semetin
Thank you!!!
@@DouglasThompson wow, that's a 12 years old stage, looks as good as the recently released ones (Wolibórz, Biskupice, Rościszów... )
It's a great stage!!!
I also just got the XB-1...I love it so far. Great review.
Yes Indeed this handbrake is permanent on my rig unless by some chance they release an updated model. :)
Ya i really like mine too just trying new combos - which elastomer combo are you using?@@SleepyPantsSimRacing
@@Circletakesthejake I think the softest one. It's black
Still thinking of the front and back of my fingers, darnit..😁
Liking the fast lock to move the shifter in or out of the way.👍
Lol...there's no hard definition it's all based on perspective.
Ya I feel like it would be nice for someone that switches things around a lot.

Ohhh yeahhhh.
I own this push pull shifter and it’s worth it 10000%. Build quality is awesome! What bracket did you use to mount it to your rig?
The one that came with it. Just used the two mounting points and it's solid.

Great video man, very nice gear. Would love to try some of the SimLab swag some day if I get me into PC
You will one day! ;)
I love this light blue. But not in combination with this yellow with is not really yellow or gold. Good vid and advice.
Hey Douglas, How does the Sim Lab handbrake feel compared to your favourite (of the 3) Aliexpress Handbrake? Cheers!
Insanely good. Wish it had more travel but it feels amazing.
@@SleepyPantsSimRacing thanks!
The first shifter was used by Subaru in 1999 Argentina Rally ;)
and funfact: they ended on position 1 and 2 😂

I haven't noticed that. I'll have to keep an eye out! Thank you for the kind words too!
Beans.
LITTLE monster
I know this is an older video but if you still have it, which elastomer do you use?
The black one I believe.
What RBR mod is that? The track looks awesome.
Rbr pro :)

Sure you can add me.
Ya I used to love putting headlights and wipers on my shifters.
