As a hobby woodworker who hasn't sold a single thing yet I think I have "invested" like 10-15k already. Maybe I'll start selling stuff eventually, but for now I'm just building for myself and my family. Small furniture and cutting boards and stuff like that

      I don’t even get that!!
I have a pretty capable shop - no it can’t do “everything” but I’m neither interested in doing “everything” nor do I want to. Nor can one be an expert with proficiency at every discipline of woodworking. Do what you do well, find your stride, follow the market, put out something better and different than someone else.
I’m pretty sure if I had to buy the basic tools and start over tomorrow I could buy in to start doing what I do with less than $5,000. All you need is a decent cast iron tables saw, a not cheap compound mitre saw and stand, some wood chisels, say something like a Porter Cable cordless tool set that includes a jigsaw, some measuring tools, the two-base bosch router and basic cheap cutters, a cheap Pony bench vise and an end vise, and $500 of plywood and 2x4s, some screws. That will get you all you need to make a decent usable bench and some tablesaw sleds and you’ll be in business. Granted, I have way more woodworking tools than that but at 58yo I’ve been amazed sometimes with how few tools I actually use!
Going over some old pictures of work I did back to 1988 and in the 1990s the other day with my sister here is a comment I made to her after viewing the cleated tabletops (to keep seasonal movements from splitting the tops) and mortises, etc.: “I can’t believe I did that! I can’t imagine how I built that- I had no tools!” Some pieces were done when I only had a circular saw, cheapo jigsaw, jobsite carpentry tools, and a Mayes drywall square. And I built on some 2x4 sawhorses.
Start building, sell it, do it again, and stop buying stuff you don’t even know if you need!

I was wondering if could do a segment on what you shops electrical system is? How big your panel is, how many different circuits for 220v/110. It’s not something I see covered under woodworking Channels and it’s an important aspect to how a wood shop runs.

731 how did you learn to create blueprints for your projects that sell? I'm new to woodworking, I can "see" what to finished piece looks like in my mind, but I don't have the skill to put it on paper and make it understandable to anybody else. My projects for the moment are specific to my current needs on my homestead. While I believe that others may buy my finished pieces I know that many like myself would rather build it, so I figured doing both like yourself. What app do you use, did you learn to use the app, do you pay somebody else to create blueprints for your projects?

If you are buying tools with your profit then profit is not profit but more expenses. You do however create more assets. You only get to count it as profit once you get to spend it on new cars, new houses, taking trips etc. You also have to save money to pay taxes too right?

If you pay attention to these stories you can identify the same pattern. None of these guys have worked in s woodworking shop before. They all had a well paying job to rely on and fall back to if necessary. It also provided them with the extra cash they needed to set up a shop. If you work in a wood shop for somebody, you will never make enough money to buy s house with shopspace and launch your own business. Sad truth what nobody talks about.
