Goodford Model Railway Showcase 3. Bachmann Colas Class 70 805 Long Engineers train

Whilst it far exceeds the capacity of the fiddle yard, whilst a friend was visiting Goodford Model Railway we thought it would be fun to try putting all my engineers wagons on 1 train and see how it looked.
The pulling power of the Bachmann class 70 is clearly impressive and it didn’t experience any noticeable wheel slip.
The loco is fitted with an ESU Loksound V5 decoder with sounds from Olivias Trains and a double iPhone speaker from Roads and Rails.

That was very impressive sight and sound! These beauties are big bucks on ebay and very hard to find! Suprised Bachmann never did a second run, maybe a weathered example or even the diamond logo that replaced the hard hat on the cabsides. Very impressive pulling power just like the real thing really! Well I think the 70 made a very good account of itself, normally not known to be a powerful model due to not being to heavy, seemed to cope with that lot no problem Nice one

Very surprised it made such light work of this lot. The first batch of ballast wagons have resin loads too!

Wow - now that's what I call an engineers train! 70805 gets a much easier run on my little layout. Cracking loco and thanks for sharing.

Love the engineers train I am planning a lot of stuff like that on my new layout even a dedicated engineers yard too although mine is 80s 90s era thanks for sharing 👍
